Still amazes me how much a “concept design” would be better suited on the car than the original design. I really like what you did with the front wing, while for the rest of it, It's minimalistic and easy to the eye. I think the extra blue you've added to the body, bigger at the front but carrying through to the rear wing makes the whole car look vibrant and fun. Great redesign mate👍
4/10 for the real thing and 5/10 for Tommo version. I still think that the original one would be atleast a 5 or 6 if they increased the size of the sponsors to cover more of the area. Maybe they will scale it well for the real thing, so lets wait and see

Personally, I prefer the original livery. You nailed the front wing and the logo sizings, but I prefer how the colours flow in the side view of the real livery. It's difficult to put aside how I feel about the structure of the cars and just judge the livery. I prefer how the real car looks, physically, compared to the structure you've used in your render, so that might skew things a bit. Excited to see more!
I agree, the side profile of the Haas looks sharper and doesn't remind me of toothpaste like Tommo's. However, all of the other aspects of it are better on Tommo's

Personally I really like the actual 2022 Haas, I would give the official one a 7/10 and I would give Tommos a 6/10, because I don't know how I feel about he colours going onto the rear wing sides and I think the numbers could "pop" a bit more.. A goood job still!
First of all, the concept looks great as always Tommo. I love the revisions to the nose cone and front wing elements. This concept looks really good while simultaneously staying within reasonability to real life. With that being said, the rendering of the VF-22 actually makes sense. The model that the concept livery was on is purely for aesthetics whereas the rendering is more geared for performance. The small side pod inlets decrease drag, which was probably done due to Ferrari solving their cooling issues. The squared nose-cone diverts more streamlined air into the top inlet (which follows Ferrari’s concept), which then allows for the smaller side pod inlets, and a skinnier coke bottle. The angularity of the side pods, quickly narrowing into the coke bottle makes perfect sense. It’s diverting more air over the side pods and then downwards towards the floor, which has far more wet surface area and thus, increase “clean” downforce on the rear. The skinnier coke bottle allows for more floor, and less drag, which follows the Mercedes concept. I think the basis of the VF-22 shown is accurate, but obviously there will be differences at the first GP weekend. These cars aren’t going to look “good” necessarily. As noted, the constructors are after performance, not aesthetics. The 2022 show car (FOM) was to paint the new car in a good light. Few constructors will follow that philosophy as they’ve seen how a low rake, skinny Mercedes dominated the field. Considering these cars have almost no rake, we’ll see designs more similar to this which has elements of the previous generation Mercedes. Anyways, keep up the good work, and keep on making these concepts! You always do a good job!
I love the front wing design, thats just perfect, the color layout is also better, it fits with the shape of the car itself. The only thing I like more on their livery is the shade of red color. For me its too light. But otherwise great job.
I really don’t like the irl version but damn did you nail your take. Really like how instead of the black covering the outlines of the car you put some colour to just show how big the car actually is, it makes this really nice sleek look that blends well. Also the better branding locations and sizing adds to it a lot. Really excited for more of your takes Tommo!
This is much better - i really like how you made the car look different to last years' - although i loved last years livery but yeah this is different, its new, i love it. The body is sooo nice (birdseye shot) and the Uralkali logo on the front wing ooooooo yeah!
Knocked it out of the park Tommo! I’m a graphic designer so I have quite a lot of nit-picky technical issues with the Haas livery which I can’t help but notice… mainly the small slithers of white underneath the red and blue ‘wave’ which aren’t the same width as the other colour bands. I really love your recreation though, it gives me flashbacks to the toothpaste Williams, one of my favourite liveries of the recent few years!

6/10 for the redesign. The red-and-blue band design feels like a möbius strip of sorts, much like the Coca-Cola "dynamic device." May have a bit too much black though, esp. on the front wing; white "Uralkali" font color on blue background could work. P.S. surprised that you omitted the stars from your redesign from last year... XD
4/10 for the real thing and 6.5/10 on the Tommo version, imo. I think you did a really good job, especially on the red and blue waves down the sides of it. Well done!
For the redesign.. 9/10 maybe the red/blue on the side of the rear wing are a bit too much. In term of general livery, a solid 7, 7.5 let's say! Very nice job. Even in term of thinking about the sponsors, it is way better. I looked at their livery for over 20 minutes to analyse the livery and the car itself and I didn't even noticed the sponsor under Haas on the side. Well done mate.
I like your redesign. Removing some of the black and accentuating the red and blue of UralKali was a good call. It also makes the car look a bit more compact. That, somehow, makes it look a bit faster from my perspective. 8.5/10
Looks great Tommo, I just have 2 things. 1. The HAAS Logo on the sidepods is always "indented" into the bottom with like a white outline bringing it forward from the black on the originals. 2. I think the red at the back is just a bit too large, it feels like as you say you just added the blue later. I'd do maybe double red compared to blue or apply the golden ratio to balance it, and then try the same on the side of the nose cone. Also I quite like the matte on the real car but I do understand it doesn't look that good in the AC Showroom, but I just think the gloss washes out the colours a bit and matte might've improved that on a proper render. All in all I'd give it 8/10, well done I'm a fan of it!
This actually looks very good, everything you would need to see is there. I love the red and blue striping that goes from the front of the car to the back and how the two colours twist around in the middle. It's a solid 8 from me.

From one designer to another, really love that you were able to successfully translate the original intention into something more impactful and on brand. With their color scheme it’s honestly confusing to me that they don’t have some of the best visual style on the grid 😅
The one think that you pointed out with the end plates is that to me, I don't understand why they could not place the Ural over top of the Kali making it more squared off and filling more of the end plate while also increasing the size of the font to make it easier to read. Feels abit of a missed opportunity. Also I utterly adore the angle you with with for the flag swops along the bottom, comes off a bit like a flag that you are not looking at dead on that is moving in the wind that fits for a F1 car.
I think you definitely did MUCH better with the sponsor placement to make the car look less barren, but I think your sponsor placement with the original livery would be the best combo.
I have a very hot take on the Haas livery. Honestly, it's not that bad. Though I would give it a 6/10, it's really not that bad. The 2021 Haas livery was my 8th best looking among the 10 liveries, it was above Williams and Alfa Romeo liveries.
Both yours and the real one look nice. I actually think I prefer the red and blue on the front wing over the black. The colors just pair so well with each other that I wanna see it in as many places as possible. I agree with the sponsor logos being too small. I wonder if that will be different on the real thing in the end.
I think the big white space above ‘HAAS’ is basically to say “hey sponsors we have a perfect large white canvas for you to shove a logo here” sort of thing.
6/10 for me, some things that you did to improve sponsor placement took away from points that the real car actually got right (big blue 1&1 on the nose, you actually made the haas side logo smaller). Other than that solid design, I'm not into how the blue and the red look on the side (maybe the other way around?) and I like how the original car is mostly white, but that's a bit of personal taste I guess. Front wing looks awesome, totally nailed it. That final bit you did in 2021 redesigns where you would try some alternate combinations was really good, would be nice if you thought about repeating that going forward!
Great redo. I like your design much better. It has a better flow than the original. The sponsors larger logos get seen better and that should be priority in a design. They spent the money , they should be visible at a glance.
It would have been interesting to see your design on both the car that Haas revealed as well as the older 22 model that you actually used. It would help *illustrate* your point about how the livery is dependent on the car shape.

My own Haas concept was with a white base but red and blue paint splashes all across the car. Designed in GTSport. Manages to keep the Russian colours but is able to actually look fun and different.
I'd give your design a 8/10, I want to give it a 9, but it is a simple design so I(personally) can't give it a 9. And personally I prefer Haas' chassis to the one SMS designed, I like a low wing and also the square nose in Haas' car. But overall you did an amazing job, it looks really really good

One thing I like on the real Haas is the number font. Sort of reminds me of the mid-2000s Gonzaga basketball number font.

Tommo's looks absolutely spot on, though I really like the original one (even car design-wise).
I like the placement of UA logo and Alpinestars logo, make the car more robust
