Hello from Australia! As we near the end of our weekend here, I am happy to say that my whole family has banded together to declutter some of our belongings. I listed so many things on Marketplace for free and as people turned up to collect items, I invited them to look through a pile of stuff I had put aside for donations. Oh boy! What a wonderful feeling! Freeing up our space and bringing a smile to people's faces!

Just found your page yesterday and I’m loving it. I just lost my mom/my best friend on July 24. Had her here with us for a month on hospice when she found out her breast cancer that she beat two years ago came back in her spine and lungs. Lost my dad 5 years ago, they are together again but I’m lost without my ma.
I’m so sorry for your loss! 😭 my dad was my best friend too and losing him felt like such a big piece missing from my life 💔 still have moments where I have to remind myself that I can’t call him when something “big” happens in my life - so I just give him updates in my nightly prayers. We did vacations, holidays, outings and everything with my folks and I worked with my dad at his garage/used car lot but just very different with my ma. I always want to pick up the phone to tell her stuff. Hugs to you and hoping for some motivation to declutter and purge. I feel it will help my mental state overall because it’s been stressing me for a few years. Once I’m healed from my intestine surgery that it get August 26, it’s game on
What a super declutter. I am a basic "I get rid of almost everything I haven't used in the past 2 years". I sell it, I donate and it feals good. Emotional stuff is the hardest, so I started my "do I need it in my hand, or is a picture good enough???" And that made a whole lot of difference. Many emotional stuff of my parents, that you normally store in a box and never see again, I made a photo of it, and put them together by topic and made a photo-album of them. And that works perfect, because you grab an album much easier and for me: it gives me the same beautiful memories as if I had the stuff in hand. Also you can organize photo-albums so much easier, it takes up much less space and cleaning is quicker. I am really looking forward to you next video. Keep up the good work!!

Wow I'm so proud of you that you've filled so many bags of donations 😇 Even tho it's the things to discard that I need the most motivation, it feels good to see that you're taking the time to sort things that can still be usefull for someonev else. When you've tossed all the random cables, I was hoping that you know which one is what because I have few old gaming systems from the 80-90's that are missing cables as they've probably been thrown away in those situations where there's just too many odd cables that we start to throw out a lot untill we search for the Sega Genesis one 4 years later 🤣 I hope that if you go like this through magazines/catalogues or your clothes, that you'll include the clip of either tossing them in the kitchen/bathroom trash if there's not that many or while dumping the bag as the way you use clean bags to throw out things, I would personally just leave them in the garage for those things 🤭

Oh my gosh, I was wondering if I would ever find someone who lived close to me on here and was excited to hear you live in Cincinnati! My family and I live in Dayton. Though we may never meet, it is just nice to see people from your same area. I don't know if others feel that way, or if it is just me. I get you hun! I keep school things from both of my daughters. I got a 16 pocket folder from Amazon for each girl and keep all of it in those. I love that you ask about prayer requests. I am not one to typically ask, but my family could use some prayer right now. We have been through alot, things started looking up and were wonderful, then this year, we have just been hit with 1 thing right after another. From health issues, to family passing, finances, teen kids, trying to figure out what God wants us to do next, etc. It's just been a lot. I am so incredibly thankful that I found your channel. You are such an encouragement, blessing, and a light to so many. Keep up the incredible work hun!

😊hey Kelly, here is my method to know which cabel belongs to which electronic item: I use my Dymo- Labelprinter to write down the name of the equipment to which it belongs. Than I wrapp it around the cabel like a flag and....you will forever know where it belongs to!! 👍🤠🇩🇪

We lost our house 6 years ago in a fire that started next door and took ours too. The houses were built in 1880 so they went up pretty fast and were hard to put out. After losing all the kids and our childhood mementos it’s little easier not holding onto everything now. I’m crushed not having all their baby’s first this and that and things from my childhood and even a few things from my parents childhoods but then we ended up in a big house and overfilled it with stuff and now we’re in a smaller house but in the country with some land like we’ve always wanted but we’re drowning in stuff now. Every time I say we’re going to declutter something happens and we don’t do it. My dad passed, my ma got cancer, I had hysterectomy, depression, my ma got cancer back and just passed. Been emptying her apartment and bringing even more into our house. Sigh and now on August 26 I have to get about 1.5 feet of my intestines removed and resectioned and will be laid up. Ugh

So glad that you and your family are safe and I’m so sorry to hear everything it took from you. When you've tossed all the random cables, I was hoping that you know which one is what because I have few old gaming systems from the 80-90's that are missing cables as they've probably been thrown away in those situations where there's just too many odd cables that we start to throw out a lot untill we search for the Sega Genesis one 4 years later 🤣
I hope that if you go like this through magazines/catalogues or your clothes, that you'll include the clip of either tossing them in the kitchen/bathroom trash if there's not that many or while dumping the bag as the way you use clean bags to throw out things, I would personally just leave them in the garage for those things 🤭

I get you hun! I keep school things from both of my daughters. I got a 16 pocket folder from Amazon for each girl and keep all of it in those.
I love that you ask about prayer requests. I am not one to typically ask, but my family could use some prayer right now. We have been through alot, things started looking up and were wonderful, then this year, we have just been hit with 1 thing right after another. From health issues, to family passing, finances, teen kids, trying to figure out what God wants us to do next, etc. It's just been a lot.
I am so incredibly thankful that I found your channel. You are such an encouragement, blessing, and a light to so many. Keep up the incredible work hun!

😊hey Kelly, here is my method to know which cabel belongs to which electronic item:
I use my Dymo- Labelprinter to write down the name of the equipment to which it belongs. Than I wrapp it around the cabel like a flag and....you will forever know where it belongs to!! 👍🤠🇩🇪

We lost our house 6 years ago in a fire that started next door and took ours too. The houses were built in 1880 so they went up pretty fast and were hard to put out. After losing all the kids and our childhood mementos it’s little easier not holding onto everything now. I’m crushed not having all their baby’s first this and that and things from my childhood and even a few things from my parents childhoods but then we ended up in a big house and overfilled it with stuff and now we’re in a smaller house but in the country with some land like we’ve always wanted but we’re drowning in stuff now. Every time I say we’re going to declutter something happens and we don’t do it. My dad passed, my ma got cancer, I had hysterectomy, depression, my ma got cancer back and just passed. Been emptying her apartment and bringing even more into our house. Sigh and now on August 26 I have to get about 1.5 feet of my intestines removed and resectioned and will be laid up. Ugh
OMG! 😱 I’m so sorry to hear that 😭 I can imagine losing a home to a fire would put a lot of things into perspective as far as what’s important. So glad that you and your family are safe and I’m so sorry to hear everything it took from you.
