Bottom amp is Jet City Custom 22, it uses the same power amp section designed by Mike Soldano as regular 20W Jet City head (JCA20H), but it's preamp section is designed by Martin Kidd. I have it and really love it, sounds amazing and it's way more versatile than JCA20H since it has two channels, FX loop and some extra tone controls.
Not sure about playing the 20 watters live, but my jet city jca50 will tear your god damn head off. It keeps up with my 6505+. I love it, best $225 ever spent. Lol
I have the 50w jet city I picked up for 250 I got back into playing in a band I'm still blown away after pair an od to it. The thing kills it was only a temporary solution till I got another evh but these are slept on
How do you like the negative feedback control? Is it kind of like a Horizon Devices Precision Attack knob? Just got in a bunch of mod parts from Epic Amplification for my HDM100 this week. Negative feedback control, mid sweep control, high cut control, flub/fizz destroyer, pedal friendly effects loop and capacitor upgrade mods. I am very excited.

It's all in the crazy balance between the mics, their position at the speaker, the settings on the mixer and making sure there's no clipping at the Interface. I'm glad you like it, brother!! :)
Man I got a 20 watt krank rev jr. The thing straight rips. I've used it live outside somebody got a cell phone recording that I was able to watch it and was pretty impressed with how much nutts it had. Of course it was miced up but it was full, actually to loud in the mix. 20 watts is all you need it's definitely loud enough and sounds rad, but I still have 100 watt stuff and 50 watt stuff for me it's just simply the old adage I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. I've played show's in the past were the pa was straight garbage or better yet the pa was brand new the "latest and greatest"and the sound guy didn't have a handle on it yet. There's a few factors so I find it better to have at least 50 tube watts and if worse comes to worse I can just turn it up and go. A good old rectifier got me through alot of shows from a birthday party were the vocals are the only thing miced to larger clubs with good pa's and bad pa's. Not running a rec now but it's a great standard to go by I never had the 50 watt option when I gigged with one but if I was to get another I would get whatever one is the best multi watt revision they've made.
Bro i love jet city amps, I've been trying to score a jca50 lately. Super underrated and reasonably priced. Only beef is Chinese made. Wanna get the HDM100 though because it has depth control. But yeah, JCA is legit
Yes, I love mine. Wherever he gets them built, they did a really good job with them. There are a few amps made in China that are pretty bad but my two Jet City amps are built solid. I just ordered one earlier today for March delivery! Aaahhh! I'm psyched about it!
I have a JCA50, I prefer it to my 5150 block letter, and its not too far off volume , not the same head room but still enough at 50watt, great clean, takes pedals super well, OD channel sounds killer with an od boost (sounds great without too)

The new angle is cool, but i think that the camera needs just a slight adjustment because it is showing too much of the right-side where nothing is going on, and too little of the left, where you are.

Didn't see a price. But I still contend. The guts were always the best built shit for the price point, back when they were dealing with GC and other 3rd party web based sales. Being smaller runs, I'd say just as good if not better now. Although...sure the prices have gone up. Like everything.
Great amps! I have the custom 22 and am waiting to install the capncrunch, silver hammer and negative feedback mods from Epic Amplification - I'll probably replace the tubes too but it's a great amp as is!

@@JustAdude291 for the 50 and 100 models sometimes yes. the "ltd" yes for sure. depends when it was made. the newer built ones mostly were using the 1k screen resistors allowing you to use either one. but if you find an older one the mod to use el34 is literally just replacing two resistors upping them to 1k. and amelia can use 6l6 or el34.

Arsen so far I have had no issues installing them myself. I am sure an amp tech at a music store could easily install them as well.

Then I'd recommend a capacitor upgrade first and foremost. They have that on Epic Amplification's website. :)

The original ones were the blue tolex models with the “333” logo. I own one of them. The black tolex models came out years later.

You can get a depth control mod through Epic Amplification. I have seen them on the 20s and 50s.

I never played the black ones, only old blue 20w (modded and not modded) and 50w heads but sounded pretty flat for me.
