Big wave from a fan in Portugal! I've connected with some local guys here that enjoy playing Celtic, old-time and bluegrass. We played a St Paddy's gig at an Irish themed bar named Sharks in Figueria da Foz. I contributed my mando and bodhran skills. Still pinching myself over this falling into my lap. The Viper sounds nice. I'm curious what tool/technique you use to create background music?
Hello! Wow, it sounds like you're doing a lot of playing in Portugal, that's fantastic! Wish I would've known about it when I visited there last November. Had an incredible time visiting there, it's such a beautiful country! Thanks for the compliment on the Viper! As for the backing tracks, I compose most of it using virtual instruments (VSTs) with MIDI in Reaper (DAW app), but occasionally I also record myself playing harmonies. It's an ever-evolving process that I'm still figuring out! :)
Hey , sorry to leave two comments, but I was wondering does that electronic violin have frets ? Cause the fingerboard looks like a mandolin . Thanks , moe
No problem! Yes, it's a special model called a Viper made by Mark Wood Violins. Mine has frets, although I haven't used them too much yet! Playing it feels a lot like a regular violin (I don't notice the frets unless I look at them), but it has 7 strings instead of 4 so the string position/spacing is different.
@@WendOLynnFiddle wow 7 strings , I've seen the 5 strings with the viola c , thanks i know you're busy so you don't have to write me back every time , I don't want to be a bother , thanks , bye moe
