just a fun fact about this specific episode of ecw. ecw ran a house show in my hometown. this was the first and LAST time any wwe affiliated product made its way through my city of fort smith arkansas, not because of low attendance but because we were way to rowdy of a crowd. big show was piss ass drunk when he got to the ring he tried to JUMP over the top rope instead of walking over it his foot caught the rope and he slammed his face into the mat.
I think that cut on hollys back and he continued and finished the match too got him a lot of respect especially from the ecw crowd like he belonged there
I remember when the Hardcore Holly match happened the WWE replayed that clip over and over, crazy how they go way out of their way to censor stuff like that now.
Nice review man. I actually feel nostalgia for WWECW in this summer/fall era. Yeah it was mostly a disaster but there was still stuff to enjoy about it and memorable moments in this early part for me.
