    In this video, I am flipping through my old art from 2003 to 2009. Looking through my old drawings is always a really interesting experience, and seeing how much I have progressed and improved is very energising. This is art I made over 10 years ago!
    I hope you guys will enjoy this as much as I loved filming it!

    I found your channel last night, the first thought that crossed my mind was that I wanted to see your old sketchbooks to see your progress... and then you uploaded it the next day (today) which is crazyyy.

    God. Myriam, this video is so precious. I wish so much i had all of my old drawings and its really beaultiful how you were able to keep all of this. I would love to see you revisiting some of these very old concepts that you still like. Im excited for part 2! I also would love to hear about what do you learned from your art journey so far in a video. I mean, not technically. I observe that by being commited to art we learn so much more about life and ourselves...so, my question is : How much art have made you grow as a person? I would also love to hear about your greatest challenges on your art especially about how you managed to do it for living. You are very much the most inspiring artist for me so i have so many questions for you hahaaha have a great day!

      Thank you Louise, what a kind comment! I’m so glad I kept all of these too, a lof of the credit goes to my dad, for encouraging me to keep them :) I actually am planning on doing a few videos where I talk about exactly what you asked for, but as it is a big topic to cover, it’s probably going to take me a bit of time. I definitely want to tackle it though, so it’s lovely to hear that some of you might be into it! :)

    4:02 The actor is Jeremy Stumpner and that live action 2003 adaptation of Peter Pan is actually good. I also used to have a crush on him as well.

    Your school was the same as mine. We also learnt nothing persides only the history. I only now managed to get the skills built only now. I've lost 9 years of actually learning how to do art. Thank you for your sketchbook flip through

    Myriam this is so adorable and I'm so glad you shared it. What really impresses me is the single minded determination and the seriousness with which you were already approaching your artistic development. I am really impressed, also, with the breadth of style and subject matter that you were exploring. It shows how you were pushing yourself with every drawing, taking yourself out of your comfort zone and exploring who you were as a person and an artist. I love it.

    Oh I would loooove a part two of this. It is really inspiring to see your progress and where you were coming from and I really like those (sometimes) goofy elements in there, it is lovely to see, that I am not the only one with really weird and funny art :)
    And I love the boost of inspiration that comes from old art. :)
    I hope you are well. :)

    It's interesting to see what did you do in different years, even if the old drawings don't have a good level, the ideas are there. That's why I love my horrible drawings haha, the ideas

    • @bluewren65
      @bluewren65 4 года назад +2

      @@myriamtillson Still not cheating. My parents are Croatian. Most of my siblings barely speak a word and some of those who do speak with a terrible accent. When I was in Croatia many years ago I asked my young cousins if it sounded funny when I spoke their language as it is not a language that they would routinely hear foreigners speaking. They said, "no, it just sounds like you're not from around here."

    OMG what kind of crushes did you have as a school girl???? :P Would love to see some "redrawing my old art" from some of those. When I was a kid I was obsessed with drawing fighters with chainmail armor, and also Godzilla fighting a giant squid underwater...
