Sooo my question is about the collection... what does *"Everything you own for TSW2"* mean? When we went from TSW1/2020 to TSW2 the Licences from TSW1/2020 transfered over into TSW2. Do the *THOSE DLCs* fall under the above mentioned *"everything for TSW2"* category?
It's time to make route mergers happen. Both for the two Dresden routes and for the Würzburg route and the Main-Spessart route from TSW2020 and for connecting DLCs in the future of course.
Although the new routes and eye candy look promising, DTG seems to always fall short when it comes to the simulation aspect of the game (broken signalling, buggy safety systems....). I hope they pay attention to the details of making a good sim as much as they do to making good eye candy for this next release of TSW. Also, I would like to be optimistic with their new approach to training, but past experiences make that hard - various unexplained or incorrectly explained DPU/MU settings on US freight routes being one example.
...but after i have seen the launch trailer which looks like kinda GTA on train Tracks. I have no hopes that will ever happen. I suspect they are aiming at a completely different audience of players with a lot of willing to pay.
I agree with this 100%- I have exactly the same concerns. For me, I’m staying away from the initial release until I get a feel for how solid TSW 3 looks after launch. If the quality is not there, I’ll be waiting until it is.
Maybe rebrand it as 'Train Route World" as the 'Sim' part does not seem to be the priority. I imagine there is more money to be made from developing and selling routes than from improving the simulation aspects of the product.
I don't think that this update is worth charging $30 for (what I assume) is the same game with some new features. I'm pretty sure the game's running on the same engine, so I don't see why you couldn't, outside of reasons for more profit, either (1. Integrate these upcoming features into TSW2 and have the three routes as a separate bundle, similar to how Train Simulator Classic has been run. (2. Release TSW3 but allow those of us who already own TSW2 to upgrade for no extra cost (minus the routes, see bundle idea in 1.) We shouldn't have to pay this much money each time for a game that could stop receiving updates in a year or two after being replaced by another iteration. I hope you follow the feedback of myself and others in the community and reconsider how you release this new update/game. Thank you.

The light simulation needed an update for years now, glad to finally see that. What is visible in the gameplay snippets looks good so far. Still, there are so much more obvious flaws in TSW 2 that need to be fixed, I hope we will see more of that in the future videos. From my experience with DTG they insist on carrying on easily fixable flaws that exist since Kuju Rail Simulator while spending time on making a high end rain simulation, but I keep my bad words back until we see them beeing in the actual game.
I've been an avid Rail Simulator fan from the release of the first game, and to be honest. This is a bit of a let down. With 'Dynamic Weather', why not have real world weather data? It's not that hard to pull real life data from weather sources, you could have it so the weather actually changes as to per the actual real life conditions. If there is a downpour in Faversham, why not simulate that in the game? Extreme snow in Reading? How about things like Random TSR's, track defects, workers? You've already shown what you can do with the detail on some of the routes, so why not go that little bit further. You want to sell the game to people playing RailWorks, make them move over. I'm not sure if I will purchase this or not, I'd love to see more detail put in to make it actually feel like a 'Simulation' and not an arcade game.
I dunno. I understand real weather data for flight sims for example because you generally travel large distances and can be in flight for hours. In a rail sim where you travel either relatively short distances or short times I don't think it's worth putting development time into personally.
do you not understand what an update is? was it truly necessary to create an entire new game to add these features? this has truly soured my impression of DTG. good day.
1.1K dislikes vs 955 likes; looks like this ain't gonna pan very well for this new game. Are the train whales able to keep afloat this game, all by themselves? Curious to see what happens to all the TSW2 routes at this point
@@C20F Not me for sure; I gave already a ton to DTG and every time it was the same music. Ain't gonna buy another ticket for the same song with slightly different instruments anymore I am afraid.
I know is a small country but I would love to see Romania in the future games or maybe DLC's because is a really beautiful country with some interesting trains.. we got the Electric Locomotive 060EA and the wagon AVA 200 and we got many more trains..
Still hungry for more money by selling the same game with very few differences are we? And how many DLCs will you make that cost nearly the price of the game each?
I would like you to add also various emergency situations, such as a person on rails, a car stuck at a crossing, and in principle would bring the game closer to reality :)
While it would be fun, It is not a common thing to deal with. If the odds were low but still possible if would be much more realistic and enjoyable, and would simulate well the constant state of tension knowing that a car could cut in front of you at any time. It could also be a bit morbid for the everyone audience. I think a better idea would be mechanical failures, such as having a ground relay trip while climbing a steep grade then what do you do?
Finally we got a BNSF Route again with dovetail, so I'm waiting for a Pacific Surfliner Route since that was one of the most Requested routes for the trainsim community
i stopped being salty, with all dlc being carried over its 3 new routes and a weather update for 45€ thats alright (plus the free updates for the routes I already own)
That one was honestly big difference for those that have wanted to drive the BNSF trains in forever besides driving the CSX, and Union Pacific! Yes Norfolk was brand new and that one is still good though! But this though… this is perfect! 85 miles on the Cajon California routine
The Wurzberg high speed line is such a nice addition but I must admit I really wished it was created for Train Simulator Classic rather then TSW. TS Classic has been needing a proper ICE high speed line for awhile so it’s a shame that void won’t be filled, especially when TS classic has so much good ICE rolling stock. The TSW ICE 1 looks great but the real test will be if it can live up too the ICE 1 produced by 3DZug for TS classic. If not then that will be a major disappointment. Fingers crossed. Good DLC ideas would be ICE 4 or Class 407 “New” ICE 3.
I hope DTG put as much thought into the stations as they do with the Dynamic weather. The stations should be as detailed as the trains and the volumetric sky. St. Pancras International is one of the many grand stations in the world and our view of it and exploration in TSW2 was limited to the Javelin platform's only which was hugely dissapointing. So please DTG more detailed stations and give us the ability to walk around them. I'm hoping in the next few weeks that there will be good news in this regard come TSW3 release.
Signalling is definitely something everyone is looking for in Train Simulators and I hope the system is reworked so we see more accurate signalling, more working lights not only in our route, but on AI’s routes as well.
I already love this. I wish that there is the feature to get an Timetable like on the ice 1 the Ebula where you see where you have to drive this and this or where you have to stop.
I’m so excited to see this coming out. The route I really want to play and see is the south western railway route for London Waterloo to Portsmouth. The train that needs adding is that we need more trains on the souther and Gatwick airport route to Brighton. I want to see the class 455 and 442 and I know they have both retired but it will be a wonderful experience.
Very excited for the BNSF route and I can’t wait to see more. I really hope the sounds of the locomotives is better as current USA locos sound like garbage. Excited for the lighting changes, improvements to nighttime, and the dynamic weather. Not interested in Germany at all, and really dislike SEHS. A new UK route would have been nicer, something like WCML. We can always hope for the future
I noticed the numbering on the BNSF SD40-2s are wrong. They are all numbered from 1576-1999 ever since 2012-ish. The ES44C4s are numbered from 3250-3281, 4200-4299, 5533-5546, 6500-7199, and 7921-8399 I am glad BNSF content is coming to the Train Sim World series, and hopefully Canadian Pacific (Canadian Rockies) and Kansas City Southern (Meridian-Shreveport Speedway) come soon.
This is getting a lot of hate on twitter, but I for one am really excited after watching this video. Would love to see extensions on the og lines from tsw in the future, think southeastern extended has paved the way for that 😉 😁 really excited to see the dynamic weather In action too should be really fun 😁
key feature dynamic weather 🤣 yes dovetails that’s we all been waiting on so we can drive a cloud or couple up to a string of raindrops. scenarios editing is what we wanna know what’s going on with that smh it’s about the trains first environment second then sky 😂 once again they didn’t do Anything to scenario editor that’s where the money at dude you get more play time with freedom of creativity why y’all don’t get that by now how come you think most of your fan base is still stuck in TS20XX like duh because we can make real rail operations and consist and tons of variety of loco and rolling stock at our leisure definitely y’all could have waited to release this and until fully made game a whole stop giving us these baby updates until then I will catch y’all on the ts20xx side of the fence I’m working on my Atlanta to Macon route which the community is going love it when I reveal the new progress
A big problem I have with the Train Sim World games is the audio of the horns. I hope they put some extra time and effort into getting the horns to have realistic echo and realistic distance.
In train sim world's announcement video you promised multi player coop a feature you have yet to deliver. I preordered sim world 1 under the false pretense that you would actually deliver this feature. IT IS STILL NOT THERE GENTLEMEN I AM STILL ANGRY.
The only way I would buy this will be if you can include Real World events like, People on track, random breakdowns, emergency pull cords, signal failure etc kits what lacking in all versions!
It looks nice actually. I wish we didn't have to get a while new game but I suppose it is what it is, probably won't be able to get it on launch but hopefully shortly after. And also I've been asking this for quite awhile. Can we get an Australian Route on TSW3. I would ask on the forums but it won't let me sign up, Age or something...
Any chance we will be able to adjust a slider on the day/night cycle to speed up time in TSW3? That would be really cool to see the day turn into night more quickly, or sunrise.
Dam the third game is coming out and I’m hyped but there is one thing I think that should be in this game and that would be build mode idk if it would be easy to implement but I do think it would really sell this game and maybe in train sim 4 we could see this as an option either way I’m still going to buy the game Another thing I think everyone would love is if trains had the ability to break a couple and this would happen if you give to much throttle at once stretching out the couple and having it break but it should be a option in the menu as some people would not like this option but it is open for anyone who would like to add to the challenge and also fighting the weather
Wondering if any of train sim world 2 content will transfer over like train sim 20xx. Being I'm sure alot of folks are like me and spent a good amount on routes, add on and customized skins.
Found this out: You can take all your content that you own in TSW2 over to TSW3 for free. If you wanted to buy the "Spirit of Steam" DLC for TSW2 for 30€ anyway, you can now buy the "Spirit of Steam Starter Pack" for TSW3 for 36€. So you get your 30€ DLC + an Engine Update for 6€. With this in mind it doesn't sound that bad anymore.
I hope that the problem of fluidity will be repaired because even on the video we see that it "jerks" still a lot and that it is not fluid. If you manage to make the game smooth without jerks I would be very happy to buy this new chapter of the TSW franchise.

In a rail sim where you travel either relatively short distances or short times I don't think it's worth putting development time into personally.
do you not understand what an update is? was it truly necessary to create an entire new game to add these features? this has truly soured my impression of DTG. good day.
Unreal engine update?
@@Scottish_Transport_Explorer I didn't hear them say that they've switched to unreal engine 5 for train sim World 3
very interested to check out the Cajon Pass route. that was my primary route when I worked for the Union Pacific.
Wow. Was it fun driving the train.
@@spongebobsquarepants11 Yes it was!
I’m so ready for this I hope you can build a route or a railline
@@mikej9909 That would be nice! looking forward to seeing the graphics
1.1K dislikes vs 955 likes; looks like this ain't gonna pan very well for this new game.
Are the train whales able to keep afloat this game, all by themselves? Curious to see what happens to all the TSW2 routes at this point
1k likes vs 1.3k dislikes now lol
@@C20F Not me for sure; I gave already a ton to DTG and every time it was the same music. Ain't gonna buy another ticket for the same song with slightly different instruments anymore I am afraid.
I WONT BE PURCHASING THIS 👎👎👎👎
PLEASE FIX UP TRAIN SIM WORLD 2 OR REFUND US.
They always "want to" but end up abandoning
So, does this mean TSW2 gets abandoned now as was TSW1?
This is cool, but €44.99 is too much for me! Still waiting for an italian route.
Now we need more Scottish routes be great with all the weather
I would like you to add also various emergency situations, such as a person on rails, a car stuck at a crossing, and in principle would bring the game closer to reality :)
While it would be fun, It is not a common thing to deal with. If the odds were low but still possible if would be much more realistic and enjoyable, and would simulate well the constant state of tension knowing that a car could cut in front of you at any time. It could also be a bit morbid for the everyone audience. I think a better idea would be mechanical failures, such as having a ground relay trip while climbing a steep grade then what do you do?
It wont happen because its pandered towards casual or console players who only care abouut graphics not systems or interactivity
Still waiting for the Amtrak GE Genesis to be in the game
We got BNSF let’s go!
Let alone an ES44C4
@@metronorthrailfan2244 I remember playing Microsoft train simulator and driving BNSF trains but I don’t think dovetail owns that game
Are we able to get more Canadian routes into this game? Like VIA Rail or more CN, or CPR. And also some more steam?
Finally we got a BNSF Route again with dovetail, so I'm waiting for a Pacific Surfliner Route since that was one of the most Requested routes for the trainsim community
I Can't Wait To Explore The Train Sim World Training Center
How does he remember all that stuff. He's like an encyclopedia. No cue-cards, no teleprompter, no aids at all. Simply amazing. Can't wait for TSW3!!!!
i stopped being salty, with all dlc being carried over its 3 new routes and a weather update for 45€ thats alright (plus the free updates for the routes I already own)
Good to see Matt again. I remember him and his dad running train sim demo’s at model shows. Did a few myself.
I like the training centre idea.
Oh dear....
Releases on Sept 6th and there are missing features not yet implemented already......sound familiar?
Remember when they announced CSX Heavy Haul for TSW1 on console and then said "No, gotta buy TSW2 for that"?
I’m excited to drive the BNSF Trains for the 1st Time when TSW 3 Comes out
I’m definitely excited for the ES44C4. It is a unique GEVO
That one was honestly big difference for those that have wanted to drive the BNSF trains in forever besides driving the CSX, and Union Pacific! Yes Norfolk was brand new and that one is still good though! But this though… this is perfect! 85 miles on the Cajon California routine
We need better American rail yard simulation in the game.
I'm going to try to use my Vipril Flight Sim controllers with this TSW3 and hope that they have something built in.
@@C20F UGH, aviation Throttles should at least be supported, giving us immersion
This and speed limits that change every 5meters without warning...
@@C20F you mean "can't" do it?
Let me know if they fixed all of this.
Nice presentation, love the attention to detail. looking forward to getting my hands on this!
we need the metropolitan or the district line in train sim world 3. You guys would make alot of money off those routes.
I already love this. I wish that there is the feature to get an Timetable like on the ice 1 the Ebula where you see where you have to drive this and this or where you have to stop.
They should have really added the mta NY subway.
It would be nice to be able to manage and run our own corridor & fleet. Collect fares and all 😀👍
I’m so excited to see this coming out. The route I really want to play and see is the south western railway route for London Waterloo to Portsmouth. The train that needs adding is that we need more trains on the souther and Gatwick airport route to Brighton. I want to see the class 455 and 442 and I know they have both retired but it will be a wonderful experience.
From the q and a it looks like my progress from tsw 2 will not transfer over. Seriously?? You couldn’t figure this out after tsw to tsw2?
Very excited for the BNSF route and I can’t wait to see more. I really hope the sounds of the locomotives is better as current USA locos sound like garbage. Excited for the lighting changes, improvements to nighttime, and the dynamic weather. Not interested in Germany at all, and really dislike SEHS. A new UK route would have been nicer, something like WCML. We can always hope for the future
Soo happy this is coming out on my birthday!!!!!
Hey look, the wait is over. We wanted a big boy in Train Sim World. Now we get one, sitting in the chair.
When is TSW4561586 finally arriving? DTG = scam since day 1.
It isn't a scam.
Add the p42 Antrack
Yet another cashgrab by releasing the same game with one minor update while it should be free
Hey I have an idea what if you add more London underground with ato sometimes in real life drivers will switch to manual
Will there be £1000 worth of DLC for this game too?
You know it!
Training Center reminds me of Train Simulator’s Academy
I noticed the numbering on the BNSF SD40-2s are wrong. They are all numbered from 1576-1999 ever since 2012-ish.
The ES44C4s are numbered from 3250-3281, 4200-4299, 5533-5546, 6500-7199, and 7921-8399
I am glad BNSF content is coming to the Train Sim World series, and hopefully Canadian Pacific (Canadian Rockies) and Kansas City Southern (Meridian-Shreveport Speedway) come soon.
You’re right. All I can find for as built 40-2s on the active roster is 1600 through 1997.
"If you know, you know"... I know, and yet I am genuinely surprised! And excited! Great stuff guys!
Still no consist creator?😒
You'll probably get one with Route Editor in TSW5342.
Some of the new American dlcs have gotten better, but are still a long way from realistic.
I find the american horns to be really lame....
I really hope for the Hamburger U or S Bahn for this game, would love to see the S3, maybe even in combination with the regional track to Kiel.
There will be a new Subway Game in Hamburg! For more information watch tomorrow the live event nextsim22 on the youtube channel nordrheintvplay
Yea! Sooo cooool! Hypeeded!
And also totaly cool to see JD and Matt together in one room. Streams in a special stream office would be very cool
Must be short pf cash
Can’t wait! I cannot stop thinking about TSW3 I need this game to release
The question is did you revamp the fences at Dagenham on South Eastern High Speed and the Walls at Rainham viaduct?
Train sim world 3?! I love train sim world and BNSF I made BNSF 9399 and BNSF 9373 in train sim world 2
suggestion: since the New York City railfan community is huge, can we get some MTA subway lines, like the Lexington ave lines/ 4, 6, and 6 lines
Great, TSW Edition 3 and still only US, UK and GER. I regret buying the Rush Hour DLCs on sale.
I’m quite excited for this game, these graphics are amazing! Don’t listen to any of those haters Dovetail, keep doing what you think is best!
Agreed, I’m very excited
Another poorly finished game, and abandoning another.
Will night time actually be dark?
It looks nice actually. I wish we didn't have to get a while new game but I suppose it is what it is, probably won't be able to get it on launch but hopefully shortly after.
And also I've been asking this for quite awhile. Can we get an Australian Route on TSW3. I would ask on the forums but it won't let me sign up, Age or something...
Any chance we will be able to adjust a slider on the day/night cycle to speed up time in TSW3? That would be really cool to see the day turn into night more quickly, or sunrise.
I would like to see a route with MARC,METRA,or go transit
Dam the third game is coming out and I’m hyped but there is one thing I think that should be in this game and that would be build mode idk if it would be easy to implement but I do think it would really sell this game and maybe in train sim 4 we could see this as an option either way I’m still going to buy the game
Another thing I think everyone would love is if trains had the ability to break a couple and this would happen if you give to much throttle at once stretching out the couple and having it break but it should be a option in the menu as some people would not like this option but it is open for anyone who would like to add to the challenge and also fighting the weather
Welcome to Train Sim World 2.5 sold as a new product and a new product price. :)
Wondering if any of train sim world 2 content will transfer over like train sim 20xx. Being I'm sure alot of folks are like me and spent a good amount on routes, add on and customized skins.
Maybe in TSW5262 they will add those.
I mean nice routes but a bit on the pricey side for me. I would have preferred routes in some brand new countries instead
I’d like to see more freight lines with more switching.
I hope that the problem of fluidity will be repaired because even on the video we see that it "jerks" still a lot and that it is not fluid.
If you manage to make the game smooth without jerks I would be very happy to buy this new chapter of the TSW franchise.
Longer routes ??? I'll take it... denser routes ??? I'll kill for it
I think the distances in tsw2 are so short that the fun is over quickly
