True Monogatari style would have someone start the conversation by filling an electric tea kettle as foreshadowing of what was about to happen cut between super close ups of them in back and forth dialogue. Also, you needed to photoshop in a lot more head tilt. Can only give this a 9/10 and a thumbs up.
I know I'm 1 year late, but I feel that I must point out that the cut needs to be faster. It's not a Monogatari anime if you dont need to rewind and try to pause between the cut to read what's actually being written in the novel.
it is a series that you can keep re-wachting over and over because there is so many happening that you get a sensory overload, i watch the entire series like 8 times and there are still things that surprise me if i watch it again after some time.
The Monogatari series is well known for using [color] Scenes (red scene, blue scene, green scene , etc) a lot throughout the show during conversations. It's an interesting way the Monogatari series uses [color] Scenes to add something visually interesting during a conversation. So I thought Pika's conversation could be edited to be like a Monogatari scene I suppose.
