I saw you at the carolina renn faire this weekend and you were an excellent performer and teacher. I'm not sure if you've ever considered doing ASMR, but this video in that style would be freaking perfect and I think you'd succeed in that space!

I haven't really looked into ASMR. If I can ever get a clean recording of the harp in the wind that would be fun.

Thank you for this in depth lesson on the harp and its history! Wonderfully put together with the compositions played.
And thank you, Cyrus, for lovingly helping to make this possible! You both are quite the team 💗

Really enjoyed this video! Your arrangements are great and the explanations very interesting, especially with the photos as back-up. Your shows must be great in real life!
Is there a non-facebook link to the Digital Ren Faire, btw?

We just seen you in North Carolina on Halloween. You're Truly a skilled musician that is a pleasure to listen to. I've been a musician for 20+ years and would love to collaborate with you sometime. I have a few tunes here on yt. (My wife and I asked you to pick the 3 cds we bought from you)
That first piece of music you played in this video is beautiful. Love that phrygian sound myself. I bet that harp sounds amazing playing lydian melodies as well.

You can learn more in Edward Bunting's 1840 book "The Ancient Music of Ireland."

@@sarahtheharpist I looked at that book and it sounds like the early 1800s wasn't a great time for irish music. And I noticed he's on about harp and pipes, and doesn't even mention flute, fiddle or bodhran. Thanks for the suggestion!
