Thanks for reminding me I made an excellent choice in ordering the “vinyl flooring” as an option on my new Jeep order. 😊
This needs to be a factory option. Looks great.
You can order it. I’d love to see how the factory compares to the after market.
I know it's worth it AFTER it's done, but if I was doing this, my family would not want to be around me & choice words would be slipping a lot due to frustration of pulling things out & reinstalling with new liner / seats. That's a job right there. Great job though guys.
If you are going to do this install it may be a good time to plan the routing of wires for another project as well.
Hi Matt and Ryan, thank you so much for sharing this video. Really enjoyed it. Thank you.
Still the best mod I've done to my Jeep even though I left lots of scratched to my plastic and even my door sill. Wish a video like this had been available when I did mine. Oh well still worth it.
Have this installed on my JL. Great improvement from factory but fully waterproof is a bit of a stretch. If you get rain, yes it won’t soak like the OEM carpet, but water will definitely sip in under the armorlite. I was disappointed on the uncover gap between the center console and the seat where water will definitely can get under the carpet.
I have it and agree. Also the sides should come up higher. I am pretty disappointed and will probably just rhino line mine like I was gonna do in the first place.
One of my next upgrades! My biggest reason is my German Shepard gets hair EVERYWHERE!!! The one thing I wish they had is something to cover or replace the carpet on the rear of the back seat. Its the worst hair catcher right now and its a nightmare to clean. Do you have any suggestions?
I keep hearing waterproof. Its not water proof. I have this on my 2023 wrangler. Part over lap other parts in some areas which water can get in through, also water can get in through where bolt down the seats. To say it's water proof is a reach. Yes it does what it advertises like when cleaning it poor some water and clean but still have to be mindfull of how much water u pouring in, also good for quicker rain showers if you get caught without a top . I'm just saying their is a lot of areas water can still get in between the floor and the flooring, so really can't say that the jeep is being water proofed. With that being said it is defenatly the best flooring for a jeep now all I need is vinyl seat covers
FIRST!!!I was wondering where this video was. I thought I missed it somehow. I remember you saying you did both installations on the same day, and I thought I was losing my marbles.
Carpet should never be installed in Jeeps. They should come from the factory with rubberized flooring.
Awesome modification! I think the biggest benefit will be keeping dog fur from sticking to carpet. From start to finish, how much time do you estimate for completion?
I’ve owned 5 wranglers over the years, Bed lined most of them. This looks great For light rain but it’s not waterproof the rain will drain under the armor lite through the holes and seams especially in the rear bed. Just wondering if there’s a fix for that
This was perfect timing. Ordered the full kit last week for my 4D XR. Hope to get it installed next week if delivered in time.
Man I'm really curious to see how the extra padding affects sound. Armorlite says it deadens sound so I'm curious if it's more or less sound deadening than if someone added sound deadening versus the armorlite floor.
Do your feet slip on this when wet? My biggest reason for preferring the factory carpet/floor mats is slipping
Do you know if this system will be compatible with the Kraken air inflation system?
I'm wondering what happens to the water in scenarios where it would enter via the seat belt areas? Is there an additional drain what would allow it to dry up?
Hey Matt do you know if Armour lite sells just the rear Matt for the back
Waterproof means it will hold moisture if it gets behind it
Looks like it would come in handy. I'd look in to doing to my JL but I'm planning on doing a Goose Gear setup.
Question @dirtroadced if I've dynomated my whole jeep already, can I still use the Armorlite kit for extra protection and sound deadening?
I want this for mine. There's another youtuber (Georgia4Low?) that done the same for his JKUR a few years ago. That sealed the deal for me. I just have to decide between black or tan (my Jeep is Gobi).
Looks awesome. Never knew you could get the drain plugs in a different color (more awesome).
Maybe after I get the corrosion issue fixed would consider this. I def would be using the sound /thermal tape under this kit though. You should have resin coated the whole inside and just ran it with the blue color..lol
Love the armor lite stuff....just hate all the work, wish or hope they still offer the factory spray liner...was a very short time that you could build it in think like 1200 or 1400$ ish, not sure if still possible now? Not tried to build one in awhile...
How does it help with noise? Louder or more quiet?
What is under your tail light??
One of the first mods on my '23 JTM. So worth it and Armorlite offers a Military discount
Where can I older a set for my jeep?
It looks really good!
does this also work as sound deadening or only waterproofing?
👍
Looks great! Look forward to a long term review on these.
there is the install on Matt’s- nice. Thanks guys!
Are you guys going to Wildwood NJ Jeep invasion?? Would love to meet you guys there!!
We will be there
Looking forward to and dreading this install lol
Always my first upgrade
I like it!
