Dennis I just LOVED the Two Tree Ricochet Trick Shot. Work of ABSOLUTE GENIUS ! Couple of years back, on My Birthday, I managed to hit the EXACT same skinny birch tree THREE times on the same hole ! Once from a sweet lie in the middle of the fairway. Second from within the rough a few yards behind the poor innocent birch tree from where My ball rebounded from the abject fairway shot. Then, finally, I struck it again when aiming for a simple 7-Iron "pop it out". At this point, no drink had been taken. However, Birthday + Clubhouse + Mockery = Consolation
I don’t watch for the golf, it’s the entertainment!! I feel your pain, I shot a round like that a couple days ago, but my agony went on for 18 holes! Still great being out on the course! You shall return!
It's past the ladies tee box! Had me laughing. And the tracer on the trees. Lol Buddy that is some quality entertainment. With the wedges. When we start struggling, We have a tendency to get even slower and tentative, thinking we are being smother a more still. It causes us to decelerate through the shot. A good way to get out of that is to stop trying to land the ball on the fringe all the time. Take more loft. Accelerate through the shot. Hit the putting surface and always have a putt. Even if it's longer. Do that for a while, until your feel comes back. Maybe, Sometimes a rain out is welcome? As always, I appreciate your winning attitude. You have helped me have more fun with golf the last couple seasons.
Well, Branston got you in a right pickle ( I know, I'll get my coat etc) Great honest video that this unpredictable 22 handicap can more than relate to 😂
Great memories of branston haven’t played there for years. Looking forward to the full 18 👍🏻If it makes you feel better last time I was there my tee shot on the first was skied and landed on top of the green keepers shed 😂
Great video as always. Would love to see you do a lesson with Dan Grieve, would be great content and to see your confidence go up with the short game shots would be awesome!
Save your 56° for the bunkers. Use 8i, 9i or PW from around the green and fringes. Toe Down Chipping will save your game. Use least amount of loft possible.
remember that meme, where you topped driver and you somehow hit it twice? - add 15:19 to the montage. 🤣🤣💀 EDIT: That was actually a good quad in the end. 😅
Unlucky mucker, UK weather is a little changeable shall we say. Think you must be hooding your irons some how the last few videos the left shot seems to be a pretty regular one. Maybe worth a lesson to see if a cause can be found, loving your content though you seem to be in it for the long haul just keep plugging away.
Life of a high handicapper im afraid 😟. I’m the same, the other day I played very tactically on a par 4 because it was big trouble right and left of the green so I lay up on 2 shots to about 70 yards and put it into a bunker right in front of me 😢2 shots later I’m out .
Dennis.... You brought the 56 back.... All the way from Edmonton Alberta Canada imploring you to stop using that club. Unless you need air to get over a trap or something, keep it low! Those little chips from the fringe like on hole 6 are perfect bumps using an 8 iron. Checkout Golf Sidekicks channel for some tips on toe down chipping, it helped me big time, and I'm sure it will help you. I always enjoy your vid's and want you to lower that HC. Dropped mine from a 26 to 14.3 this season playing simple and smart. Good Luck & Keep Grinding!
Dennis my chipping is worse and ive developed a putting yip my handicap is 31 and I deserve it, I was single figure in my 40s ill never gat back to that level but you can, get a few lessons you have the ability and you hit the ball long
The next time you play hole 8, do an experiment and only use high irons. If you go 140 per shot, but down the middle you'll be on in 4 shots, 2 putt....boom. Bogey.
@@BogeyGolfUK I found control when I gave up holding back and trying to guide the shots. My coach used count 1-2 on the back swing and 1 down swing. I counted yours and it’s more like 1.2.3.4 -1 way longer. But anyway I’m not trying to be a keyboard golf coach 😂 just something I noticed.
Nice vid! Work on your alignment. Just check your chip on Hole 8, you did not pull it, the ball went exactly where you where aiming at. multiple other examples in the video!
Might want to go flatter lie angle on your wedges with the left miss. All the wedges are 2 degree flat Edit: except P wedge (46°) which is 1 degree flat

Keep them coming

Thanks! Will do!
Love the channel, would be cool to see a training series too (where we see you working on aspects of game). It’s cool to see a relatable golfer!

Thanks bro!
I love your passion and dedication mate! Come on down to the states and round of your choice in Arizona is on me!
I’d love that! US trip hopefully one day 🙌
Golf is so fun!!! Isn’t golf the definition of insanity!? If I could play on the range I’d be a pro!! Lmao
Haha exactly right
This was me yesterday, Dennis! Shot a very respectable 20 Stableford points … for 18!!! Also in the driving rain ☔️🤣🤣⛳️ Magnificently silly game!! 🤣
We love it 😂
My local when i visit the kids. Still not played it. Nice club. Great facilities
Yeah lovely club!
That escalated quickly 😅
I know right😂
That tree hit was funny...and lucky....lol. Could have ended up much further from the hole...lol.
Very true!
I know right!
On the plus side I thought you putted really well, no silly misses!
That’s true actually
Dennis, you need to learn the almighty art of the toe down chipping. It'll save you SO many strokes!
Watch this space for toe down chipping

15:30 needed that today 😂

Too right 😂
Nearly choked on my sandwich after that triple tree shot 😂😂😂
Apologies 🤣🤣🤣

I’m hoping to do an on course lesson type of video with my coach at some point 👍
Hey Dennis, have a look at Dan Grieve....for short game. Ya....you look tense...and you're hinging so much on those bad chips...lol.
Yeah the technique was horrendous in this video. Even to my eyes 😂

Usually Srixon soft feel

What ball are you playing Dennis?
A mix to be fair. Usually Srixon super soft or Titleist velocity
Those two balls are so different one is very firm and the other is very soft stick too a soft ball I would recommend Wilson Zip great ball great price
Oh God
Might want to go flatter lie angle on your wedges with the left miss. All the wedges are 2 degree flat
