It's actually a rebadged older generation Fisher & Paykel Dishdrawer. Haier owns both companies. I own a similar version. Works great for me. The technology has been around since the late 1990s and is relatively simple to work on.
Installed a 2008 F&P unit, cleaned well, not as noisy as the builder’s DW it replaced. A functional issue was the plastic tub material, hard water stains the tub and cleaning is difficult. The drying function worked great, draining condensation into the discharge line instead of exhausting hot humid air into the house. Negatives: way way too expensive and few if any service technicians nearby.
I have a Fisher and Paykel double dishwasher and it looks exactly the same on the inside, everything down to the washer arm. After many years my Fisher & Paykel bottom drawer finally gave out. I'm going to try this Cafe out since my home warranty is going to replace it absolutely free with install I can't beat that.🎉😊
Mine is so quiet I can’t tell it’s on until I hear the water in the sink gurgle when it’s draining. More importantly, my wife loves it. As for cleaning, we clean our dishes well before they get into the dishwasher, so, it’s mostly for the hot water wash and dry. Thanks for the video. I learned several things from it!!
Paykel is prounced as Pie-kle (like pickle but with pie instead of pick), not Pay-Kel. Proper pronunciation can be heard on videos posted by the company. The "doohickey" is not a handle to remove the rack, it lifts out of the way to access the cartridge filter. The stainless steel filter plate normally doesn't need cleaning. Removal of the rack is by lifting the *back* of it first, not the front. Replacing it is front first, then lower the back. Some of the pieces in the bag aren't replacement parts, they're optional use. Two of them are trays that fit on a compartment of the silverware basket to hold detergent pacs or tablets, those can't be put into the regular dispenser which is designed only for powder. Spray pressure is strong, assuming that hasn't changed from my 20yo F&P model (bought Aug 2003). Mine easily flips lightweight plastic items unless they're anchored. It once toppled a 6 oz. glass custard dish that was loaded leaning against another item.
Thanks for the info, i learned a lot from your comment. i am looking to update my kitchen with Cafe appliances and am seriously considering this DW, my question, after owning it for awhile, do you like it enough to buy it again?
I just switched my regular dishwasher for this one like a month ago. This dishwasher is amazing. When it’s running I can barely notice the noise at all, it’s super quiet. I have been mostly using it in the express mode and it cleans SUPER well. If the bottom is all filled, I don’t put cups on the top, but I do use the top racks for long spatulas and things like that and it gets all cleaned up. I don’t normally put my pans in dishwasher, I prefer handwashing them but this dishwasher is huge and you can put pretty much any size of pans you want. I love that you have many different ways to load the dishes. I am never going back to regular dishwasher again.
hi, @@destiny.valllll . I am not sure how to help you but this machine is pretty easy to use. I had ordered the Fisher & Paykel first but, weirdly didn't fit my dinner plates. I almost never use the bottom drawer which is so nice I don't have to bend down to fill the dishwasher most days. I had read some reviews with people saying it does not get the dishes clean and I have no problem with that at all. I don't even use the normal cycle, which is longer. It takes a bit of getting use to it, as loading is very different from regular dishwashers but you won't regret it if you buy.
@@AnastasiaBeverhousen it’s just so silent. It cleans the dishes but I don’t know when it’s done or not and there’s always water still on the bottom. Is that normal ? We’re a first time dishwasher house hold
@@destiny.valllll I know a tidy bit of water on the bottom is normal. I contacted them about it. Mine however, it started this week, when I use the top drawer only, water drains to the bottom drawer and accumulates there and in days starts to smell. I am gonna contact them about that. Yesterday I tried something. I opened the drawer, pressed the start button until any light turned off and closed the drawer. And it started draining the water by itself right away. As far as it being so quiet, I like it. And if I try to open the drawer and it does not open, I know it still washing.
@@AnastasiaBeverhousen Water appearing in the lower drawer after the upper is run (or vice versa) is an installation problem, related to how the drain hoses and Y-connector are arranged.
Great video informative. Would you be able to explain how to load the soap dispenser. And the best detergent to use. Pods? Liquid? Powder? Should both chambers be filled? Mine is very quiet, saves lots of space, but seems to be inconsistent of quality of cleaning
@@agoogleuser8724 I don’t understand how the pods work. The tray is so much smaller than the cascade pod itself. I have smashed it down to make it fit, and the damn thing didn’t pop open during the wash. Frustrated 😩
Im planning to get a Speedqueen toploader but i don´t really know where to get one because i live in Finland and i haven´t seen a single Speedqueen here. Is there any websites that you recommend to look from that can deliver the washer to Finland?
I'm having difficulty understanding how the controls work. I'm going to have to call customer service to get some instructions. The controls are not very intuitive.
I enabled the child lock and closed the drawer and now it won't open. The double knock stops it mid-cycle and allows you do open it, but it does not disable the child lock. The manual also does not give any instructions on how to disable the child lock once the drawer is closed.
trust me, you can barely hear the noise. Only when the water is coming out. I have to touch the machine to find out if it's running or not. Another cool feature is, when it's running, you just kind of bang twice on the drawer and it will stop if you need to load one more dish or something.
This is a poor design in my opinion they should have made a ledge on both sides in the middle of the dishwasher tub and had a rack for the cups it looks like having all the cups on the bottom will restrict the water flow and cause anything above it to not be cleaned
We just bought a new one of these and we’re having water standing in the bottom. We checked the drain line and it seems right, the tech guy came out and there is nothing wrong with the machine.

Marcone?

would like clear instructions to operate this double drawer cafe dishwasher. The default mode testing is frustrating.
The china mode actually refers to it washing the expensive ceramics called china. The dishwasher was probably made in china too.
You can’t put anything underneath the cups. Directions even say that. So it limits the amount of dishes you can put in. However I still love mine!
Do you use liquid dishwashing or a pod? Where does that go?? We just had ours installed and it’s not cleaning very well at all. Very disappointed.
I have same question so it would be very helpful. 🙏🏼 Thanks
It’s powdered detergent only
@@andredistefano2135 according to the manual you can also use pods. :)

Just like Fisher and Paykel you can use all three methods of cleaning detergents.
Why does the manual say to change the power cord before I even install it?
Anyone have this issue
If I bought one, I would use the top for pots/plates and use the bottom for cups and bowls!

I’d ask Speed Queen directly. They may have a distributor in Europe.
The China button is for fine China dishware.

there is another video it says you have to knock 3 times and then open. the dude shows it he is a plumber.

Pro: It looks nice.
Cons: It’s an over-priced POS that doesn’t clean dishes.
Too many ducking ads

Interesting design, poorly executed.
Meh. I think I will just stick with my Miele.
Beko better
