Aww! 😊 Just between you and me and anyone else that happens to read this comment, I’m trying to put two out this week! Instead of my regular one video per week!
Hi Ms. Maddie. Hope all is well. I love the way you share your hiking experiences. You are honest, realistic, positive, genuine, and fun. I look forward to your next video. If there is anything that we can do to help grow your Chanel, please let us know. Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts.
Hey Pops Pops! I really appreciate your comments! All the ways you described me is how people I know have described me over the years, so that’s really great to know my true personality is coming through in these videos! If you’d like to help me grow my channel, getting the word out to people that might enjoy it would probably be the best way to do that! Sharing through Facebook, email, word of mouth, anything would really help!! Thank you so much for being so supportive!!!
Hi Maddie! I gotta say it was funny you sharing the deep mud you were stuck in. On top of that you had me laughing with “ reward myself like a dog”. Lol...btw, 20-25 miles is no joke. Those are pretty serious miles and good job. I have seen AT hikers covering 15- to 20 miles on average and they seem to be proud of those daily miles. You did great. Your filming and storytelling is very interesting. Keep going and thanks for sharing.
That’s so good to know about AT hikers. I did this hike to see if I really wanted to commit to actually doing an AT thru hike someday. At the end of the trail, I thought, “I never ever want to put on the same dirty clothes every single day EVER again” but now I miss being on trail! So hopefully the AT will become a reality for me in the next couple years!
Magnificent video my friend! I just returned from the SHT. I ended up doing 3 separate overnights along the SHT with a friend from RUclips! This series is really great! I'm just finished my video so this was awesome timing!
Minnesota has a wide variety of biomes. We have plains, oak savanna, pine forests and different animals in plants in each area. I hope you can get down south to see the sweeping plains! Where you are is a little more like Canada for sure. Hope you continue to enjoy your adventure!
I actually have looked into being a trail guide, just haven’t ever got the timing right so far!! And I want to write a book someday too! You know me well!
Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed the videos, it was such a big experience for me. If it works out and you think it’s right for you, I hope you get to experience it too! Except maybe you can go in the fall when all the mosquitos are dead!!
Hahaha I tried to make it sound pretty but couldn’t! If I was editing this now I probably would have spilt the audio and video, and kept the audio the same speed but on a subtle loop. But I didn’t know I could do that at the time!
Good morning, Maddie. Your videos are very cool and authentic. Beautiful views and professional film editing. I am happy to listen to your comments. Are your solo trips very safe? A four-leaf clover is fortunate enough. Greetings from Poland. Krzysztof
Thanks so much, I’m really glad you like my style! About safety, I think solo travel is slightly riskier than traveling in a group, but if I waited for people to come with me, I would be waiting forever! That’s really cool that you’re from Poland, my grandparents were born there before they immigrated to the US!
Dzien dobry Maddie.I think you will soon find a nice companion for traveling together. It will be safer for two. I am waiting for the next videos from your travels. Pozdrawiam. 👍 🔔 Krzysztof.
Well mz lil maddie pilgrim ..sounds like ya gotta injured planter under foot .. do the ballerina thing ..curve the foot doon .. nice and slow see ..lil massagie ..push it as far as ya kinn before gettin a cramp .. nice and slow see ..pip pips 😍😎😁pilgrim
I just wiped off as much as I could with sticks and leaves, and then the rest dried and flaked off eventually! It was a lot though, those shoes still stink!
I'm doing the Superior hiking trail in September. I'm curious as to where I'm going to stop to recharge my battery bank. I don't care about staying in a motel necessarily...just charging. Where all did you accomplish this?
Hmmm hard to remember. I think I found an outlet at my campsite at the first state park I stayed at, then used a motel, then plugged it in while I was at a restaurant in grand marais, and finally a ranger let me use an outlet in their office at the brulee river. Hope that helps!
20 is good miles im enjoying
Thank ya!!
Brushing my teeth and realized I was just boopin along to the song. Good choice.
So much mud!
I was the Supt at Pictured Rocks from 2001-2005. Wonderful place, but the flies and the mosquitos!!
Omg these views bring back do much memories.... We need MORE videos!!!!!

There’s a real good word for that smell of wet earth after rain: petrichor!
I’ve heard of that!
The mud might keep the mosquitos off.
I filmed this earlier this summer, but if I remember right, the bugs didn’t bother me as much that day!
You should wear two socks, it helps alot & prevents blisters.
You might have to go up half a shoe size, tho'.
Interesting! I’ve never heard of that before!

Oh cool! That sounds lovely. I will definitely have to try and explore other areas too!
Since you love hiking trails so much, you should work as a trail guide. You should write a book about hiking different places.
I actually have looked into being a trail guide, just haven’t ever got the timing right so far!! And I want to write a book someday too! You know me well!
Really enjoying your videos- your making me dream of doing this myself one day. And the dude peeing story is HILARIOUS!!

That industrial metal waterfall around 21:32 was epic.

00:02:40 tettegouche state park! I loved that exact spot! :) I hope the experience has improved as you have hiked north!
Nice!!! The experience as a whole was epic and memorable. I kept battling bugs and weather even up north, but it was definitely very scenic at times!!
Hi nice where is the hike at I like to fish
Hi, this is the superior hiking trail, in Minnesota!
Very nice
Thank you for the support!!
Which campsite was that with the picnic table?
How the heck do you get rid of the mud?
I just wiped off as much as I could with sticks and leaves, and then the rest dried and flaked off eventually! It was a lot though, those shoes still stink!

@@BeerinBeautifulPlaces sure does. I'm probably just overthinking it and being a worry wart. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Your cool and sweet
Thank you!!
So darn funny, day might stink I belive your wet feet really stink😜
Oh it was the worst! The shoes still stink after a wash and a few months of not wearing!
