    How to make vegetarian wontons in 4 ways?
    Are you looking for recipes to make veggie wontons? Today I will to show you a very easy recipe to add more taste to veggie wontons, and how to make wontons in four ways. Another classic vegetarian recipe in the Chinese kitchen. No need to buy exotic ingredients, just tofu and vegetables are enough. This is a step-for-step instruction.
    中文菜谱请看下面 :-))
    Vegan Wonton Soup / Wonton in Chilli oil
    Ingredients
    250 g wonton Wrappers
    For the filling:
    50g Bok Choy or spinach
    50g firm tofu
    4 pieces dried shiitake mushrooms1 green onion
    10g ginger
    2 tbsp oil
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tbsp sesame oil
    500 ml vegetable broth
    Garnish with green onion, sesame seeds and chili oil if you like
    Preparation
    1 Unpack Wan Tan Wraps and place them in a kitchen towel and let them thaw for about 1,5 hours.
    TIP: Do not soak in water or defrost in microwave. Once the package is opened, it's important to always keep them covered under a damp towel, as the edges will dry out, making it very difficult to work with.
    2 Wash the dried shiitake mushrooms and soak them in lukewarm water for at least 1 hour, then squeeze them and chop them finely.
    3 Wash the spring onion and cut it into fine rings, peel and chop the ginger.
    4 crush the tofu with a fork.
    5 heat 2 tablespoons oil, fry the shiitake mushrooms and the chopped spring onion and ginger for about 2 minutes.
    6 Add tofu and all remaining ingredients for the filling and continue to fry for another 3 minutes. Put everything in a bowl and put aside.
    7 Clean and chop the Bok Choy, add 1 teaspoon of salt and let it stand for about 5 minutes, squeeze out the water and add it to the filling.
    8 Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and mix the filling well.

    Thank you. Is it necessary to drain the tofu before adding to the filling? I was concerned that the wonton will leak if the filling has too much moisture.

    • @soyasoyang-soykitchen
      @soyasoyang-soykitchen  7 месяцев назад

      You're right to be concerned! Whether it's wonton or dumplings, if the filling is too wet, not only does it not wrap well, but it also tends to cook and leak. That's why tofu needs to be pressed as dry as possible, or fried beforehand. Another tip to share with you is that if you toss the filling with a tablespoon of sesame oil or other vegetable oil before seasoning and salting the filling again, it will also seal in excess moisture in the vegetables or tofu. Happy cooking!

    It looks delicious! And I love the way you explain it very simply :) Just a question: Is it possible to freeze wontons?

    • @soyasoyang-soykitchen
      @soyasoyang-soykitchen  3 года назад +3

      Thank YOU! Yes, homemade wontons and dumplings can be frozen for storage, as I often do.
      Choose a small tray that fits your freezer.
      Line the tray with parchment/baking paper.
      Place the wonton on the tray so they are not touching each other and place the tray in the freezer. There is no need to cover them. When they are frozen solid, gently remove and place them in a plastic container or bag. Have fun with wontons manufactory:-))

      😜鸡排,听上去也不错呢!鳗鱼的样子和口味分别主要来源于用刀割的"豆腐"表面的纹路和海苔的味道。非常谢谢你的尝试,希望你还有兴趣继续做实验!💐
