People should start to realize that Elon Musk isn't this eccentric and profoundly innovative inventor from 'outer space?' Musk came from a very wealthy family. To many peoples surprise, he didn't actually invent Tesla. Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning started and engineered Tesla. Musk simply bought a tiny 12% share when the stock prices were so so cheap. The same happened with PayPal and most recently, Twitter. Or should I say 'X'. The only company he founded solo was Space X, and even that was engineered by others, alongside president of the company, Gwynne Shotwell and dozens of engineers. He's never actually invented any of these things, he's just bought into them at the right time. The idea that he's this genius GOD - like figure that is revolutionizing the planet is just total nonsense. He has a degree in Economics, not engineering. He's a businessman, not an inventor. Although he's clearly very intelligent and has worked very hard to get where he's at, he didn't "come from nothing" and I'd take everything he says with a pinch of salt. He's the greatest showman on earth, often selling his own shares to keep other projects above water, which is never a good sign from an investors standpoint. And anything Tucker Carlson says should be disregarded. Musk might be a showman, but hes very intelligent i give him that. Carlson is just a total idiot with a simplistic, binary overview of how the world works.
Wheeling out the robotaxi thing again. Ain't going to happen for many years, likely never. If Tesla actually had a viable robotaxi, why would it sell them? Think about that.
It's literally been in the works for years They have an Uber app already internally Their strategy is obvious. It's not to sell a car but to dump them with no steering wheel and charge a netflix subscription monthly It's currently $250 for FSD monthly And it makes sense because who would own a car below $30K IF a ride was $3 and they were like Lime bikes I genuinely believe the market for small cheap cars is going away. What's the margin on a cheap EV? 4%?
@TheMagicJIZZ what I mean is that the ROI on an actual robotaxi would be very high, even if the software was a few hundred a month. So again, if it was legitimate why wouldn't Tesla just create a big fleet and become the largest taxi player in the world?
