I always travel in my work, and I had the opportunity to visit NK a little over a year ago. What a rare bird this store/operation is, given the fragile state of brick-and-mortar game stores in today's e-commerce driven world. I hope the operation continues to thrive. What a treat for gamers in the greater Madison WI area.
I've been there a few years ago. The physical store itself was surprisingly small for how big of an online presence they have. At the time they didn't have any kiosks to peruse their warehouse wares (or they were not in service), you just had to surf their website which was kinda lame. IMHO it was pretty average game store size with perhaps a bit more table space than usual. The tour of the game store ends at around the 5 minute 30 second mark of the video. There was absolutely no looking into the used/old RPGs section, everything in the store was new releases or had only existed in the last few years (absolutely nothing earlier than 2010, and I'm being generous in that estimation). It should be stated: the warehouse is completely off limits for walk-in customers (which is entirely sensible, but the majority of the video takes place in that area and i feel it should be noted). There was a room for misbegotten toys that customers could peruse, basically a trash board game area as they have a lot of unsellable board games they'll get rid of on premises for very cheap, though they are not categorized in any way, it's one step shy of digging through a heap. I did not see this area in the video (maybe a flash of it at the end "clearance cave", though it looked more organized than when I was there). I brought something like 12' of assorted unwanted RPG books there to dump, got roughly $100 per foot (maybe $5-8 a book max), it was worth it for the convenience of getting rid of all of it at once but if you have the time I would recommend instead selling anything you have of note online yourself, for your trouble you'll probably make 5-10x as much. I would never even attempt to sell anything of collectible value/nature to Noble Knight. They want to sell it at the value you want it bought from you at, and therefore they will look to buy it from you for 10% of that value. So just get rid of stuff cluttering your shelf that you're almost thinking about throwing in the trash. The kind of stuff you'd be happy to get a pittance for getting rid of. That's the stuff to sell/trade to Noble Knight. Just an opinion. That all being said it's a nice (if exceedingly average) physical store with fairly friendly people. If it took just some of it's old/used product and put it in the store I'd probably rate it quite a bit higher than I do. I bought OAR #6 the Temple of Elemental Evil there, so it was about the time of that product's release when I went (2021-2022).
Great tour! And it was a treat to meet up with both and talk shop. NK is a national treasure. The Madison Area Wargamers meet up there every other week and it’s a minor miracle every time I leave without buying a crate.
YES! I think we’re listed on the NKG schedule now, but we meet 2nd and 4th Sundays each month around noon. Got a table sign and everything…. Not meeting Dec 8 due to a store event though.
WOW! So size does matter, truly impressive. Very cool, mind blown. Would be impossible to visit and not leave without buying something, so much fantastic stuff, crazy.
I got a couple of AH games recently that were missing just three counters between them. I reported it and they sent them to me. It took a couple of weeks for them to find the exact counters, but I got them.
That is amazing! Now I know where I'm headed when the zombie apocalypse hits just to browse for entertainment until I'm eaten. What ever came out of the unionization efforts there a few years back? I never heard.
I've had a couple of tours of the warehouse and it is everything you'd think it was and more. We have a pretty good wargaming presence there, too. Just not to the level that RPGing, Minis and cards do.
I couldn’t go there. If I did I know I’d drop way too much money I don’t have 😁 Everyone needs a Mind Flayer plaque hanging above their fireplace, right? Appreciate the video!
I hope there is a sprinkler system in this warehouse....lots of cardboard. Otherwise, is it too much to ask to be buried there? Amazing warehouse...a wargamers dream
"Let me find something interesting here" @ ruclips.net/video/0I_AUzExAuI/видео.html Heck, it's all interesting--and then some. Good of NKG to allow you to film, and kudos to you and Brant for not switching someone's shipping labels just to be funny.

thank you for taking me to the Mecca of gaming! Loved the show!😀

Great tour! I've purchased from them before and this made me look at them again for Christmas gifts!
Thanks for posting
I've purchased from NKG before so it was very nice to see the operation
Great store have done a lot of business with them over the years and they are great to work with.

Wait . . . there's a wargaming group that meets up at NKG?? What days?

@@swo_01I'll be there on Nov 27th!
lovely tour.. except the fast swinging camera has me dizzy
How great was that , i'm in OZ and do purchase from NK , i see online what they have for sale but the video really shows it off. thanks again Ardy
I’ve been there, but never to this level of detail…thanks. I would have the same challenge,,, kid in a candy store!!
I don't know how good the game is, but the minis for the Batman miniatures game are really cool.

I broke out in a nervous sweat. thank you.
Now we know what Ardy's Valinor looks like. :D
Thank you
Wright-Patterson… home of the Presidential Air Force planes too!
Don’t pan your camera too fast, actually you want it to pan slowly so the detail will have time to register with the viewer.

I hope you got the whole Lords of Baseball set! It was a hoot when we played at SDHISTCON!
I did end up with everything.
@@ardwulfslair awesome! Prove Brant wrong he has no idea what he’s talking about!!!
Holy Guacamole! 😲 "Which aisle is the Ark of the Covenant stored in" Lol! 😄 Seriously WOW!
I think that's actually in the basement, but the place is so big that I couldn't find it.
Just imagine all the "included" dice that no one needs.
I've had a couple of tours of the warehouse and it is everything you'd think it was and more. We have a pretty good wargaming presence there, too. Just not to the level that RPGing, Minis and cards do.
They should sell tours. I have dreams about finding a place like that but only having 5 minutes to shop.
Traveler, my favorite

Appreciate the video!
Alas, the Boss vetoed the idea.
I've never been disappointed by NK games. Bought from them "Turning the Tide" for ASL in pristine condition at a reasonable price.
Quite a display case, my wallet aches
I live 10 minutes from NKG . . . fabulous operation, I just which there was a little more emphasis/knowledge on wargames/historical strategy games
Oh boy! Someday I will make a pilgrimage to NKG ...
I hope there is a sprinkler system in this warehouse....lots of cardboard. Otherwise, is it too much to ask to be buried there? Amazing warehouse...a wargamers dream
Wow
