Abu Hurraira narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said:

It was narrated from Thawban that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Nothing increases one’s life span except righteousness and nothing repels the Divine decree except supplication, and a man may be deprived of provision by a sin that he commits.’”
- ebn Majah 4022 (Sahih Albani), fitan
Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No believing man or girI, nor Muslim man or girI, is afflicted with illness but that Allah will curtail some of their sins.”
