Hey Kenneth great question! Yeah I have done much for AppMachine just based on the type of applications I'm looking to build. Not a bad choice but compared to bubble, FlutterFlow and even bildr not my preferred pick. What you are trying to build?

FlutterFlow has several options for the canvas area. For more details check out the documentation for FF here- docs.flutterflow.io/

Great vid. The ending hit me. I have been doing a lot of research but not taking action. All of this no code stuff is new to me as I'm trying to find ways to solve problems in the current industries I'm in. Fitness and Music.
I see the potential of creating a micro Saas but just haven't really done much. I've been working out ideas and can't nail down an idea to stick with.

I would Focus on one industry and give yourself a timeline to launch something to see if anyone wants your idea before building.
My latest livestream Paul and I talked about this more in-depth

would a simple tic tac toe game with my 2 character images work with either platform free version?

Perhaps thunkable but I would prob lean towards using buildbox instead
      signup.buildbox.com/

Hi Doc, Nice video. By accident, I was thinking about switching, and Flutterflow and Thunkable were one of the platforms I was thinking of to maybe switch to or maybe learn next to.
Right now I am busy with GlideApps. It is very nice but I want to move on. I want to try something else. The problem is, that with my health condition, it will take me more time to learn new things. In the past, I already left some comments on your videos with questions. Always happy to see your replies. My idea is still the same. I want to create an app for myself. I have no plans of selling it. (for now, who knows what the future will bring)
Because of my health condition, I am using an existing app to keep track of my medication. But recently they have updated the app and used a different layout and I think a different language, and things are not always working correctly. If I have something I could control myself, that would be nice. I have made something simple in Glideapps and it works okay, but I want to extend it. I am using the free plan in GlideApps because as I said, it is only me who is using it. Also in Glideapps, if you switch to a paid plan, you need to have a credit card. And I don't have or want to have any. I want to keep track of my medication. If can, I want to app to give an alarm when it is time to take some medication. If this is not possible, then I will just use the alarm on my phone. But I want to schedule medication and when it is a certain time, it would be nice that it will show a list of what I need to take. Then there is the option to tick all the medication and it will be deducted from what I have in stock. There is one medication that has different dosages on different days and this can change every week, so it needs to be flexible. I also want to be able to keep track of my blood pressure, pulse, weight, and one more thing. It would be nice if these measurements could be shown in some kind of graph.
It is a lot and maybe sounds complicated. But I hope you could give me some advice. It would be nice if it is easy to learn, and if it could be as free as possible.
Many thanks in advance for your reply and time.

      Sorry you’re not feeling well!
This depends on your time but I would probably just stick to flutterflow. Worst case scenario if they decide to change their plans etc you can just download the code and move off of the platform.
Again the learning curve is steeper with FF but long term that would be the move I would make.

Hey Doc, when it comes to FlutterFlow, have you or have you heard of anyone having issues with SEO? When I was researching, that was one of the only concerns I saw among the community. The fact that flutter doesn't use server side rendering (at least by default) is a concern I have. Just wondering if you either had a solution for it, or if it isn't much of a concern.

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  Год назад +2

Hey great question! I haven't seen any issue that I know of but with pretty much and app platform I usually work with startups that are using any other platform and subdomain for their blog to be specific about their SEO strategy.
I see a lot of times the blog is a WordPress site and they go from there. Hope that helps and let me know if you have more questions!

I'd like to create a habit tracking app with accountability/friends/friendly competition/social aspects as a newbie to this scene and very little C# experience; what's the best bet FlutterFlow, Thunkable, or something else❓
And once again thank you for this top tier content Doc I made sure to like 🙏
Edit ✏: Plus what do you think of the fact that we have these AI custom code assistants do we really need to know as much low code as we used to? 🤔

    • @docwilliams

Great question and glad you're liking the content! Depends if this is just for personal use or trying to scale. For personal use, I would prob look at Glide. If I wanted to scale I would prob go with FlutterFlow.
But with AI chatbots and AI agents, it depends on the interface or how you interact with your app. You could do this with automation and a chatbot for this idea as well.
Hope that helps and feel free to ask more questions.

Hey, nice vids Ive seen so far.
I'd like to learn a platform that will allow me to expand as my skillset grows, which Flutterflow sounds like the ticket. At the end, you mentioned learning a coding language, aghhh lol. Im new to no code, but I love Excel and can catch on pretty quick.
My first app seems kind of simple as it needs to take photos and a few checkboxes, and store/upload that data and images in an organized fashion depending on the checkboxes clicked.
But this app needs to work offline (which is why I stopped using Glide unfortunately). This 1 app I'd like to get out sooner than later, maybe in the next 2 to maybe 3 months. So not sure if I should dive into Flutterflow with this project or take it elsewhere. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey thanks for stopping by and glad you’re liking the content! In general I would suggest learning flutterflow.
You don’t need to learn how to code but if you know the principles it can allow you to increase the functionality of the app or work with other devs to scale up your project.
      But I wouldn’t start there.
Based on your project idea you could do that with flutterflow and the platform keeps getting better and better.
      Hope that helps take care!
