  • Day 1 finds the team from Elk101.com hunting for elk in a brand new area in Wyoming. Amidst all the uncertainty and apprehension that this hunt brought with it, by the end of the first full day of hunting, the guys find themselves in the middle of an insane "buglefest".
[In September 2016, the crew from Elk101.com teamed up with Sitka Gear, YETI Coolers, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to film "The Linguists", an incredible film about the history of modern day elk calling. Follow along on the "behind-the-scenes", day-by-day video series of their incredible elk hunt in Wyoming.]
**A huge thank you to Ben Potter and the team at Cana Outdoors for filming and producing the original "Linguists" film, as well as putting together this Day-by-Day series. For more info about Cana Outdoors, visit: www.canaoutdoor... **

Can’t believe I just stumbled onto the Rough cut series now...nothing I like more than practicing my calling along with Corey and Dirk during a good video with lots of action...other than hunting myself of course haha...thank you!

Love watching you guys chase elk! I went to Colorado this year for the last two weeks of archery season. Hiked over 100 miles and never got a shot. But we did get on some bulls just couldn’t close the deal. Still had the time of my life! I studied your videos for months before my hunt. You put out so much great information! Thanks Corey for sharing your knowledge!

Excellent footage and it really taught me something about changing bugle types depending on similar situations I should have done the same thing. Great stuff Corey, Donnie, and Dirk!

This is one of the coolest hunts I’ve seen you guys do. Must have been incredible being around all of those elk. Not something that happens every day.

That fog is crazy isn't it? I have never hunted the Oregon coast during regular archery season but have laster in the year for black tail. Pretty extreme contrast from Eastern Orogon. Loving your guys take on it so far.

How many elk do you think are capable of swimming across the Missouri River? Maybe they sometime walk across a bridge. Southwest Iowa does not get elk very often.

There was 1 elk that crossed the Missouri River that a hunter shot in Iowa and he got fined. He said he thought it was a deer. lol.
