(Had to reupload the video with some minor edits since RUclips kept age restricting it) To reiterate the previous video: the terms "rock" and "metal" have pretty loose interpretations, therefore I made sure to check the genre of every album in this video on rateyourmusic, see what genres are attributed to each song on their Wikipedia pages and if I'm still not certain - see what the general consensus is for the genre on the respective artist's subreddit/forum. I've also excluded a few artists that a lot of you commented shouldn't have been included in the last video, so hopefully more people are satisfied this time. Still messing around with the format so I'm open to changes and suggestions, and of course thank you to everyone who gave constructive comments on the last video! Enjoy :D
sad to see so many great bands missing (Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Korn, Slayer, Nightwish, Dream Theater…) and also a lot of bands are underappreciated (for example Avenged Sevenfold deserves to be much higher) such a shame
@@kokushibou.shorts I mean, your opinion. But as I’m saying, people think Nirvana ruled grunge even though there’s better grunge bands than them. Somehow Nirvana only lasted a few years and were blown up and there’s older grunge bands with better music but are severely underrated due to how trash Nirvana fans are. You’ll see a seven year old girl wearing a Nirvana shirt knowing damn well she only listened to one song.
Hang on, six Beatles albums... and none of them are Sgt Pepper's or Revolver? I can maybe understand Revolver as no song really stands out as far as billion-stream songs go. Yellow Submarine, maybe, but the rest of the album must be pretty consistent in terms of streaming numbers. Sgt Pepper, though, I'd expect to have multiple songs with over a billion streams. I mean, it's widely considered the greatest album of all time. Also, AM having over 4 BILLION more streams than Nevermind blew my mind. I mean, I love Arctic Monkeys, but that's a hell of a gap. In fact, it's got to be one of the most streamed albums of all time regardless of genre.
Revolver: 1,089,332,660 Magical Mystery Tour: 1,043,449,564 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band: 969,848,722 the more popular song by Revolver is Eleanor Rigby with 300m+
apparently the RATM cover broke guidelines in regards to suicide/self-harm according to youtube support, removed a song that played during elton john's honky chateau too since it was literally titled "i think im going to kill myself" :D
Can you change the title? It makes no sense! It's just the most streamed on Spotify, and obviously, that benefits the most recent ones. This makes no sense at all!

Maroon 5
@@OIeksandr maroon 5 first album is rock
@@pedropedro-d4w and second, then they sold the fuck out, and made hands all over.
What is this, the third time ive shown you the cage the elephant video? ruclips.net/video/StlaZdLTDik/видео.html
seeing master of puppets not even making it into top 100 while harry styles, coldplay and arctic monkeys are in top 10 is wild 💀
What's wrong with old Coldplay?
It is most streamed. It is common pop albums are likely to be on the top than metal. But Harry Styles is rock? Put him elsewhere
Before I watch the video, I had one sure: I would see some mad injustices
Very happy to see One-X here, hoping for more Three Days Grace here, they deserve the success.
Iron Maiden 😢😢😢

such a shame
Yessir.
No KoRn?? Thats crazy
HOW IS ARCTIC MONKEYS ABOVE NEVERMIND?
Nevermind was released 1991 (way before streaming) while AM was released 2013 (during streaming), i think it's self explanatory.
Nirvana overrated as hell

My 2 favorite Linkin Park albums both in the top 5 is incredibly based
Sadly just 4 out of 8 are mentioned😂

Did you combine the individual single streams for some?
Because I'm pretty sure American idiot by Green Day would have only 3.5 billion otherwise

woahhhh maroon 5 what the hell? Anyone listens to marron 5 like me? Lets have a party tonight!
I hope Harry makes more albums like his debut. He's proven to be a pretty decent soft rock artist.

They left out the one song Meteora is most known full, how do you mess up that bad?
31:10 imagine not featuring viva la vida for the viva la vida Album...
I guess he was using the most "rocky" songs from the album. He didn't use scientist or clocks for A Rush of Blood to the Head

Fall out boy is that you?! 7:51
