We all know this wasn't mma and what would have happened if it was.
I m not agree with the desicion. In my humble opinion Fabre won this fight
Wow Faber put on tha lbs! 😮
Patty cake with urijah Faber.. interesting
I was 16 years old when a friend of mine said to me that in bjj leglocks are a coward and noob move.
I have never trained jj, but I got agree with statment
(By the way he won a world jj competition in 1994 and most of you had no idea what bjj or jj was).
Let me guess, was he Brazilian? American Jiujitsu attacks 100% of the body and doesn't ignore the legs
This matchup was not the best. Technically Nicky is a different level. Faber was defending 90% of the time and only could rely on his strength and wrestling skills that prevented him from getting submitted - and the end of the mat
10:48 hahaha Faber was just a pest the entire time
A pest that mauled nicky
BOOOOOOOORIIIIIIIIING !
Faber is a thick boy!
I love seeing the ego of Urijah Faber managing to bully Nicky Ryan! Was a good lesson for Nikky and a good time for Uriah.
Most of the fight was on the bottom. And won the fight.... Yep.... well....
Two sub attempts vs not passing guard once.......
Faber for the win all day long
Awesome moves
Ese tipo Nocky Ryan no puede separar el ¢u1o del piso... No puede ser...
Urijah would’ve totally won this match if it was a professional patty cake competition.
How to sign up
Faber was at a folkstyle and freestyle wrestling tourny lately and did great. I think cub swanson and clay guida and a few ppl were too they all looked awesome. He should stick to that in his off time lol the sub grappling doesnt seem his vibe
Cub wrestled? How did he do?
@@juntjoonunya9216 i believe he won two or 3 on points and lost the last on a decision
@@shad3128 that's pretty good for NOT wrestler but all mma fighters have decent skills at least in all areas. I presume this wasn't a big competition

@@juntjoonunya9216 nah it was pretty big. It was ran by USA wrestling. They had good talent. Most mma fighters pickup some good wrestling but in most legit folk or freestyle tourneys they will get beat on pretty bad esp if any d1 wrestlers are there. I was surprised how good clay guida did lol
Nicky couldn’t submit a 50 year old retired skateboarder? Guess he’s not as good as everyone says.
Imagine a MMA fighter going to decision in a boxing match against one of the best in the game. BJJ has some serious holes. It just isn't an imposing art.
Uriah's being the white belt wrestler at the BJJ academy with his behavior. They bring in these big names who do jack shit in these matches and it's a shame. 15 minutes of slappy hands and neck grabs.
Uriah did well.
There's only 2 types of comments here:
-The modern grappling turbo nerd hating on Uriah and trying to defend a boring-ass watered version of BJJ.
-The "if this was MMA..." comment that is not even addressing the problem.
Both miss the point. The sport is going to keep having 1000 active followers as long as the format is maintained. And the solution is not turning it into Vale Tudo.
Let's go back to the roots, I want these two to keep rolling until one surrenders. There's literally 0 excitement in this shit as it is.
What the hell is this 😂 after 5 minutes of pushing I'm back to surfing the internet 😂
What the hell kind of fight is this?
It’s a grappling match, meathead
It’s grappling goofy… if you don’t know what it is youre in trouble. lol
Do you not know what jiu jitsu is damn your a casual
@@jeremyjameslv he might’ve meant this fight in particular is pure shit
Nicky Ryan didn’t do anything,,, pulled guard and sat there!!! The favorite!!👌👎
He kept giving his legs for imho leg locks
uriahs did a Brendan schwab
Point based BJJ is as boring as it is offensive to the roots of the art.
We need to go back to the 50min nonstop matches until submission or let the sport die.
Nicky Ryan can't even hold his brothers jock strap . . Nor a fan at all
Faber: Tries something like 50 Front Headlocks / Front Choke attempts.
Commentators: "Urijah is not doing anything"
Well, at least the commentators were unbiased…
Lol biased as heck
Someone has told Faber that to start a scooter you've got to push it...
Uriah wasn't there to play jiu jitsu and he let lil Nicky know it when Nicky was diaper scooting at him! 😂
Did Urijah ever get his blue belt?
Power bottom for the win
Faber pulling a Shaub.
Referee out here looking like Fedor 🤣
It looks like me trying a special move in mortal combat. Only one move
Cant imagine trying to pull guard in a street fight..
