  • Here's a 60-inch Hampton Bay industrial fan that I got from Habitat Restore. It's very powerful and extremely heavy duty (for industrial use). This is an interesting fan and I like it a lot.
If you know more about Hampton Bay industrial fans, please comment. Thanks. Enjoy!
Note that the estimate of "30,000 CFM" was completely inaccurate. The fan actually moves approximately 10,000.

Yes I would. Most Hampton Bay fans made by Power Max (this one included) were pretty good...

Those blades look metal, but I think they are plastic?

Why did they have to take them down? They could have kept them!

I've seen these in person before, a local ice cream shop has 3 of these, and they seem quite powerful! The data for this fan is contradictory on the Home Depot website. In the product overview, it lists the motor as 185 RPM and 9,630 CFM. Then in the same section, it lists the motor as 258 RPM (which seems more reasonable) and only 9,600 CFM. In the specifications page, it lists it as 238 RPM and 9,600 CFM again. What a disaster! Whoever edited this page must not work with numbers on a regular basis. The motor size is consistently 188 X 18 MM. I recall the CFM rating being surprisingly low somewhere around 12,000, which even then still seems low. I would have guessed around the same you did.

My God! That is probably one of the worst examples I've seen of Home Depot giving us "lottery numbers" for specifications. The Wellston is another model where there about three different CFM rating listed (one under "Specifications," one in the instructions and yet another on the physical box). Since Home Depot used both King Of fans and PowerMax the make their Industrial, my theory is that all these specifications are correct, however they are from different manufacturers. The air flow on older versions is notably more air than the newer ones.

What does God have to do with the specifications? I don't think He wrote them... Its no surprise to me that the older versions move more air. I'm just surprised they can't manage to get some basic facts together on their site.

Yes, indeed they did. Those however were made by SMC...
