😂😂😂😂😂
Or dropping the Hot Dog?...
My experience summed up, when I stood in line in the hot Texas sun, at Pecan Lodge, finally got up to the counter and they told me that exact thing. I just had to settle with brisket and jalapeno smoked sausage, poor me.
So true 🤣
We love to make our sporting events as much of a party as possible. Something for the kids, something for adults, something for drunks.
That’s not junk food, it’s real food. Junk food is packaged processed foods like chips, etc. This made from expensive whole briskets of beef slow roasted and prepared by hand, for example.
lol a hot dog is very processed. But, it doesn't matter, just as long as you're getting lots of exercise to work off the calories. Here in California our obesity rate is only 27%, in Santa Clara County it's 18%....probably a lot more health conscious people out here. 🙂
In Texas it's 35%. 😲 (although, it's probably a lot lower in the liberal areas like Austin, Houston, El Paso, San Antonio. 🙂)
And that, boys and girls, is why Californian's are considered pompous asses by the rest of the country.😏
Wow.. Yeah because people with farmer’s bodies are considered obese, when in reality they are stronger than body builders. I’d take Texans over liberal trash every day of the year😂 (I’m from Cali I can say that.)
@@neutrino78xno it’s due to Hispanic populations actually. They tend to eat more carbs and fats in their dishes tbh.
@@Vlibba
"They tend to eat more carbs and fats in their dishes tbh."
Doing that without exercise would tend to make you obese. Our obesity is very low here in Santa Clara County, 18%, and we're 25% Latino. Probably a much greater percentage if mixed including Latino is counted (I'm looking at the US Census). California is 40% Latino overall, and has a lower obesity rate than Texas.
For Texas it's because of all the rednecks (outside of the major cities, as Houston, Dallas, El Paso etc voted properly, for Biden, which means they are better informed).
Maga breeds poverty, intellectually and spiritually and otherwise, which leads to people being unhealthy in every way.
Hopefully when Trump loses the Presidential race for the second time, the Republicans will finally realize maga is something that needs to be repressed.
Brisket ain't junk food. Quesabirria is made with short ribs. What was in the container wasn't beef fat. It's the soup that the meat and the dried chilies and seasonings cooked in.
Birria can be made from different cuts or even different meats. I've been to some places make it with chuck while others use short rib. Some even use tri tip.
A triple play is when 3 outs are made on a single play. Extremely rare. Every batter has their own song they want played when they come up to bat and pitchers coming in from the bullpen also have their own entrance music.
Triple double
@@Joedirt3349that’s basketball.
A single person is not meant to eat the whole 3 foot hot dog. It's meant as a fun experience for a group.
Yep..Just rip off a section...whatever size you are feeling at the time and dig in. 😋
Maybe if a person is hungry enough they can demolish the whole thing.
That's what she said...
😂😂 not when my brother and cousins go to the game! Every time, they’ll each by one and race to see who finishes first. Every time 😂
No it's not, but that's the real game here. Can you alone finish the 3-footer
This is why Americans have such adaptability and ingenuity, learning to eat these things and operate such things take real talent and skill
haha love it
It’s also why America has an obesity epidemic.
@@Jcs57 Sad, yet accurate
@@Jcs57 you must be really fun at parties...most people only eat like this at events or big celebrations lol. Having an obesity epidemic has nothing to do with enjoying good food at an event.
The song Josh was getting hyped about was “God Bless America” 🇺🇸🎵
😂Rookie mistake by the Jolly Boy's......we all know you always eat Nachos first to avoid a soggy mess
Howdy from Texas! That huge hotdog is ment to be cut up and shared. You aren't expected to eat the whole hotdog at once.
Each batter has walk-up music which is why there were short clips of a bunch of songs
Seems people from the UK know as much about baseball as Americans know about cricket.😅 I can't believe they went to a MLB baseball game just to eat and didn't even watch the game!
To be fair, I’ll watch a video of Josh and Olly eating but not of them watching a baseball game! They may have also edited for MLB reasons
Maybe they would have to pay for showing the game on YT.
MLB would've given them a copyright strike if they'd shown any of the ballgame. (Or Fox Sports, Peacock, Roku, NBC, ABC, etc.)
They didn't know any of the players of either team, much less the rules for baseball... They were there to eat ballpark food, period...
In the UK, cilantro is called "coriander." You can find it in the fresh herb section of your local grocery store. It would be best if you tried it before you visited the US. Some people possess a gene that causes cilantro to taste like soap; even a tiny amount can spoil an entire meal.
Coriander in the US is the dried seed of the cilantro plant. There is a plant culantro that is less "soapy" for those who find cilantro disagreeable. I ❤ all 3. Why we have a different name for the fresh vs seed I'll have to Google, because now I'm curious.
I love how Josh and Ollie have become Americans and call cilantro, rather than coriander 😅😂
I've got the "soap" gene, the only thing I can eat with a little cilantro in it is fresh home made pico de gallo.
@@misslora3896 Me too. I always request my meals without cilantro. My favorite taco truck will prepare anything cilantro-free for me. 😁
Cilantro tastes like cleaner to me! The smallest piece can ruin salsa ect. for me.
Seeing my state through Josh and Olly’s eyes just makes me appreciate it even more. God bless Texas🙏🏼❤️
13:22 He is saying birria quesadilla. Birria is a slow braised meat (that is usually goat or beef), that has been marinated in spices. It is traditionally served as a stew, but the meat can be used in other dishes. The liquid is used as a dipping sauce in this case. The broth may have some fat in it, but it is not all fat 😂
Birria is a very yummy and flavorful Mexican dish.
Right! It's broth not fat. 😂😂
I love a dish that is done amazing with their fats without ruining the flavor. Birria sounds like something up my alley.
@@AC-ni4gt Good birria is magical!
@@squirrel2000It sounds like a divine inspiration to my ears.
@AC-ni4gt This is what goes into a basic beef birria:
Ingredients:
4 to 5 pounds chuck roast, cut into large 4-inch chunks
Put all the following in a pot and boil for 30 minutes:
▢½ tablespoon kosher salt
▢½ tablespoon black pepper
▢1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
▢12 guajillo chiles, rinsed, stemmed, and seeded (about 2.5 oz)
▢5 ancho chiles, rinsed, stemmed, and seeded (about 2 oz)
▢5 árbol chiles, rinsed and stemmed (about 0.1 oz)
▢2 large Roma tomatoes
▢½ medium yellow onion
▢1 4-inch Mexican cinnamon stick
▢3 bay leaves
▢½ teaspoon whole black peppercorns
▢water, as needed
▢2 cups beef broth
▢¼ cup distilled white vinegar
▢5 cloves garlic, minced
▢1 teaspoon ground cumin
▢1 teaspoon dried Mexican oregano
▢½ teaspoon ground cloves
This is from online, but my recipe is essentially the same. I soak the dried chili's to soften. Then I remove the stems and seeds. Then cook everything but the meat to make the marinade. Cook for 30 minutes until ingredients are soft. Put the marinade in the blender and process until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve. Then add the meat to the marinade for 4 to 12 hours. Refrigerate. Remove meat, pat dry, and then brown it on all sides in a Dutch oven with some vegetable oil. Add the marinade to the meat in the Dutch oven. Cook covered in oven until meat is falling apart tender. About 3 hours or so. Use two forks to shred the beef into large chunks. You can thicken the sauce as for gravy if desired. If serving in a bowl as soup or stew, top with a little bit of finely chopped onion and cilantro.
Pair it with a salad, fresh flour tortillas, and a flan /fresh fruit for dessert.
It is also excellent as the meat in tacos, burritos, quesadilla, etc. Of course, cheese goes well with it.
Enjoy!
What I love is that, MLB teams have had a mini replica helmet that's filled with ice cream. All 30 MLB teams do this, and have done that for 10-15 years.
Actually, they've been doing it since at least the early 80s. At least, that's as far back as I can remember getting them.
Astros and I'm sure others will do a bigger helmet with Nachos
@@saremileGiants and the A's do, I have one of each!
Just an FYI, if you do ever come to the US, I hope you save up for all of this food you want to eat. A LOT of this food is expensive! Yeah, these two never tell you how much they spend on their little eating sprees, do they? Seafood is expensive, and that barbeque they got at Terry Black's, I guarantee they spent around $200-300 for all that food. Good BBQ is hella expensive, especially for the beef ribs and brisket.
How appropriate--he is eating that brisket sandwich while the music in the background is "God Bless America!". And the best part is he does not know it.
The three foot hot dog would most likely be bought by a group of people (or a family) and the cut into pieces and ate in sections.
“How do you even eat that?!” I had to literally fight the urge to yell at my phone “WITH YOUR MOUTH” 😂😂😅 also they’re so brave for getting ballpark food with white shirts haha
BIRRIA TACOS! My absolute favorite Mexican food!
The music playing out his emotions is God Bless America
There are dispensers with plastic knives and forks at the concession stands.
Yes. We Americans are pros when it comes to food to enjoy. Looks and appearances are secondary to flavor.
Per a Google search , the average Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise was valued at nearly $2.41 billion
That's right B for Billion!
What's the biggest soccer team go for
@@christinezehnle7552 Several soccer teams are in the $5-6 billion range. Real, United, Baca, City, Munich, Liverpool.
Short bursts of music is walk up music. As each player comes to bat they play music.
A triple play is when the make 3 outs on same play.
And the Dallas Cowboys are worth around $9 billion.
Nachos are soggy Because they waited too long to eat them.
4:31 That looks like pulled brisket. It is slow smoked until it is falling apart tender. Then pulled apart into small pieces. Then you can put on some barbeque sauce (or not, if you prefer). The same thing is done with pork.
Baseball is a relatively slow game, so they use music and atmosphere to help liven things up. They play specific sounds based on what's happening during the game.
I could do without the fluff
And a triple play is when you get three men out in one play.
I'm glad Jolly came to Arlington TX. The stadium has a retractable roof so the players and fans can avoid the Texas sun. That definitely adds to the fun environment of the stadium.
Hahahaha god bless America was playing while they were eating the brisket sandwich.
Lewis, I love it when you get so excited watching the crazy things this country offers. I think I take too many things for granted, but let’s face it, this country is built on the belief that “bigger is better”. I can hardly wait to watch your videos of your visit here. I’ll get to vicariously see the US❤ through your eyes.
Don't save nachos for last, that is nachos 101
Right! If you order a combo plate you never eat the enchilada first, you eat the crispy (taco/tostada) first so the shells stay crisp and save the enchilada for last because it's soft and goes better with the beans and rice. That's why nachos are sold as an appetizer, so you eat them before they get soggy.
Ballpark hotdogs just hit different bro.
It’s kind of weird right it’s like the place you were meant to have a hotdog
For $7.00 plus apiece they should.
A hot dog at a ball park is better then a steak from any steakhouse.
They're typically MUCH better meat than in a supermarket hot dog.
Sam's Club branded 'members mark' hot dogs (1/4 lb each) are actually ball-park quality. They kinda spoil you on ever buying oscar meyer & such again. Especially at the price.
The only thing I learned watching this video is that British men like white shirts lol.
😂😂😂😂 Subbed for the comment 😂😂😂
A white shirt is magnetically attracted to sauces.
Its cheaper to buy the big hotdog and share with your fam, friends/group. You cut it...its a fun experience to share.
My white shirt would never have made it through all that food lol
No white shirt would.
White shirts are far more attracted to sauces than carpets are to the buttered side of toast.
Baseball stadiums are each so unique and each so exciting to go to in their own right, even if not a baseball fan.
I love how their mouths are just hanging wide open! I've seen Josh and Ollie surprised before, but this was a first! 🤠
7:58 "I'm glad he kinda knows" as he says the completely wrong thing is true comedy. A triple play is where you get three outs in one play
The ballpark experience is such a blast, and the Texas Rangers certainly have an incredible ballpark to visit. That giant hotdog is called "The Boomstick", named after Nelly Cruz and his homerun streak one season. Everything is bigger in Texas!! 😂
That would be me, the last food item sold before I got there, then dropping the food! Lol 🤣
They’re not even watching the game. They just came for the food! Lol. 😅
The irony of Olly being willing to rob a bank for the Texas Rangers when in fact the Texas Rangers are the state law enforcement agency (as well as the name of a baseball team)!!
Theses are special event foods made extreme
Sweet Baby Ray's is in my fridge right now...
A triple play is not when the bases are loaded and they all run in for a home run, but it means that the defense team gets 3 players out on the one play. That would be like someone hitting a fly ball and it is caught, then 2 players on bases get tagged out. A "Grand Slam" is the term for when all 3 bases are loaded with players and the batter up hits a home run out of the park.
If you don't understand baseball, don't worry. Just go for the stadium experience. You won't regret it! Our baseball stadiums are amazing! The food is great too!
Bites the brisket sandwich and “God Bless America” plays 😂
The triple play is just the opposite of what he said. He could not have been more wrong. LOL
I don't know about now a days but in the 80's we used to go see The Oakland A's play on Tuesday and it cost $2 to get in and they had $1 hotdogs and cokes.
That'd be like finding a 40,000 house, in 2024 money.
I love seeing people freak out over our new stadium! But I’m so sad that they aren’t playing at the old Ballpark in Arlington anymore, it was so beautiful and was brick just like the all the old Ballparks!
@@Richiedagger87 that was and still is such a beautiful place! I love the brick work!
@@brittc3924 man it was, and still is lol. I remember going to the last game at the original ballpark before that one (which ended up being the parking lot) and it was really ugly. We used to say that it looked like a tin can. Stadiums just don’t have that same charm and beauty that those old brick ones had! I’m glad that you enjoyed it as well!
Not sure about Arlington, but in St Louis many people missed the old stadium, but a friend worked there, and said that under the nostalgic exterior, it was really falling apart. wiring & plumbing done 'cheaply' just cemented into structural walls, etc. Leaks, mold, power problems, degrading structural integrity, etc. They got to a point that they had to bring in bottled water & generators to operate. Even for the grass they trucked in water which wouldn't ruin the turf. All pretty much out of sight of the fans, but it needed replacing badly.
Oh I saw this Jolly vid earlier Lewis, and was like oh man, Lewis is going flip his shit over that hot dog with all those onions and jalepenos! ❤
I thought he was going to go nuts over the nachos themselves.
I saw it also. He didn't waste anytime doing a video on this!
@@Patty-mt3le right!! I can't wait for him to get over here.
The Texas Rangers moved to GlobeLife Field in 2020 after 26 years at The Ballpark In Arlington (Proper Name). The old park was an open-air facility like Arlington Stadium that preceded it from 1971-1993. The Rangers finally decided to move to a retractable roof facility (which has yet to ever ben open for a game) because summers in Texas can regularly reach 115F/46C during day games.
Phoenix (heat), Houston (heat/rain), Seattle (rain/cold), Milwaukee (cold/rain/snow), Toronto (cold/snow), and Miami (heat/rain) all also feature retractable roofs that can be opened when conditions are good.
We took my son and his friend there last year. The A/C in there is chef's kiss. We just got nachos, but even those were enormous.
Of course it has air conditioning
It's called the world title here with confidence because all the best talent in the world will come to the MLB... People can scoff at it all they want, but the same applies to basketball.
As an American it’s the dumbest most arrogant thing ever. The world has soccer leagues and none of them call themselves world champs. Yet they have MORE people from around the world on their team. To be a world champ it has to be countries not national teams. That’s why Tennis players can say world champs bc they’re representing a country. Stop making excuses for it. It’s dumb. I genuinely don’t care but acting like the reasoning has any valid basis is dumb. We can have pride but not pride that makes us look uneducated/arrogant. Aways much love tho! 🖤🖤

Super cool to see they went to a Rangers game! That's the new stadium, Globe Life Field, it opened in 2020. The old stadium, Globe Life Park, is an outdoor stadium. It was nice, but it gets hot in Texas during summers, so the new indoor stadium was built and is air conditioned.
The adhd is real this time lmao "ooooh loaded brisket nachos", *5sec later* "what is that is that meat on the nachos"
Every ballpark is gonna have different types of food. Of course a park in Texas will be bbq heavy. The classics tho are hotdogs (or bratwurst), nachos, and pretzels with a beercheese sauce. Pizza is pretty standard too. Peanuts or sunflower seeds for snacks. In my area garlic fries, tri-tip, and tacos are the regional things.
8:05 a triple play is when an infielder/outfielder gets three people out. If they catch a pop fly, and two people on base are running so they throw it to the basemen that has their foot on the base
You r so funny…. The look on your face in these videos is hilarious!!! Like a child on Christmas morning. I am thoroughly enjoying all your videos!!!! Please come to America!

The hotdog is supposed to be cut until like three or four pieces. Depends on how many people you got with you.
So you can't handle all that meat huh Lewis? 😂😂 That part had me dead
PETCO BALL PARK in San Diego,California they have restaurants and food places, inside and outside the park it's in the Gaslamp district which has 100's of places to pick from, fast food to high end dining 😅 Peace✌️ Gary😊
PETCO is a great park! Before the game there's stuff going on, on the lawn. During the game and after has great food and beer both in the and out of the park like you said. A lot of fun if you're on a date or with the whole crew!
Simple short cut explanation. In 1884 a weekly sports print coined the phrase "Champions of the World" in a news article about a team who won the game. And it stuck. And that's why it's still called the World Championship. Although other countries like Japan for example, are great fans of baseball and some even try out for the professional teams. So technically you could kinda say World in front of Championship 😁
what Josh called "parmesan" on the nachos was cotija cheese, a Mexican aged cows milk cheese. young cotija is akin to a mild feta while more aged cotija is more comparable to parmesan.
A triple play would be when you get 3 people out in one play. A grand slam is when the bases are loaded and the hitter hits a home run and everyone scores.
I know what you mean about mixing food. My favorite breakfast is two American biscuits, cut in half and open faced, with two breakfast sausage patties, two fried eggs over easy, and white pepper gravy (it's like regular gravy for biscuits and gravy, but made with white pepper instead of black pepper, and it runs a bit thinner for soaking into the biscuits.) I will chop and stir that whole mess of food into, essentially, a breakfast chowder. I don't know what everyone else calls it, but my family always called it "slop" or a "hog trough." There's something special about warm egg yolks mixed in white gravy that make dunking buttered toast, french fries, or fried chicken into it so damn good.
Never knew tourist was a attracted to baseball food😂
Not all ball parks offer the same food and drinks. Each one hires out space to the food franchises of their choice. Most offer hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, nachos but there's no guarantee what you get. Most stadiums offer pepsi drinks but some do offer coke.
Its funny they went to a Texas Rangers baseball game just for the food and didn't even watch the game 🤣

Triple play is when the team in the field gets three runners out in the same play. Double play is two runners out and one runner out is just an 'out'.
When batting, a 'triple' is a batter that makes it to 3rd base. A 'double is to 2nd and a 'single is to 1st base.

The music plays during stops in play...like between innings. Many players also have a favorite song and a snippet is played when they come up to bat.
In Globe Life Field has cup holders in front of each chair where you’re seated in the stadium. That’s where you would park your baseball bat beer. The Texas Rangers is my home team. Globe Life Field is only a few years old. It has a roof and a/c. So when you go to a game in the summer in Texas, it can be 104F outside, but it’s 75F inside. It’s fantastic!
Triple Play is a defensive term. It's one of the hardest things to pull off in sports. Think like hat trick in Football (soccer) but in Baseball its when the defense gets all 3 outs in one sequence/play.
3 goals is hard, but triple play everything has to align, nobody can be out, at least two on base, you get two people on base and the batter, or if the bases are loaded you can get three different bases.
