    Prior to the pandemic this form was taught in Temple City, CA by Master Yan who came from Shanghai and has taught the complete Wu system for many, many years in the park every Saturday and Sunday morning. That is where I learned this form.

    If mayueliang is 100mark full. I can only give this one 20score I recommend to practice slow form for more time before this fast form (add some comments: saying she is 20 is not criticizing her, the fact is normal common people can only do less than 5, she is in great body condition and control already. But still way to the master level)

    very well done! But what is it for? There are several versions of same form from china, Europe on You tube, no one has the applications! Just health dancing.

    • @taichi1770
      @taichi1770  10 лет назад +10

      Sorry to say that Taichi is not about applications, it is about principle and body structure, without understanding both will render most applications useless, you may be able to use it, but it is no longer Taichi as you want it to be. If you build your taichi practice on applications, you may get yourself even further away from the essence of taichi. No form is the form, learn the form with the principle so it will become part of you, and hence your application.

    • @taichi1770
      @taichi1770  9 лет назад +3

      Very well said, structure and alignment of body before application or application before your body is ready for it. By training with the forms and pushing hands to get your body ready to understand and be able to execute the applications was what I was talking about.
      If one only cares about applications before one knows where one's weight is to me is just applications with ???? Most people are just application happy, besides, tai chi takes a long time and deligience to master. Martial arts is not just about application, self defense, and learn to fight, it is about doing it right for your body, then yoiur martial ability.

    • @humanbeing8341
      @humanbeing8341 6 лет назад +5

      You and zorba taichi are all completely wrong this is the ORIGINAL fighting form handed down from Yang ban Hou to Wu Quian yu to wu jian quan and Ma Yueh Liang amongst many other indoor students. You can literally see the fighting applications of Wu style in it , if you know the wu 13 hand methods and the 4 moving step methods. It is not a lovely dance but the real fighting method, that is why it still has fajin, whereas the slow form does not! This form has significantly different stepping and breathing patterns and is quite intricate. It completely revolves around combat, it is literally shadow boxing.

    • @humanbeing8341
      @humanbeing8341 6 лет назад +6

      That is just utter nonsense the essence of tiai chi is combat not new age hippy meditation nonsense crap.

    • @humanbeing8341
      @humanbeing8341 6 лет назад +6

      Form and function go hand in hand together like a hand in a glove fighting should be taught in order to understand the form correctly, not the the other way around, tai chi is originally a fighting art not a new age hippy love fest.

    i know of Wudang tai chi, its a very simular cause WU is its origins. look for dan docherty practical tai chi chuan

    • @humanbeing8341
      @humanbeing8341 6 лет назад +3

      Dan Docherty is a tai chi denier he states that this form was created by Ma Yueh Liang however in reality its roots come fro Yang Lu Chans son Yang Ban Ho the fast small frame Yang, it can be seen practiced in the 1930's by a wu practitioner in boots on RUclips, long before Ma Yueh Liang teaching time and when it was first exposed by him to the world in 1981 at a wushu tournament ,by this very lady She Mi Li. his adopted daughter. People from deep inside the Wu Tai Chi Association of Shanghai have long known this form from Wu Quan Yu and his father, contrary to the ignorant claims of Dan Docherty who says(sic) I have spoken to people all over the world and no one knows of this form except Ma Yueh liang which is patently untrue, Dan Docherty's master taught in a Park in Hong Kong and his Master was ostracized by the Wu brothers in Hong Kong who were Wu Quan Yu;s sons, and they taught very different tai chi to the mainstream Shanghai style also.so may not have taught the fast form, but they would have known it, but would not have taught it to Dan Docherties masters master. The source of his denial and ignorance.There is no such real tai chi lineage as Wudang tai chi and it is not derived from wu, wudang taichi is a generic term given to forms of taichi people create I have scene dozens of so called wudang tai chis all different and bearing no relation, after the communist cultural revolution when tai ch became popular again, men moved back to wudang mountain and created stories of secret styles called wudang taichi, these self appointed masters where trying to cash in on the tourist trade, at the Wudang Mountains.
