Package Inspection Techniques from CCIT

Until recently, pharmaceutical packaging was only subjected to sterility testing. However, the US Food and Drug Administration stressed the need for highly sensitive container closure integrity testing (CCIT) when it became clear that sterility testing alone is insufficient to maintain the integrity of medical products.
