Outstanding video. I've installed chains so many times and I love these new type of chains (new to me, at least) which are so easy to install and stay on the tire so well.
Thank you so much I haven't put chains on since I left Alaska. But the better question is how deep of snow do you need chains cause Alaska has good road clearing but down here in the states I think not. I'll be traveling through Utah and there's going to be 0.2 inches of snows wondering if I need chains for my 08 Sebring
If it's snowy out and the roads aren't bare, you can put them on in a parking lot. If it's bare roads, it's generally avoided unless you are only going short distances down them before going into snow.
because a full set of winter tires take up a lot of room and they cost a lot money. also if you dont buy a second set of rims your going to have to pay for them to be mounted and then unmounted when winter is over. chains are agreat alternative to winter tires for when snow/ice only happens a couples times a year

@@KaiserTom thank you very much😊
Why so few drivers use winter tires in Oregon? We have mandatory safety items but snow tires aren't mandatory. They do save lives.
Who wants to keep a whole pair of snowtires in their apartment when the summer comes?

@@thaton3guy100 not a big price to pay for safety and peace of mind imo. WInter tires provide better grip below 40F so not only on ice and snow.
@@lukem9707 at a low end of 200$ per tire it is a big price to pay when chains are more than adequate for most people
Thanks! 🙂
Excellent
Those tires are bald
if i need tire chains i need to move
The tire tread lol
