This episode showed Jax more neutral side, he’s usually rude and disrespectful. But when he works at a normal job, he starts to get more neutral. Of course he’s still rude, but him talking to pomni was a side of him we haven’t seen before, it’s clear he’s exhausted on the inside of this persona. But it’s the only think that keeps him sane and from not going crazy. At the end he’s clearly upset and exhausted, but this is only when he’s alone. he can’t be vulnerable around the others.
3:56 Usually, in this sort of scene, the character reaction would be screaming and asking for help. The fact that Jax reaction was to make sure that no one know just prove that he's more scared of showing his true feeling than being tortured ☹️ (i know he had it coming for being a jerk to Gangle through out the show, but still)
3:59 if you look closely then you can see jax's eyes moving rapidly, This is the first moment in the show Jax has genuinely felt worried for whats gonna happen
I love how Pomni pauses a moment with a mix of confusion and maybe concern after Jax gave her a normal "How you doin" instead of being antagonized or made fun of
kovach has gotten a lot better at voicing jax. like in the pilot he sounded kinda obnoxious but here he gives him a slightly more aggressive tone and he just overall got better at voicing him
“Nobody can see this right?” As soon as he said that, it almost made me feel like he’s scared to be seen as vulnerable in a world like this or outside so he acts the way he does in a way? Or he is just embarrassed if someone saw him in that way in general
Its interesting than in an episode so focused on masks we get such a focus on Jax as the secondary character. The way his face dropped when he got outside and his frantic "no- no one else can see this, right?" when hes pulled into the other room. Theres such a clear storytelling beat of his asshole persona being a mask and we especially see it when after all the torture hes so shaken he forgets to put his front up and genuinely asks pomni how she is. I'm so curious to learn more about him and his backstory.
I think I’m starting to understand Jax. He feels powerless in the circus, and he derails adventures on purpose to feel a sense of control. He bullies the other humans because he knows that no matter what happens, they won’t die and everything will be back to normal at the end of the adventure. In this episode, he loses all of his coping mechanisms. Rebellion has consequences now. Ragatha is high on stupid sauce. Zooble is too beaten down to trade barbs. Gangle is in the middle of a manic episode. Even just complaining about stuff and being honestly apathetic got him locked in the training room. Jax genuinely tries to make a real connection with Pomni because solidarity is the only foundation he has left to look for. He doesn’t even retract his vulnerability when Pomni rejects him. He just continues to share his feelings and be polite with Pomni. I think that Pomni had a real chance to forge a genuine bond with Jax. A bond based on honesty and solidarity, even if they don’t like each other. A hole in his armor that Pomni could use to make him chill out later. But Jax didn’t get what he was looking for, because he had already burned that bridge. Jax left the offer on the table, though, and I hope Pomni takes it when Jax gets his own episode. I’ll understand if she doesn’t, but I’ll still find it tragic.
Notably he is less of a jerk in this episode although that is not entirely out of his own choice. However he does seem to be telling the truth for once when he says that he didn’t mean to break Gangle’s mask. Since he seems genuinely stunned when accused of doing it on purpose.
My favorite ones are “I’m fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people.” and “I’m so unbelievably disappointed right now….”
These past two episodes Jax has been showing his more genuine, non-jerky side, but unfortunately, I’m confident that this is the calm before the storm, and when we get an episode dedicated to him, he will do something that will cause a higher uproar and make people hate him more than they hated his personality in episode 2
I could be wrong but this might be a spoiler so *BE WARNED* The next episode is going to be based on Ragatha and then afterwards Jax. Gooseworkx said in the past that she apologizes to the bunny doll shippers (which personally I am lol), which I think means something bad might happen to either of them. Some fans have theories that Jax might cause Ragatha to abstract or go insane in some way because of this and I think it’s plausible. If Ragatha does abstract from Jax there will most definitely be an uproar (which I didn’t understand when episode 2 came out cause I think it made Jax funnier :3 and to those who accused gooseworx of retconning him HE WAS WRITTEN TO BE A JERK! THAT WAS VERY CLEAR! AND JUST BECAUSE YOUR LITTLE “Oh he can change he’s totally not being mean 💖😊” HEADCANNONS DIDN’T COME TRUE DOESN’T MEAN YOU GET TO ACCUSE THE CREATOR OF REWRITING A CHARACTER INTO A BAD ONE WHEN HE CLEARLY WAS BAD FROM THE START!!!!!!!!) sorry if I rambled on or anything lol 😅 I’m just a VERY HUGE fan of TADC. Hope you have a good day! ❤
i once saw a video about banned torture methods (dont ask) and one of them was making someone sit in a dark room with a (normally white) all-brightness-on screen at full volume. thats all i could think about after seeing episode 4 when gangle does that to jax but gangle probably didn't know that so no hate on her
You know, even under the concept there might have been a punishment, the fact Jax stayed his ENTIRE SHIFT (even though he hated it) actually makes me respect him a little.
So, I have these theories that might or might not be true. Theory 1: I honestly think Jax and Ragatha might be siblings. A little brother, big sister type. My theory is that Ragatha possibly followed Jax into the digital circus right after he went in to try and get him out but got stuck too. Throughout the course of the show, they have been seen to really banter and quarrel like typical siblings do. Plus, when Ragatha said “I want to hate you, but I don’t want you to hate me…” It sounds like some type of thing an older sibling would say to their younger sibling knowing the situation they are in. Like when they are made to have to take care the younger one and all of the push back they get from the younger sibling just makes them explode at one point. I swear to all the delicious cheese on earth, there is something familial about them. I even noticed it in the pilot, maybe it’s just a coincidence but when Jax said he had the master key to everyone’s room and ask Ragatha if she didn’t mind centipedes in her room, her reaction was solid older sister behavior. Especially when she said “Jax, you know that’s literally like my one only fear why would you do that?!” It just screams he’s my little brother, and he’s driving me insane. Theory 2: I think Jax has intense escapism. My reasoning is because, throughout the episodes, Jax is cool with the wacky adventures because he knows it won’t affect anyone and why should he care since he’s in a virtual world anyway. But I definitely noticed in episode 2, his personality takes a huge change. He was expecting all of these extravagant characters and tasks to happen, but when it became lackluster, he developed a disappointing sense of purpose. Yet, he still committed to the game. It’s like he wants the adventures to be crazy and violence filled because he doesn’t want to leave. There is clearly something in the real world he’s trying to avoid. Like at the end of episode 2, notice how when Zooble says everything is ready for Kaufmo’s funeral, his face is sad but then turns frustrated, and then he walks away. Death apparently triggers or affects Jax’s to the point where he doesn’t want to deal with it. So he just avoids it. In episode 3, and this is just a hunch, maybe the reason why Ragatha and Gangle(mainly Ragatha) tied Jax up could be because she( as his potential older sister) didn’t want him going through the scary door and risk his mental health when might have potentially come across the angel and the decaying body. I think she was just protecting him in the end. And finally, the fourth episode. Jax gave me the most deep view of his escapism condition. He was cool with goofing around until Gangle started issuing out warnings and threats of punishment. He completely shaped up as if he’d been through that type of situation before. He still committed to the adventure, but you could tell he had been in that condition there before. As if he was in the real world. And it really drained him. Notice how he did what was asked and not bother anyone else. He didn’t want anyone to get in trouble because of him. So he did the grunt work, griped a little, and then clocked out. I’m telling you, there is definitely a connection between him, Ragatha, and the real world. Final thoughts: I know this might be a bit crazy but I really do think that there was something sibling wise going on between Jax and Ragatha. I think that maybe in the real world, they both live together, and it might potentially just be them because their parents could have passed away, and Ragatha had to step and be there for Jax(potentially). Also, I think that because Jax was so fed up with his life he just wanted to escape to a world where nothing you do has consequences and things can be as wacky as ever without anyone being affected much. No seriousness, no death, no jobs, bills, health, and the reality of existing just vanishes. That’s why I think Jax did it. Why he purchased the headset and is trying to stay there. Running and avoiding his problems is what he feels is best. So why not into a virtual reality world. With no chance of escaping. That’s just my thoughts on it 😅

Ragatha may want someone to flirt with her, but probably doesn’t want any of the circus crew members to initiate because she’s not attracted to any of them; it could also just be a joke Ragatha hates Jax because he’s a nuisance and annoys her, but her not wanting him to hate her could just be because she doesn’t want anyone disliking her since she seems like a people pleaser And finally the Pomni and Gummigoo interactions is less romance and instead just seeing someone you cared for return but they have memory loss and don’t remember you. 0:05 no joke I think he’s actually being genuine this time. Just his tone of voice sounds more sincere this time around like he actually feels bad about breaking the comedy mask.
You can see his head tilt up with closed eyes toward the ceiling, and opening as if to see how far the ball went with a grin. Then when he doesn’t see it, and looks down to see what actually happened, his grin drops. Sooo, yea I’m sure he was genuine, but he didn’t want to apologize for it. .3.
if you look at it youd notice that like jax is trying to get someone's attention like− yall know that everyone in the circus hates jax right, but hes still starting up conversations to them, YALL SEE THE VISION RIGHT?!!? I BELIEVE HES LOOKING FOR ATTENTION (i meant this NOT in a bad way)
Did anyone else notice how after Jax figured out there were real consequences to his actions, and started acting normal, his eyes weren’t so…cartoonish? Like-his pupils weren’t as big? Idk. He looked more like a normal person. I might be looking into it but they even kinda further prove that point when he’s walking to his car, where he’s all cartoonish and smiley and then slumps into a more normal expression. At first I thought the eye thing was when he was angry or upset, which I still think is the case, but idk. Maybe it’s also normal for him? Idk. I think I’m over-analyzing things again lol
Prediction: think next will be Jax. And from the WAKE UP POMNI video, where Caine Accidentally shows a Sports stadium, I think He will Fail for once (his karma). I think during that next episode, He will Slack off/Lose, And then Pomni comes in and yeah... I think hes gonna Be The next targeted person. And then Ragatha. Or vice versa.
@@TotaldramaisGreat_924 I don’t remember which platform they said this, but they said episode 5 would be Ragatha’s episode while Jax’s would be the 6th, the rest are unlabeled.
I have a theory that everyone in the circus is dead, which isn’t an unpopular theory ikkk, but I think this episode shows not only how gangle died, but also how jax died. I’m assuming gangle offed herself by jumping into oncoming traffic, and jax probably died by getting murdered at his minimum wage job at a McDonald’s or something in one of the back rooms. I think him being forced in the back by gangle and basically getting tied up and whatever else she did to him reminded him of his trauma. Him asking if anyone could see him probably refers to some fear he might have of being vulnerable, especially to the other circus members. He’s def still a jerk but I think he realised that gangle or rly anyone else actually has some power over him if they knew he had trauma (maybe he thinks they’ll use it against him) so he’ll probably be nicer from now on. I like this story for jax and even if it isn’t canon I might still just hc it bc it kinda makes sense.
He actually did break the fourth wall with the unicorn horn line due to it being one of Goose’s little mini comics, and that’s why Pomni was like “who said anything about a unicorn horn?”
Why do I wanna hug him and rub his head after seeing him watch Gangle’s video?

You can see his head tilt up with closed eyes toward the ceiling, and opening as if to see how far the ball went with a grin. Then when he doesn’t see it, and looks down to see what actually happened, his grin drops.
Sooo, yea I’m sure he was genuine, but he didn’t want to apologize for it. .3.
@@irkenpony17 Wait a minute… you’re right-
if you look at it youd notice that like jax is trying to get someone's attention like− yall know that everyone in the circus hates jax right, but hes still starting up conversations to them, YALL SEE THE VISION RIGHT?!!? I BELIEVE HES LOOKING FOR ATTENTION (i meant this NOT in a bad way)
I really liked jax in this episode
i hate him but nice to know a lot of people love him
Did anyone else notice how after Jax figured out there were real consequences to his actions, and started acting normal, his eyes weren’t so…cartoonish? Like-his pupils weren’t as big?
Idk.
He looked more like a normal person.
I might be looking into it but they even kinda further prove that point when he’s walking to his car, where he’s all cartoonish and smiley and then slumps into a more normal expression.
At first I thought the eye thing was when he was angry or upset, which I still think is the case, but idk. Maybe it’s also normal for him?
Idk. I think I’m over-analyzing things again lol
The title matches my view on Jax exactly.
DUDE WE JUST GOT SOME DETAIL ABOUT GAGLE 1:24.
Don’t forget that part where she went on a rant about wanting to make her own webcomic before life got in the way!
Prediction:
think next will be Jax.
The next episode is gonna focus on Ragatha
@ is that Ur Prediction? Or is it true? Because Im Very busy and i never go onto The deep side at times.
@@TotaldramaisGreat_924 I don’t remember which platform they said this, but they said episode 5 would be Ragatha’s episode while Jax’s would be the 6th, the rest are unlabeled.
@ ah Ok
Same, same, I love jax too
He's so funny I love him
did anyone notice that his name tag says i don't care
He looked so traumatized lmao 🤣
JAX VOICE HOT AF
5:32 どう考えても車の配置がおかしい
4:53 what on earth was that whole scene??? i’m so confused rn
Ragatha got high. 😂
stupid sauce go stupid
@ no i meant the one of jax talking to pomni
Pomni seemed confused since Jax wasn’t being a jerk to her for once
@ ik it was so funny to me cuz she was just like “is he ok..??”😂
Sophie, imagine Jax in a angel dust outfit. that would be hot😁💜💛❤️
I’m watching this at 3:00 am
hate when i accidentally drop my friend in the deep fryer
1:12 For me
0:10 do yall think this was an accident or was he being sarcastic?
If you pay attention to when he hits the ball, his head lifts up like he’s looking up, so I think he actually didn’t mean it.
@sophiethetabby yeah I agree he actually seemed like he was sorry for gangle, but when ragatha told him off, he went back to his cocky persona
Ngl i like jax too even tho his a jerk
Only you jaxxyy!
4:23 even when he's a blob he's fine😍😍😍 /j
Me to I love Jax he’s my fav
*a jerk 🤓 jerk doesn’t start with a vowel.
Not be that person but I liked seeing Jax getting humbled
I hate Jax so much
I LOVE THE PART WHEN JAX WAS IN THE CREEPY ROOM CAUSE IT REMINDS ME OF THE TIME MY BULLY ALMOST DIED
I Like Jax He's A Lot More Cooler and Less Jerky
4:48 😂😂😂
As someone who thinks Jax has needed some discipline for a looooonnng time now:😁👍👍
Where is the fourth wall break 😭
"No one can see this right...?"
He actually did break the fourth wall with the unicorn horn line due to it being one of Goose’s little mini comics, and that’s why Pomni was like “who said anything about a unicorn horn?”
@ImperialTheRainWing huh… usually its more noticeable so i didnt know
Also right before his “training”(right before he gets dragged town that hallway to watch the video) he makes eye contact with the camera ( 3:38 )
I think he stopped cause zooble told him too
Nice
Lmfao
He did a typo on the title of this episode cause he said an jerk and it would be spelled a jerk
What do jax mean by unicorn horn 0:27
What? You don't know about Pomni's iconic unicorn horn (the unicorn horn is a reference to one of Gooseworx's comics)
Did you guys know theres a DHMIS reference in ep 4?
I got those vibes!
@@KeeperOfUntoldDreamssamee
Something between jax and pomni?~😏😏
NAH 💀
Umm no
They had one regular short conversation wtf are you talking about
I do hope he gets more unhinged. After episode 2 he got kinda boring tbh
Can you help Jax
