Épicure | Michelin Three Stars | $450 10-Course Tasting Menu

- Epicure is a three-starred Michelin restaurant situated in Le Bristol Paris and is considered one of the best restaurants in Paris.
Nicolas Sarkozy often visited this restaurant and counted Epicure among his favorite haunts.
Chef Éric Fréchon is the man behind the scene and he has produced many masterpieces. One is stuffed Marconi with black truffle, another being the famous bladder chicken - chicken stuffed with truffle, then pouched in a beef bladder for four hours.
During my visit I was presented with the 20-year anniversary tasting menu, gathering the finest signature dishes that marked these twenty years.

Thanks for this video
Hi ..just want to know that how many chefs are watching this video..comment below 👇 😍
The servers were initially very discreet but as they realized you wanted to know more about the dishes they explained them enthusiastically! Great video!
Excelente
I love how natural your reaction is. The food looks great and very appetizing.

Lovely
Thank you so much keep up the good work this is exactly what I had been searching for for months, to eat such fine food and so I can imagine/dream about what gourmet food is or tastes like.
I went here in late April, same menu as you. The signature macaroni and chicken is to die for
It looks sublime!
Thanks I enjoyed!!
This is awesome man! Def living a dream life! I love good food!

THIS IS COOL. THANKS FOR SHARING
Every thing looks beautiful and yummy😊👍
Watched so many times but still not enough want to see more thanks
lime scooter was the real highlight.
Cool, but my advise, your letters of description of the plate, are very small I would that you would describe the flavors
Lovely presentation
非常感谢分享哦,还有中文字幕。非常感谢

Soft chewy
Good video man.
i can see your satisfaction in every menu ;3
Great shots - just enough explanation and comment.
Slow question..
Love how there's no talking or explaining. Just eating
You know he's a foodie when he spends more of his time eating than talking.
enjoying your vids...it's obvious when you're enjoying the food...perhaps you could give a few word description of what you're experiencing?
Nyc decorated
Nyc and simple

Maybe one day I eat in this restaurant . Look Amazing .
Look good
I love your facial expressions 😂😃
Everything looks so good! Now that's perfection on a plate. Working hard so that I eat there in the future!
Pick another Michelin 3-star if you have to work hard to get there. I am so disappointed when I went. There are better 3-stars in France. I've even been to 2-stars that I was much happier with.
I'm afraid you never will !
@@bonitomusolini3291 Wow, I can't believe I have the honor of talking to a Benito impersonator. Thank you so much for your encouraging words... But I'm already eating in such places, keyboard warrior, so I believe your words reflect more on your own situation. So "Good luck" in your future endeavours
I wish I could look as gracious as you do while eating lol
The servers were a class act. And that stuffed macaroni...wow!
I love your channel
I tried to eat there but was asked to leave after I had eaten a salt shaker by mistake;
Man it expressions are sooo funny! Lol
Amazing how a tire company has motivated the food industry.
Controlled.
Expanding your asset with franchising is always the best move in any industry, also with some good friends in mass media.

i actually eat tires for breakfast
You will never understand, not refined and ignorant. It is not about the food industry but about gastronomy. The first Michelin guide was published in 1905 it does not date from yesterday. At the time it gave advices to the travelers on the restaurants, Since then he has given stars to locate the degree of interest. But that escapes the eaters of Mc donalds.
WHERE'S THE MOTHER OF PEARL SPOON? T-T
It tastes good because they use a stick of butter at minimum per plate
I like that
🤤 why must i watch videos of food i'll never be able to afford.....

@@bonitomusolini3291 Iam French from Paris , relax man its not that good, and im sure there is a lot of really good food in Mexico...
@@hydrice1052 Evidemment que c'est de la grande cuisine et que c'est délicieux, mais de la à dire que la cuisine mexicaine c'est limite de la merde a côté, c'est abusé.
Strange little bird
I could watch this guy eat all day. Hooked.
I like how they tell you what you shouldn't eat like the cocoa bean shell. I'm sure they had some diners take a bite at it.

The parts where the food is so good it looks like you are struggling to talk but can't are funny.
Look goodwill try to go there .better than giving very small dish for 15 different.
Thank you for posting this vídeo, that was a real ecpirience, any other that can said about?
Smile when you look at the camera.
I can eat every single dish in one bite.

I have to say that I have been watching several videos on three stars michelin restaurants and this is the only one that makes me hungry
I have been to a number of 3-stars in different countries, and the food here was by far the most disappointing, in terms of the food. And I am partial to French cuisine, living in the country for part of the year.
@Nick Mihopoulos Despite their menu being rather uninspired, I wanted to take my sister to her first Michelin 3-star when she visited me in France and happened to select this restaurant. Years later, I can't even recall any standout dishes (if you go to restaurants like Paul Bocuse's or Maison Pic, there will certainly be dishes that make a lasting impression). Apart from those that were less pleasant, that is...
I had ordered a crab dish and found that there were bits of crab cartilage that had somehow gotten onto my plate. Being a teacher, I politely brought this to the attention of our server, suggesting that their kitchen pay attention to an important detail like that in the future. As I did not want to finish the dish, he took it into the kitchen to show the staff there, after apologizing, of course. To make it up to me, the server kindly offered me what he informed me was a signature dish with squid ink. This was unpalatable and I also could not get through it, as it had an unpleasant mushy texture and did not taste of much. We had many courses of a dégustation menu and the rest of the meal was fine, competent, if not exciting.
As we had consumed a fair bit of food, we turned down the server's offer of dessert, but he insisted that we at least have something sweet, boasting of the superb macarons that the restaurant makes. And there, he went a bit too far. My sister and I happen to enjoy macarons and after a number of trips to Paris, knew of all the best places to have them. I will simply state that Épicure is not a place that makes an even half-decent macaron. We regretted agreeing to even a single macaron each and it was a disappointing way to terminate a meal.
Now, I am not someone who has extreme opinions, and I am sure that plenty of people would enjoy a meal at this restaurant. But such a meal comes at a significant price, and in my opinion, your hard-earned money is better spent elsewhere. There are plenty of more modest restaurants in Paris that are affordable and delicious. If you are going to splurge, I would suggest doing so elsewhere (preferably in another French city) and do your research, especially if you don't have money to burn and actually have a refined palate. (I actually don't consider myself to have one, next to my husband who can taste absolutely everything in a dish and is about as severe as the critic in the film Ratatouille - thank goodness he did not join us for dinner...not that he would have wanted to, after looking at just the menu.)
Finally, although I love fine-dining and all the discoveries that attend the experience, I dislike encounters with very pretencious staff or clients. When I arrived at the Bristol neatly dressed in my perfectly fitted designer jeans (I also dislike skirts and was travelling), the doorman enquired where we were going and suggested that my jeans might not be appropriate for the restaurant. He was incorrect, as I expected, and the staff at Épicure were, fortunately, more pleasant with their paying customers.
Just my own experience, which took place a few years ago. By all means try it for yourself, but please don't eat macarons there!
Love the presentation and the food, just have a hard time with eating noises. Always had, even as a kid.
Genetic, see 23 & me
"Where dah kat!?"
You're so classy. Shows you know a lot about table etiquette. Well done!
@@JudgeDredd888 He has no table etiquette nor is he "classy". I am pretty sure you are talking about how a gentleman should act in a restaurant. Well, no gentleman would go with a haircut like this to a restaurant. Imagine if you had a partner and went to a restaurant with her like this. It would actually be disrespectful. Not that I believe in all this "table etiquette" and "classy" shit but still, this ain't it.
Gayness at its finest
I'm also not sure what he's doing that is especially great etiquette, for example the book and camera on the table seems sloppy, and the bags should be stored elsewhere, it's clutter. I also didn't hear too many thank you's and I prefer a bit more banter and fun with the staff.
That said, as somebody who does go to Michelin starred restaurants, there's no dress code in most of them. I often am quite scruffy as it's how I feel most comfortable, whilst my wife likes to dress up. You don't need a suit because if you're spending $500 a head to eat, you don't need to impress nobody with what you wear.
I am also quite honest with my feedback. Twice I've given feedback along the lines of "I was a bit disappointed with", or "I wasn't sure what x bought to the plate". On both occasions a new dish was presented without any fuss, not because I asked or even expected, but because these guys expect you to love every bite.
Be polite and respectful, tip if you can and you're impressed, and otherwise enjoy the evening.
Vista Pri, please don't copy his table etiquette. It's actually quite bad. He doesn't hold or use his utensils properly, stuffs his mouth with large amounts of food, bites pieces off chunks of food held up on his fork, takes out his cell phone at the table, etc, etc.
@@R1kSen you are just jealous because you can’t afford what he can.he has experienced tha food there , went there with full confidence, didn’t care about their fancy shit and made video in front of everybody, bravo. He let the cheap things like you to watch his video and feel jealous and make bad comments.so I hope now you know who you are you frog.
The person who is eating does not know how to use the fish cutlery
I wish I could eat so much at once...
I really miss eating here and I did an episode on it too at a different date. Definitely an incredible experience.
Information about the dish you’re eating is too small and hard to read. It is also extremely hard to hear the explanation of the waiters or your opinion on the dish.
Most of the sequences containing the speaking was filmed using a Sony RX100 which has no external microphone jack so the internal audio quality in that environment setting is abysmal. The waiters’ accent further exacerbated the difficulties in understanding the conversation. However, I have manually added English captions that you can turn on to help you understand.
It took me quite some effort to figure out what he was saying by playing through the conversation with monitor headset on multiple times.
it looks like amazing super number one. you should tip 100%. fucken right, eat it man.
Love this video. Come checkout "De Librije" when you're in the Netherlands. It's one of the best in our country.
What is the brand of glasses you wearing???
RIP corona
450$ for 500 grams of food
The face says it all
Yes if i had a course like that after i will be going to McDonald! 3 maccaroni in a plate Wtf
believe me you'd be satisfied and really, it's mainly about the experience and the expertise to make the dishes not the quantity
Where is the food?
So cleaning
lucky to get a spot? it was empty !
I feel as though I have just had a tour of an "exquisite food" art gallery--each tantalizing menu item a wonderful canvas framed by the dinnerware. May I also add what a treat to see
a restaurant that actually uses silverware in this day and age. It takes dining to another level. Bravo to the waitstaff who, in my opinion, were attentive and knowledgeable.
What an amazing experience.
Bon Appetit!

" you have to reserve 3 months in advance " . I just saw 3 empty tables in the beggining of the video . I don t understand
3 months in advance for Dinner ...

Listening pays off sometimes
I wonder what if someone can't eat this much, does these courses come with quantity options or you just take how much you want?
The sizes are adapted to the amount of courses in the menu

@matthew scoles maybe he need just to improve his knowledge about the connection between food and wine. For a real experience.
@matthew scoles i know that lol but, man, he payed 450 for the menu, 100 more is nothing at that point hehe
@matthew scoles ok lol but that's is he personal problem! he got half experience that's the point.
Thanks for sharing your lunch. This is about as far as I can get to a 3 star experience lol. How about a local bistro for a comparison?
nice video!! fufski are you using sony rx100 series for your torso shot and sony a7 mk3 for dishes?
Yes
Yummy. Gonna drop by. #sonofTheLivingGod
How much cost all this please? I am thinking to visiting after what I see.
No wine ?! ... french cuisine without wine doesn't exist
Not everybody likes alcohol
@@davidmartineztorres8731 pardon??
Idk if it's because he's Asian, but in many Asian countries they can't handle alcohol very well. In China by example, a half pinte of beer can get many of them drunk and turn their skin red. I'm not joking
@@simodc870 we all know the ultimate drink is water.

Ballin' with a Burger King budget.... One time high class
Michelin really values their brand. I'm watching about restaurants that have Michelin stars, they are really amazing. And to think that it is the way to sell tires they're making a fantastic customer service.
