Great video! Love that Polar Express. This weekend, I set up my battery Lionel G-Gauge Polar Express ... about 80 feet of track that runs through my living room and dining room .. posted a video of it. I like it, but it's a cheap plastic toy train, not quality models like you have. I would love to buy a quality model train that runs on batteries instead of traditional transformers. With RC LiPo batteries now so small, powerful, and cheap, they could easily be applied to model trains too. I just wish Bachmann or Lionel or American would make one and take my money. If you guys are listening ... G-Gauge please so I can use my existing track! :-)

I considered the G scale Polar Express, just because I love the Polar Express, but in the end I was glad I didn't because I wasn't sure what else I could get to run on that track. Although really, what's wrong with just running the Polar Express year round? ;-)
Lay down two feet or so of track, and then put your camera on top of a flat car and roll it along the track. I used a depressed center flat to get the camera really close. Its simplicity at its finest!

Yes, there are two separate tracks each with it's own transformer.
The MTH Canadian Pacific is the RailKing 4-6-4 Imperial Royal Hudson. The other is just Lionel's basic O gauge Polar Express.

The Polar Express set didn't include a "TrainSounds" tender. I had to buy that separately. The MTH came with sound.

The locomotive on that one is bigger and much heavier than the one on the Polar Express. Takes longer for it to get moving.
