    The only thing that matters about a martial art is its applicability. Great to finally see something like this.

    This really looks like the 32 Jianshu routine used in modern wushu.

    • @tweetalig
      @tweetalig 2 года назад +1

      I was quick to dismiss this set as the 32 jianshu as well. But it is not. This is actually a very old and traditional set that was passed along the Silk Road. It's pretty famous in the north of course. Remember modern changquan comes from traditional movements. The 32 jian opens up like this set but then watch both sets closely, and you'll notice they are actually different.

    I can't remember when or where I first saw the form or disparate elements of it... But it's a true mystery embedded in art that leaps forward from idle emulation, somehow calling forth pursuit of its essence. An excellent showcase and explication of what can be attained.

    Li sifu,exellent analisys of panlong kin is it possible to also show this same concept of the kunlun kin from hung ga?

    • @cwscma
      @cwscma  2 года назад +1

      Yes, this is the way to find the original concept of Kunlun Kin, however their themes are different and very important to help us to find and understand the hidden awareness of them.

    I've seen a number of his videos n his explanation on the application of his kung fu moves but in real life street fights it is entirely a different scenario. It is chaotic n your opponent is always on the move. In all the videos the other guy don't really move, it is always the sifu dictating the moves. In my own opinion n perogative it doesn't work. I have many street fights experience sometimes u don't even know what is landing at your face n the next minute u are being floored. There is a Chinese saying one guts, two strength and three then is kung fu. If u adopt these strategy n then u learn kung fu then it will be useful. last but not least u must engage in lots of fights n u must land in hospital n get lots of stitches then u will be a good fighter. By then u will know what kind of martial arts really suits you in real life situation. The videos is only discussing fighting styles n how u counter them on paper only.

      What street fight has a sword duel

    • @chanlucky374
      @chanlucky374 2 года назад

      I won't say a sword duel but in a gang clash it's sometimes machete vs samurai sword or vs long big wooden poles, anything that is lengthy but still his technique doesn't work. The opponent is always on the move. So even a split second slower u will get slashed.

      Every fighting system in the world from American football to soccer to Kung Fu to MMA to national militaries on exercises have drills where the opposing side stays still so the technique or techniques can be practiced slowly.
      Even MMA does that and uses those static drills as a foundation for free fighting.
      You’re not gonna take your 14 year old daughter on her first driving lesson on the freeway are you? No, you’re gonna take her to a huge parking lot on a early Sunday morning when it’s empty and give her a foundation, she’ll use that as a base to venture out on the open road.
      It’s the same thing here with the sword drills. Body mechanics and muscle memory first and free fighting later.
