While the Congress high command has expressed 'displeasure' over this political move - not a word from Rahul Gandhi who talked about setting up a 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan' and putting the Constitution over everything else. If the Congress now apes the BJP - what are its own core ideological tenants? It is a question that the Congress will have to answer sooner than later.

Himachal is a small state so they often overlook issues there. The unemployment here is so high. The state has literally been dancing around bankruptcy. For two plus years now they haven't issues any hp judiciary seats; only five to six posts in higher up administration are announced each year. Teachers are underpaid (no new hiring, also shutting down of so many government schools), moreover teachers are not getting some of their allowances for a long time now! (A few months ago secretariat staff staged a lot of protests) Some government officials aren't even getting their salary!
No hiring. No salary to those already hired. Like, of course, unemployment is the worst here!! And mind you government jobs are THE most sought after employment in HP!
People aren't getting their pension. Tax burden is through the roof!
All this communalistic and casteist rhetoric is being flared by politicians, i think, to distract from these facts and ground realities. Because Unemployed youth is the easiest to radicalise!

I am from Himachal Pradesh. The Congress govt hasn't done anything from the past two years. The commission which will conduct govt exam has been suspended from past two years. They even don't gave salaries of employees on time. The chief minister and his cabinet isn't doing anything. This is the worst ever government in the history of Himachal Pradesh.
