Just got my first PS5 today. Went with the God of War: Ragnorok Edition for $559.99 came out to $596.99 with tax, at my local Game Stop. First time holding and playing with the PS5 controller. The way the controller sits in your hand is so much more comfortable. It's a little more narrow in some areas, and a little more beefy in other areas which helps a lot. Whether or not it weighs more or less than the PS4 controller I'm not sure, but it definitely feels lighter due to how the weight is distributed. I bought this new PS5 console today because my PS4 started overheating and shutting off, only during gameplay. I transferred 2K23 to my external hard drive (the only game I had been playing on PS4 due to stick drift within months after buying a new controller, three times in a row. After recovering and changing my password in order to log in to PSN, I set up both consoles, made sure both were connected to the internet, and transferred all my data for 2K23 from the PS4 to my new PS5. The initial set up and update for the first start up on the PS5 went so smoothly and quickly, as well as the data transfer. I was shocked at how well and how quick everything went. I had a few worried before hand about being able to sign into my PSN on the new PS5, and was also dreading the data transfer due to the fact in the past any type of attempt to do anything this advanced with my consoles has always ended in a failed attempt due to internet issues or the console itself. With the PS5's backward compatibility to transfer and play all your PS4 games without losing your data, it was a no brainer to finally buy the PS5. Anyone worried about upgrading for the reasons I mentioned, just pull the trigger and buy a new PS5 you won't regret it. The overall layout on the PS5 and the load times are so much faster. My PS4 games that would take seconds to recognize every button you press, are now lightning fast. What I'm trying to say, is even if you plan on continuing to play and grind your current-gen PS4 games, buy a PS5 and play your PS4 games on the PS5. I can not tell you how much I wish I got one sooner. I was honestly looking at buying another PS4 assuming a refurbished or pre owned one would be $150 max, but was shocked when I saw the $250-$300+ price tag on the PS4's plus tax! With the PS5 digital only version being only $600 with tax out the door, including the new God of War: Ragnorok it was a no brainer to just get the PS5. I've played the original Gif of War before and it's not my style of game, but still happy to have it in my collection none the less. Wish they would have had the Call of Duty Edition but hey beggars can't be choosers.

Try recording something to the dual sense mic and then split the audio into 2 mono tracks and mix them together with one of them being phase inverted ... this should give you an idea of how the noise cancellation works

Dude I love that thumbnail the blue outline on the controller making it seem like it's popping out and your face very slightly blurred to make the controllers standout from you
Idk, I love the feel of the ps4 controller. Its gonna be hard to find something better. Also, that thumb stick groove on the 5 is gonna wear off reallllllll quick
Definitely going to last longer than the ds4 thumb sticks
When holding the ps4 controller i notices my pinky didn't grab onto anything. Most of us PS players have been there from the start. We're all in out mid 20s to mid 30s now with bigger hands
Yea 6 months of cod my ds4 thumb sticks pads were off. Might use some kontrol freaks for more height and extra protection from wear n tear
You where the only one that said anything about the curvature and the buttons 👍🏼
Today, first look at the victim.
Tomorrow, evisceration.
You got me 👍🏻
The grips from the side look like bananas, 10/10 controller
“It has a very pronounced curve” Ha, that’s what she said
😏
Honestly when you held the controller up to your face the mic sounded really good for what it is
I’m going to use that PS5 remote to watch the mandalorian on Disney+ and to watch spawn wave on RUclips 👌
Nah, no Dolby Vision on PS5 to get the best out of The Mandalorian.
Yeah ... the disappointing thing about it is that these app labels are already on the buttons ... would been better to have them blank and assignable to the apps you like to use on them
Might actually end up just using my TV remote like I always did on my PS3 Slim and PS4 Pro
You can do that with a smart TV and get Dolby Atoms as well.
Finally a big boy controller
I have big hands most controllers didn't feel comfortable hope this one does.
Me too. Ps3 controller was so uncomfortable to use. I got the ps5 controller a couple days ago and its very comfortable
I'm getting the media remote camera an headset.... an the headset is now sold out again at bestbuy canada lol
I wanna get that dual sense charger but its sold out everywhere😔
@@Mosh241 canada amazon has them
I'm keep trying to get the headset, but I'm finding it as hard to get as a PS5 preorder.
@@gaberdude3050 i kept checking all the stores over an over as much as I could it is very difficult
Ive been waiting for this
Don’t break the controller like Austin Evans did trying to tear it apart Lolol
Dual-sense controller looks like the best controller ever made.
I've noticed that circle seems to have the curvature that follows the controller
Like the 360 controller
With your impressions, I am picking up a Dualsense Controller and start my road to getting the PS5
Tomorrow we will finally be able to say PS5 NEXT WEEK!
Not in europe😢
The PS5 controller is quickly becoming my new favorite.
I don’t see how people like PS controllers they feel so crampy.. the one that I see myself liking is that boomerang prototype.
I have the dualsense, it's much better and less cramped compared to the dualshock.
i have had all PS consols but i just cannot stand the stick placement so have to use some other controller.
@Champion Person dawww poor dood.. hurt cause I don’t like PS controllers.. it’s alright my dude
@@turokforever007 *consoles, but
@Ryoshikari *controller. Top
*quality, IMO. And
I am glad the DS incorporated more of the boomerang controller design without really making it visible.
I really don’t like the Dual Shock 4. It feels like a toy compared to the xbone controller. Really hoping this one feels better in the hands
How does it feel like a toy when you still have to put batteries in the Xbox controllers? You figure it would be the other way around. Well at least for me it is.
@@PostmortemGamingStudio I think he means the feel of the plastic, the Xbox controller is more textured and less slippy.
@@PostmortemGamingStudio He is obviously talking about how it feels in the hands. Stop being easily triggered.
@@nyikomaswanganyi5983 Not triggered lol I still put batteries in my daughters toys. Stop getting triggered over my comment. It's 2020 no need for batteries in the controllers anymore.
@@PostmortemGamingStudio that's why you have the option to use batteries or not. It's better that way
Bit hollow sound in the controller mic but better than I expected.
Until you said you were taking it apart tomorrow I thought you went soft on us....first the Series X and now this??
I’m joking, I understand why he didn’t take the Xbox apart
This thing looks so friggin COMFY!!! Like, I fell in love with the DualShock 4 when I got my PS4, and I’m SOOOOOO ready to have that feeling again. I am so sad that I won’t be getting a PS5 at launch 😭
I’ve also come around on the design of the DualSense, to the point where the PS4 controller just kinda looks a little goofy. It is still a great controller but still. The DualSense looks amazing. I seriously hope I get this system for Christmas
The new ps5 controller is garbage. The most uncomfortable controller I've ever used. Very disappointed with the controller. It's ruined my hole ps5 experience.
So, what do you recommend?
@@reianae.smiley8573 That they let us use our dualshock 4 controllers for ps5 games.
@@deathmetalfarmer YES
I never was bothered by the light bar on the DualShock 4. The battery capacity didn't bother me either.
I'm way more bothered with PS Store Refund Policy, or more like the lack of.
Lol, Lol, Lol, he said Cross 😸(In My Butt-Head voice)
Every time I hear "mushy" I get a flashback to the original 3ds
Bad battery life, guaranteed.
Really fat up with controllers dying on me. AA rechargeable’s for the win!
Batteries are better in every way
The battery is considerably bigger while the lightbar is much smaller so you might be surprised.
Usb C fast charging 100% in like 15 min guys
Jon the gaming homie strikes again with another great video full of informations for us giggity gaming addicts! Woooo!!!
I love ya Jon! And the community you’ve built around gaming!
Its been a little but since ive been able to watch a buncha youtube stuff.. but i are here nao! Weeee!!!
🤘🏻😜
Whoa I'm really surprised how well that microphone sounded. It's a lot better than many headphones and earplugs I've owned.
Got my dualsense shipped can't wait till it arrives tuesday!!!
My TV is the minitor for my workstation and my entertainment center. So when I'm rendering I switch over to the PS4 to play or watch movies. Loving the media controller. Was super annoying to turn my PS4 controller off constantly when watching videos like this!! To avoid having the controller battery die. Happy Halloween!!
If you ignore the black part of the controller, it looks like the ps3 boomerang controller, way more chunky though
Teardown incoming 🔥
I loved this video in particular, keep it up with the great work!
I'm happy to hear that the Dualsense is much better than the D4. Every time I used the D4 I felt like I was playing with a baby controller
Seriously having Big hands most controllers dont feel that comfortable.
@@one_up907 The only controllers I've found comfortable are the 360s, X1s, and the Switch Pro controller. It's sucks when a controller can kinda ruin the experience lol
that makes no sense to me. PS4 controller was wider than the Xbox controller.
@@joi0001 The X1 controller is bigger though and has better stick placement. That's why it fit for me
@@ricochet628 nah, the stick placement is retarded on xbox. Symmetrical makes sense. I can't even claw play with the Xbox controller.
u snapped on this video man the dualsense mic is cool as hell ima miss the clicky face buttons tho
One of the first backward compat games I plan to play on PS5 is tearaway to see how much easyer it is to draw with the taller touchpad. The shortness of the touchpad made it almost impossible on PS4.
Gotta Love those PS5 Graphics!!! MegaMan never looked so good!!
This guy never smiles in his thumbnails🤣
the mic actually sounds really nice i did not expect that
Try recording something to the dual sense mic and then split the audio into 2 mono tracks and mix them together with one of them being phase inverted ... this should give you an idea of how the noise cancellation works
*then (sequence)
"Than" is for comparison.
*one of them
*inverted. This
*works.
Thumb sticks looks like OG Xbox One controller
He said teardown you earned my like today!
I hope by the time I get a ps5 next year they have some new colors, because white gets dirty really fast
You can already experience 3D audio in some games Sony has currently on the Playstation 4. Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone both offer 3D audio. It's a neat experience with some good headphones. You can hear all kinds of detailed sounds that otherwise you'd miss out on
As a person with above average hand size. I say that because the average male hand size is 7.6 inches. Mine are 8 inches with a 9 inch wing span. I’m hoping that controller is Xbox Duke controller comfortable. I say that because everyone complained that was “too big.” At 14 I thought it was great.
The mic sounds better than my laptops, it's not bad at all.
I preordered the headset and got it delivered yesterday. I don't usually play with a headset, but I wanted to experience this 3D audio with the console. I did play Spiderman on PS4 with them and it sounds really good, got all the sounds of New York in really good quality, not bad.
Got one yesterday, best controller hands down
The dualsense controller handle looks like a BANANA.
They obviously did the 2 tone color scheme to brute force the legacy Dual Shock aesthetic. It's almost laughable how they've implemented the white portion to suggest the old shape.
I can't wait to use this controller. I'm stoked bigtime.
I absolutely love this new controller already. Biggest problem I have with dual shock is that I can’t play any action game when others are sleeping. The noise those buttons making is really annoying. At least for my wife 😅.
I picked up the duelsense controller. It’s a really nice controller. It fits perfectly in my hand:)
