Thanks a lot! This video introduced me to some methods I wasn't familiar with.

I cant extrude the text, done exactly what you did and fusion tells me "cant finish the extrusion". You have an idea what the issue is?

Great video! Exactly answered my question as I'm starting to use a Shaper Origin in my hobbyist woodshop... And now I have a great idea for next Thanksgiving! Thanks much!

Curious why the good advice on proper constraints at the beginning and using the offset. But then you totally make that constraint less valuable by placing the text based off the center point at a specific distance, versus as a constraints offset from the inner circle so it could adjust as needed (like you pointed out in the beginning)?
    Or am I missing something
    That aside, a good tutorial

You don't know of a way to dimension by arc/curve *length*, do you?

Possibly. Plz, explain a bit more. Exactly what needs to drive what? What parameters are involved? I'm always up for a challenge :) ...

@@swamihuman9395 basically, if I were drawing a circle, I would want to dimension it by its circumference. I want to draw an arc, and make the distance between the two end points a certain amount.
The thing that brought it up is wanting to draw a pattern of a 2d piece that would roll to be the bottom of a cone (a lampshade). So the 3d finished object would be a loft from a circle of diameter 1 to another circle of diameter 2. The distance between them would be length 1. Now the pattern would be two concentric arcs, with diameters of (something) and (something) +length 1, and arc lengths of diameter 1 and diameter 2. My specific example could be figured out with some simple algebra, but that shouldn't have to be done if the proper tool for dimensioning is available.
I feel like I typed a lot but didn't actually explain any more. Hope it makes sense.

Oops. Too bad no spellcheck in Fusion Text. Hmm...do only way I know to dimension an arc is by diameter. Or if you create a Center Point Arc you can define by angle.

@@DesktopMakes dang. I know I can figure this specific application with some math, but that's definitely a feature that would be quite useful.
