Wow !!❤ your video especially the way you showed different stages of the growth of the seedlings 🌱 to fully mature plants 😊. Great job team. You need water boots and proper cutting tools. I also luv the way the area was cleared and you had enough trees for shades when the sun get too hot 🥵.I wish you guys all the best of luck with your gardening journey . 🙏🏼
Lay the plastic first, then punch holes in the plastic for the plants to be transplanted !. Soak soil before laying plastic, and leave covered for a week or so, before planting...
You should lay the plastic down first. Then use a torch burner to burn the hole in the plastic for each plant and then plant the plants. It will be easier and you will have less casualties.
@@natureinspiredoh I'm a beginner myself. Don't know much about scotch bonnet. With seasoning and bell peppers, pruning, that is removing all leaves and suckers below the fruit bearing cluster or the first fork in the plant, is highly recommended to increase fruit size, reduce susceptibility to pests and increase airflow among plants.
@@natureinspiredoh I've had success with not pruning the plants. I don't see much difference in the size of the fruits. Just my thoughts. Maybe you can experiment and see how it works for you.
Remember not to have person who smoke or are in contact with tobacco to be around your plants. Tobacco mosaic virus can wipe you out. Keep going guys. Those peppers are huge
What do you do with the plastic once you no longer need it, you know if it is not disposed of well, it degrades the soil and gets into the sea etc and damage the wildlife.
I just called the phone number for Bodles Research station and the message said that the phone number is not registered. So how can I order the scotch bonnet seeds to come to the USA?

Aw man, I struggled to grow a few of these plants here in NJ….I need all the help I can get.
@@Ramakan What do you struggle with?
Install plastic mulching before transplanting that should help reduce shock on plants.
True. That's the plan going forward.
You need barrier crop maybe sweet corn around the field.
And keep doing the good work
Wow pepper farm look good were is this farm located,
St Catherine
Beautiful well done
Good day my way of doing this i do the plastic first and then we make the holds for the pepper
Yes. We learnt that the hard way. lol
loving the look

Use Quarter acre of the land do hydroponic farming , it takes more to start up but much more will be yeild

WOW, beautiful
Next time you place the plastic mulch before you plant, but great job 🙏
Thank you for that tip. We plan to explore that method on the next plot.
Nice 👍
Looking good
Love This ❤
why don't you mulch before planting?
It was an after thought but now we install the mulch before planting.
wow doing 9000 by self is legendary
We are humbled. Respect
that's beautiful. congrats. any reason why you didn't prune the plants?
Thanks for viewing. We didn't know much about it, but we are also here to learn. Any tips?

@@hamiltonstephen9692 Good day. We appreciate this and it's something we will definitely explore.
Sometimes pruning helps, give more foliage but plants can take ages to produce fruits.
@@natureinspiredoh I've had success with not pruning the plants. I don't see much difference in the size of the fruits. Just my thoughts. Maybe you can experiment and see how it works for you.
Could the plastic much go down before yhe plants came, cut the holes before the plants came and then insert the plants thru the hole?
Thanks. We will definitely be trying this method next time around.
I know you know by now you have to put down the plastic first then plant but that's a tip
Yes, we definitely know that now. lol

Rain water have medical values
True
Just asking why didn't u plastic the area first
Great video...
How wide are these?
Thanks for the support. The peppers are planted on average 1.5 to 2 feet apart on the furrow but 3 feet across the furrow.
What do you do with the plastic once you no longer need it, you know if it is not disposed of well, it degrades the soil and gets into the sea etc and damage the wildlife.
Thanks for the insight. It will be utilized for the next crop.
I and I survive❤
How much did everything cost, except the seedlings?
Check out the cost breakdown video that we did on our channel.

Next time you put your plastic down 1st and then you cut the hole and planted it would be much easier.
Thanks for that. It's the method we will be doing at our next plot.
Plastic mulch is a painnnn... What is the approx weekly yield per acre?
The pain is real. We have not commenced reaping as yet, however we are praying for a great crop.
❤️
Are these the traditional variety of Jamaica scotch bonnet, the ones that was around at least 60, 70 years ago?
It is the Grade A scotch bonnet that is currently researched and distributed by Bodles Research. They sell the seeds as well as the seedlings.
one mistake I think you did was to laying the plastic after the planting the peppers i think it would be great if you did plants after
Thanks for that. We will be exploring that option at plot 3.
Curious, is applying the plastic mulch, before planting, an option?
Yes. We will be exploring that at our next plot.
How much pounds or how much pepper do you get per plant on average
On this plot, we were getting approximately 1/4 per tree each week.
How can i get some to buy?
Peppers? Or seedlings?
Why don't you guys put the plastic b4 planting
We plan to do that for the next plot. Keep watching and thanks for the support.
I just called the phone number for Bodles Research station and the message said that the phone number is not registered.
So how can I order the scotch bonnet seeds to come to the USA?
Contact us at 18763161591 and we will try to check with bodles for you.
Where you guys buy seeds?

Three feet across (furrows) and two feet apart (trees) and two rows of peppers two feet apart (trees) on the row.

Correct ion not fruit it is vegetable

peppers develop from a flower and contain seeds. that makes them fruits not vegetables.
