Thank you Bluecoats! Nothing on Earth compares to standing this close to a hornline of this caliber. Congrats on creating the most memorable musical moments of the summer of '24!
@@jordantyler148I mean yeah almost. Towards the very end of the closer there’s a couple sour notes that are well *blatantly* obvious but it was executed in such a way it 100% deserved first place. I believe that if PR had been cleaner than they were, they would’ve been way up there with Bloo. Their show this year was amazing and easily the fan favorite. But Bloo was so clean and holy moly their music was wild. Definitely some really hard stuff, wouldn’t say it’s the hardest but they did an excellent job this season
@@apxclan13Be aware of the level of the book, combined with ‘simultaneous responsibilities’. Like the four sections part, already demanding, but spread out over the field it’s insane.
@@colersen with the exception of the brass feature they couldn’t play, PR’s was no where near difficult enough to win them brass. Bloo absolutely deserved the Ott, and probably had the hardest book this year. Bloo’s brass difficulty tends to be more in the domain of ensemble demand than like difficult triple tonguing features or runs, but they still had a very difficult and well executed book. This is not by any stretch of the imagination the most difficult book ever.
In the stadium you know this is an AWESOME brass section, but in the lot you know why they're the Jim Ott winner!!!
