I’ve always given firm handshakes. It’s what I was taught growing up but it was also kind of second nature to me. Look someone in the eye, smile, & give a firm handshake.

Hello Brian. Thanks for sharing this video. I’m glad that you’re feeling better. Great tie! Your tips on body language and communication have helped open soo many doors for me in the last year that I would need a book to tell all of the stories. I use to dress like I fell off a watermelon truck until you taught me how to dress like a Billionaire. Don’t fake it till I make it, fake it until you become it. Also, you cured me of my problem of cutting people off when they were speaking. Every time I go to speak someone, your voice is like an angel in my head reminding me to “pause before replying.” 99% of the time I count to 3 after someone speaks to ensure that it’s my turn to talk. Great video and thanks again.

Smiling is almost painful for me, it makes me feel defenseless. When I was in the Army, you weren't allowed to smile. Transitioning is incredibly difficult, but Brian is absolutely right. I need to practice my smile! I have been smiling at myself in the mirror every day and even while driving my car. I'm sure onlookers feel I must be some kind of crazy person!

THeres a lot of truth in fake it till you make it. Just the act of smiling if for no reason has been proven to increase our happiness levels. Let them think your crazy. Actual happy people will get it and or not judge you for allowing yourself one the simple pleasures

great video. Except that the 55% body language, 38% tonality, and 7% words as the basis of communication is wrong. The study was done in a specific situation and it's not scientifically proven, it was taken out of context and yet everyone thinks it factual. Go do a sales presentation and use only 7% of words and watch your sales grow, NOT. People should really research when you use statistics especially if when you have the status as Brian Tracy. Other than that he's great.

    HI,
lived my life in sales in Asian Subcontinent. Recently moved to Canada and started my career in sales. Having cultural differences and intent to learn new organizational culture, i remained relatively silent for first couple of days and management developed an understanding that i am shy and i am really worried about that.
Went through your videos and learnt the good sales practices in Canadian/American culture.
    thanks

Lol i remember smiling at someone while selling him a product, he was looking at me like i was a maniac 🗿
Most of the time i felt like people was looking at me in a weird, angry manner but then i found out, that i was the cause of that, i didn't smile or look at them in a welcome manner, and i was a perfectionist too, i thought that i always had to look great or feel great lately i realized that no one's perfect and i don't need to be, practice makes everything better, i thought a mistake would only be corrected if i abort all the progresses.
Thank God I'm becoming better and better, and you're one of the reasons, i really enjoy your videos since i changed my mindset
Nothings perfect neither are we human beings.
And you were right about affirmation the more you compliment yourself, the better you feel, the more you resent, complain about yourself, the worse you feel
Usually all the negative ideas come up to the mind, without even thinking about it
The only solution to this, is simply let it go
    Just don't care.
distract yourself let your mind in the background solve this
It's just I've learned many things lately so i just wanted to process it better by commenting

Dress is subjective, cultural, and intergenerationally subjective. For instance you standing there wearing a suit, while for older generations might represent some sort of authority or respect. I and many people like me see it as stuffy, non-individualistic, puppet, con man, conformist, corporate this tool etc. But fortunately I look beyond my initial impressions, to listen to the words.

I work in sale's for the construction end of the industry. Although it is not corporate america I dress clean, neat, and comfortable. I meet home owner's on a daily basis in there comfort zone. I work for guy who also does sale put dress more pristine then i do. I know my sales quota is slightly hire then his but not by much. i feel in the construction industry you dress for the part. Is over dressing, meaning you show up in expensive attire compared to just something nice and not flashy hurtful or helpful ? Granted there are a few more factors involved client time that you spend and being punctual. Can some one throw a comment up for me.

I don't have a pretty smile. Smiling makes my face look chubby.😒 do I HAVE to show teeth when I smile? My teeth are straight and white but there is a minor unevenness that I don't like in my front teeth. My dentist thinks it's too minor to do anything about it. I guess I need to get past that.

Always love your material and the way you present it. I'm always learning something.
I personally wouldn't put the words bum and homeless in the example you shared. Homeless does not equal lazy etc. so a negative illustration to your point. Homeless is not always a choice, but being a bum is.
