- A Hetalia tribute using 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' by Daft Punk. It took me a while, but I'm really glad with how it turned out... ^^

Hetalia maybe stereotypes, but what I've seen that people from the fandom are far more open to different people. We pay attention to the news more, we are more saddened by the wars and events that happen to countries other than our own. We understand that we are all together in this world. And that is a beautiful notion, all from one quirky web comic/anime.

I'm pretty sure anyone who watches Hetalia would be excited for a "World Countries" subject in history. They'd be the only ones who would *want* to remember the knowledge. And possibly know everything. xD
When I read history books I count how many times it mentions the countries
OH WELL every fvcking time someone mentions Britain, Prussia or Italy I'm like *PICK ME I FVCKING AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO W I L L GET THIS ANSWER RIGHT!!!* Especially when it comes to Romano xD My teacher was like *Did you know we live on prussian ground?* and then I squealed like *REALLY* loud and was like *OMG OMG OMG I'M FRICKIN WALKING ON PRUSSIAN GROUND!! Hetalia is my favorite anime xD i learned a lot from it. Lol i never knew Cuba and the USA are hostile towards each other in till i saw Hetalia. Lmao
My parents get so mad when I get upset over wars and stuff and I cry because they say "hetalia is not REAL history", which I know it's not, but it still makes me very sad hearing what's going on in the world. Geez, we humans can be cruel.
But Hetalia IS based on true historical events...

It also makes us feel more for the countries, not just our characters, which also makes Hetalia have one of the most sympathetic fandoms existing on the Internet, so you can now rub that fact into your parents faces :3

I don't know why, but as I watched this, I imagined each character almost mechanically pushing each other out of the way to control a region. Like with Europe, Grandpa Rome, Germania, HRE, Napoleonic France, Germany, USSR, and then, Germany again, but this time more EU-ish.
Meanwhile was England not satisfied with boring little Europe and decided to rule the whole world instead :D
I can kinda imagine The Nordic5 do something similar.
This is the first Hetalia music video I had ever seen, and every once in a while I return and concentrate on the pictures, seeing how many people I can recognise before it switches. :) It's a really fun game, and it tests how well you know everyone.

@ Sir. Sunshine yeah... I love world culture class! It usually ends with me staring at people because they didn't memorize it like I did. And it's really fun to think up different hetalia scenes for each country!

I also think it's so awesome how Hetalia is meant to be a light-hearted, kind of ridiculous show, but the concept of personified countries can be super deep considering their histories. That's why hetalia fanfiction and fanart that extend the original are so amazing :D
