- How Far I Can Get On Bicycle is a movie from my travels through balcans or south east Europe. I came back from vacation in Malaysie knowing that I want to continue in travelling and getting to know other countries. This time more adventurous and with less expenses. I left University. I had almost no money and my parents told me that they will not support me financially if I am not studying anymore. With 30 euros on my account and another 30 on my account I found some jobs in Brno and started to make money for adventurous trip of my dreams. I was bored in my job and I spent most of the time dreaming about living the adventure like never before. How it all ended up and which problems I had to overcome you will see in a movie called How Far I Can Get On Bicycle?
Enjoy It!

Brother. I love it! I love your broke ass bike. your ridiculous amount of gear, your ability to capture the best and the worst of bicycle touring but most importantly your ability to demonstrate the greatest strength of all, keeping a smile on your face even through the most difficult and uncomfortable situations. Your optimistic attitude, fun personality and desire to live life to the fullest will mean that no matter which direction life heads you will be able to squeeze the most out of it and enjoy it as best you can. Thanks a great deal for inviting us along to join you on the trip and for being such an entertaining and inspiring host. And hats off to your dad!! Very impressed. If you ever find yourself in Alberta Canada you have friend waiting to greet you. Cheers, Buck
What a wonderful trip. Thanks for taking the time to film the adventure and share it with everyone else. Well done!
+Jeff Katzer Thanks a lot Jeff :-)
I really liked your way of documenting your trip because one really feels that it´s real, with all the ups and downs that appear on such a trip. Thanks a lot for sharing it!
Amazingly done. I started touring with my foldable bike (20" wheel) and I have already done "el Camino de Santiago" (850km), Andalucia (400km) and recently Mallorca (380km). Your video captures the best of bike travelling: freedom, friendship, determination, hardships, happiness and humanity. From my trips I learned that humans are awesome and we can connect with different cultures even when we dont speak the same language. This adventures get the best of us. It changed my life and I bet also changed yours and your family. Listening to your dad made me eyes teary... He is proud of you and also you pushed him to accomplished something he would have never though he could do. Well, thank you very much for such an amazing production and showing it to the world. Cheers!
I have watched my own son spend countless hours creating videos similar to this and know the effort it takes to make a great video like this one. Add to that the effort you took to get some of those moving shots........riding back and forth to place the camera, take the video, ride back to collect the camera, not to mention the thought process that it took to put this all together into such a wonderful story. WOW! This is a vintage video that your grandkids will someday enjoy watching!! One of the few truly great video's on utube. Great work and thanks for the entertainment.
This should be the greatest documentation of the decade.
What a fantastic job you did on this bicycle ride...You'll remember this all your life....The editing for something this long must have taken a huge amount of time....Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone.....
Great movie, great attitude, always smiling and positive, thanks for these 46 minutes of pure bliss...
This is definetly the best bike trip movie i've ever seen. I shared sam feelings with you. Wish you luck in your new adventures :)
Martin I would first like to congratulate you on your achievement' your documentation of your travels was absolutely fantastic I every way' I felt your pain and I laughed at your smiles' duct tape really does cure everything maybe we should wrap the world in it! From one cyclist to another! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us' see you on the road brother.
With much respect from England
David🚴
Incredible highs and some lows seems to be what cycle tours are all about.. and learning along the way. Great video thanks for taking the time to film, it must've been a pain in the ass at times!
super rad ride! ive been going round north america and making videos too. love the narration and the different angles for the shots!
keep the rubber side down,

Absolutly awesome! In the end, the bond you have made with your father, is very wonderful. What a great life experience!
Great trip! Thanks for sharing it. I am very glad your dad travelled the end part with you.
Hey man. This is a great video. Lot's of different angles, great storytelling, good editing. I usually get bored really quick by videos of this length but this one I enyoyed a lot. And thanks for the subtitles. I do videos like this too and I understand the work that goes into this. Setting up the camera, cycling through the image, running back, packing everything up ... And not to forget the editing ... GREAT JOB !!!!
leason learned: always have duktape within arms reach.
That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and so inspirational! Thank you for taking the time to record it
Thank you very much for your kind words Mossaleo ;) Hopefully I will visit Mexico one day :-)
So nice of you to acknowledge everyone that you meet on the road... Havent see anybody do this yet... By the way, thank you for visiting my country, Malaysia... Hope you enjoy your stay here...
This is just awesome! I want to cycle to Istambul from the UK and its good to see how friendly people are along the way. The only thing that terrifies me is all the dogs everywhere!! Nice that your dad could join for the end of your trip, I hope you have both been out on your bikes since :)
One of the best bicycle touring videos. I enjoyed it. Thanks
What a wonderful adventure! It's not hard to see why you had so many people helping you on your journey.
You're a very happy guy, you're joy made the whole video very pleasant to watch until the end!
I'm starting to prepare myself to trip on my bicycle and you inspired me even more, thanks!
Wow and what a great dad you have? The best of the best, haha! You said at the beginning of the video that people like to be surprised. You must have learned this from your dad :D
Thank you for sharing your experience! Take care!
Great video. Great story. I've seen a lot of travel videos, some professional, some amateur, but yours has something special that I can't quite put my finger on, which makes it stand out. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it.
Enjoyable video! You are obviously a sociable guy with a good sense of humor. I liked seeing the countryside that you biked through.
Hi Dad,
I'm so moved by your deeds. You are amongst the persons I admire in life. Respects!
Now I know what a dad's love is like, thanks :)
Hahaha! The signs in Hungary are very similar to the Norwegian signs, only that in Norway, a sign like that would mean "watch out for the bicycles". I was biking through Hungary last fall, and whenever I was pulled over by the police (which was often), I acted stupid and said "Sorry, in Norway, these means that you are allowed to bike here". Nice videos, keep doing more adventures! :D
That was awesome and wonderful to watch. Thank you for sharing your journey with the world. Watching from Brisbane, Australia.
This is an incredible trip. What spirit as well. Love it. Best touring video on RUclips ;) wonderful, man.
If you have a role of tape nobody can stop you , nice film man you're really inspiration.
I watched the whole movie. Showed me a different part of the world. Thank you
Awesome.....what an incredible journey. You're an inspiration to many, most of all, me. I will be going to sleep thinking of my own adventure like this and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for sharing this fantastic trip !!
Loved it!
Great adventure and great comments about the trip. I hope you will have more trips like that in the future.
Great trip Mr Superhappy :) Europe can be cold and rainy. Thanks for sharing, and yes we all love your tan lines ;)
...what a great trip...the wrap-up was touching, your dad was so proud! Thank you for sharing.
Thoroughly enjoyed your warts and all story of the adventure - thank you for sharing
Just epic!!:) Thank you for documenting and sharing:) Australia awaits you ! !:)
Wow. An awesome adventure dude. Great dad you have there. All the best !
You're a braver man than me for cycling through Istanbul. I was terrified of the traffic there when I was on the sidewalk!
Really enjoyed watching your movie. One of the few movies I actually finished watching! Thanks.
Great video Martin, I really enjoyed watching it...
I really enjoyed your film. Thanks for sharing it!
This is an amazing story line video. Loved every bit of it. Yes, I am inspired and after seeing this video, did my first cross country tour last month. Amazing story of humanity, dad and family love and above all, cycling as a way of living. Thanks and massive respect.
Amazing story, I'm always amazed how you can travel such a distance and see so many different countries and cultures. I grew up in Canada, we can ride for weeks or months in the same country. It makes for a more interesting trip. Great job you did! Congratulations.
That was an amazing journey...thanks for sharing and good luck.
Amazing video! You were always smiling throughout everything. Great to see that.
Also, I am glad that I din't skip the last part of the video. The part with your dad was one of the best. Heartwarming stuff :)
Inspired, have to get back on my bike again to do something like this!
Kudos, keep rocking.
Great effort, enjoyed the video of your adventure and you kept making me laugh with your antics! would love to do this myself one day. Scott, Dunstable England.

I love to bike also, except I generally enjoy biking around town. Your video was very inspiring and the footage from all those places was beautiful.
Fantastic video... enjoyed every minute of the journey
Love the movie, love your constant optimisim, your jokes and your natural affinity with dogs :) Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad you took this memorable trip!
my best video watched this day :) Merci Martin, hope to see you in the road ..
Just one question - why does this movie got only 22k views?
I thought the same thing
Because the world is full of fat lazy people who don't like cyclists because of our physique and the fact we can get to the same destination far cheaper and quicker .
Not many people will embrace the idea of spending their vacation all in one thing; plus - it's rather hard to take 2-3 months holydays from most employers.. :( That's why they never try...
And if they don't taste this kind'a cycling, they woudn't understand the happening in the video; thus so not much of an audience..
Good thing is - once someone hooks up, his future plans in life boil down to the next "super-long trip, which will be epic, I promise!" :)
Approaching 100k views!
@@SKBKER well i dont know about quicker but you're right about the jealousy and lazy part
Fantastic Euro adventure! And great camera footage too, but sometimes dangerous as well. You picked some beautiful video spots to take along your trip. And you're right, the camera is a pain in the a__, but well worth it in the end. A few questions:
1. How many km was the total trip?
2. How much time did it take from start to end?
3. Were you ever stopped by police anywhere?
4. Did police also help you meet the awesome guy that found your camera?
5. Did you need to show your passport anywhere?
6. Have you called or seen the girl again?
I will be looking forward for more of your adventures in the future, but most important, GO BACK TO SCHOOL. Listen to your Dad, he's awesome too.
Loved to watch your well made movie!!
I love this video. Have hitch hiked to many of same places during 2010 to 2011 from UK
Thanks - great video and trip you had the courage to ride.
You did a nice job with this video. Very interesting especially since I have never ridden in Europe.

That was really cool! Pretty impressive trip. :)
It was really awesome of your dad to come meet up with you. It must be nice to be able to spend some time together like that. Not many travel videos like that it seems.
Love the language by the way. I'm Danish so I obviously don't understand a word of it but it sounds really nice. Hehe Good thing you made the subtitles for it though. :p
Thank for a nice comment Gnawer :-) I was surprised myself when Daddy said he will come by bike. Well he wanted to see me but I told him that bike is the only way :-P Greetings to Denmark then!

Ahoj, v životě jsem nedal žádný komentář na RUclips. Až teď. Shlédl jsem spoustu videí o cestování na kole, ale řekl bych, že ten tvůj byl patrně ten úplně nejvíc nejpozitivnější. Máš můj respekt a tvůj taťka taky.

Your video is really great, you show moments that one usually doesn't record and which are typical for a bicycle journey. I loved it! And I know that doing such a video requires a lot of time and effort so you have my BIG respect.
If you have time to watch my bicycle trips videos I would be glad because I think you totally have the bicycle trip spirit :)
The one of the Danube has no sound anymore because RUclips blocked me but I will post it again in a few days.
