    can't believe they still refuse to put a full size keyboard on their larger laptops. Will be interesting to see if them making the laptops thicker solves their thermal issues that have plagued the 14, 15, and 17.

    • @nicholaicorbie
      @nicholaicorbie  Год назад +9

      I think the size of the keyboard is a compromise for the speaker placement. If they can place the speakers elsewhere then that should make space for a bigger keyboard. I haven't had any thermal issues so far but the fan becomes audible during sustained workloads which is expected for this class of laptop.

      If you want a full size keyboard buy one separately and also they are useless

      @@UCm0i6w5lBlRthCtZEoj99tg sure some people don't need the keypad and fine leave it out...the least they could have done was use full size arrow keys.

    What a sensational machine, it looks like a MacBook hehehe ... a pity that Razer does not sell these machines here in Brazil, a powerful and super minimalist machine, incredible.

    • @Enrickos81
      @Enrickos81 Год назад +1

      It is quite beautiful and elegant but it lacks minimalist details to be the MacBook Pro, for example to make the computer boot faster, it should only load with the window logo, not load the Razer logo, error number 1, error 2nd ports usb 1.0 type a, discarded, those ports just take up space. today the best udb type c. 3rd and lacks the MagSafe charge.

    How about the BIOS? The BIOS of the 2022 RB17 was very limited, unlike the offerings from ASUS, Lenovo, Dell, MSI etc. Is it still the same? Can you please also add the BIOS settings to your full review? Thank you.

    How did razer manage to fuck this up?
    Every year they make high end laptops with a premium price and are missing 30%+ performance vs competition.
    this year no different.

    I just got mine as well. Quick question for you. When I go to the Nvidia control panel, I do not have any display settings. Just 3D settings. Under system information in the control panel it says Advanced Optimus “no”. Was curious to see if yours was the same way. I’m unable to enable G-Sync or any other display features. The description on Razer’s website clearly states it has G-Sync and Advanced Optimus.

      Did you look within intel graphics control panel ?

    • @nicholaicorbie
      @nicholaicorbie  Год назад +1

      When I go into my NVIDIA control panel I have display settings. Under Manage Display Settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel there should be options for Optimus and NVIDIA GPU only. Under Display in the NVIDA Control Panel there is Set up G-SYNC which should give you access to the G-SYNC controls.

      go to razer synapse, system, preformance, and put it on dedicated GPU mode, this will run the display through the GPU and it should give you more options.
      Regularly your problem should not be their in the first place, remember GPU mode will decrease battery life.

    • @flamingkillermc2806
      @flamingkillermc2806 Год назад

      You have a software issue, update to latest windows 11, and go to GeForce experience and update to latest gaming drivers.
      As the blade 18 has advanced optimus, you should not have to put it into dedicated GPU mode manual it should have been switching seamlessly.

    I sent mine in for screen bleed. How was your unit!? Also if you ever have to deal with Razer Support, good luck. Its the main reason why I will NEVER buy a Razer product after learning more about how they service after purchase.

      @@binet23 my light bleed was bad, I could see it during the windows boot up and while gaming out of the box. I would suggest doing research because photos will be the better teacher here if you’re not familiar with the issue. It’s normal for most laptops and most screens, mine I took issue with because it was a $4k laptop I purchased and I demand perfection at that amount lol.
