      Hey Pops Pops! I really appreciate your comments! All the ways you described me is how people I know have described me over the years, so that’s really great to know my true personality is coming through in these videos!
      If you’d like to help me grow my channel, getting the word out to people that might enjoy it would probably be the best way to do that! Sharing through Facebook, email, word of mouth, anything would really help!! Thank you so much for being so supportive!!!

    You should wear two socks, it helps alot & prevents blisters.
    You might have to go up half a shoe size, tho'.

    Hi Maddie! I gotta say it was funny you sharing the deep mud you were stuck in. On top of that you had me laughing with “ reward myself like a dog”. Lol...btw, 20-25 miles is no joke. Those are pretty serious miles and good job. I have seen AT hikers covering 15- to 20 miles on average and they seem to be proud of those daily miles. You did great. Your filming and storytelling is very interesting. Keep going and thanks for sharing.

      That’s so good to know about AT hikers. I did this hike to see if I really wanted to commit to actually doing an AT thru hike someday. At the end of the trail, I thought, “I never ever want to put on the same dirty clothes every single day EVER again” but now I miss being on trail! So hopefully the AT will become a reality for me in the next couple years!

    Magnificent video my friend! I just returned from the SHT. I ended up doing 3 separate overnights along the SHT with a friend from RUclips! This series is really great! I'm just finished my video so this was awesome timing!

    Minnesota has a wide variety of biomes. We have plains, oak savanna, pine forests and different animals in plants in each area. I hope you can get down south to see the sweeping plains! Where you are is a little more like Canada for sure. Hope you continue to enjoy your adventure!

    Since you love hiking trails so much, you should work as a trail guide. You should write a book about hiking different places.

      Hahaha I tried to make it sound pretty but couldn’t! If I was editing this now I probably would have spilt the audio and video, and kept the audio the same speed but on a subtle loop. But I didn’t know I could do that at the time!

    Good morning, Maddie. Your videos are very cool and authentic. Beautiful views and professional film editing. I am happy to listen to your comments. Are your solo trips very safe? A four-leaf clover is fortunate enough. Greetings from Poland. Krzysztof

      Thanks so much, I’m really glad you like my style!
      About safety, I think solo travel is slightly riskier than traveling in a group, but if I waited for people to come with me, I would be waiting forever!
      That’s really cool that you’re from Poland, my grandparents were born there before they immigrated to the US!

      I just wiped off as much as I could with sticks and leaves, and then the rest dried and flaked off eventually! It was a lot though, those shoes still stink!

    I'm doing the Superior hiking trail in September. I'm curious as to where I'm going to stop to recharge my battery bank. I don't care about staying in a motel necessarily...just charging. Where all did you accomplish this?

    • @BeerinBeautifulPlaces
      @BeerinBeautifulPlaces  3 года назад +1

      Hmmm hard to remember. I think I found an outlet at my campsite at the first state park I stayed at, then used a motel, then plugged it in while I was at a restaurant in grand marais, and finally a ranger let me use an outlet in their office at the brulee river. Hope that helps!
