Nobody gonna mention him being one of the most dynamic and interesting characters on House? Dude held his own with one of the best and most decorated actors on a great series
Facts
Facts
I'm always surprised that role isn't mentioned that much...he was a vital cog on that show and played off his dynamic opposite Hugh Laurie like a pro for years..I still re-watch that show every now and then...so good.
True!
Matthew Torres facts
His mother was my principal through my elementary and what an Amazing Academic Experience. She changed the dynamic of our school to something great being in a very rough neighborhood. Love you Bonnie Epps💙

This was a DOPE interview. Really enjoyed it. This man is a KING. And I wish more men acted and carried themselves this way.
All black men's are KINGS..
Women don't like/respect men like this... They like thugs.
You are easy to impress.
@Michael McMillan hear, hear...
Men do this Beautiful Sister but maybe You dont meet the right one lol but hows everything?
Nobody really pays attention to how much research Angela really be doing. She holds down these interviews forreal.
Ebony that’s actually a good point. I never even thought about it until I read your comment. You are right!!
Yes
That’s her job. She’s an actual journalist
She does but she goes into hiding when powerful men interview. Envy by far ask the most useless dumbest questions.
Real Talk

2pac trying to live out the character of bishop in real life is one of the biggest lies that ever spread about him. Bishop started to prey on his own homies. 2pac never turned on Digital Underground, he never turned on Thug Life or the Outlawz. But 2pac had no problem attacking those who he felt turned on him.
100
That's not what people are saying genius 🙄 they mean his attitude like his gang affiliating and his antics on deathrow not that he became the character and was following the damn character arch and alot of people who was around him pre deathrow did say he changed once he got with them so maybe it wasn't so much the movie but what he later went on to surround himself by
Very true.
Pac was a Gemini! You never knew which personality you were getting. The thug(social aware) or the more tone down apporach or in the Middle. Power to the people.
@@jayant1314 genius did somebody curse you out whats the dang problem instead of just responding in a respectful way, grown men wanna wait til they on they periods to start responding to standard comments, with attitude, i would to hear all of the names of the PAC haters who said he took the role as Bishop literal because thats what these haters have been saying
Juice, Higher Learning, The Wood...trying to figure out who been involved in more Hood classics.. Epps or Larenz Tate?
LOVE AND BASKETBALL! I forgot about that too! Legendary!
Deadly voyage!!!
Good question you gotta put Mekhi Phifer in that conversation too.
In too deep. I think Epps got it.
@killa mike, both their catalogs are deep. It's tough but I agree. Let's not forget Tate was in Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, Love Jones, The Inkwell, Why Do Fools Fall In Love
Higher Learning was my favorite Omar Epps movie. Low Key...I looked up to dude growing up.
HeroesNStuff yeah that was a good movie
HeroesNStuff There's still a lot of Michael Rappaports out there...

Omar Epps is officially on my list of top 10 favorite interviewees. He could have talked for another 5hrs... I would continue to sit in my car and listen.
Check him out on the IamRappaport podcast, good convo on there too. Him and Rappaport talk about their time on Higher Learning.
He seem like he an adult-married and all that. Dude is mad chill and level headed for having so much fame at an early age
CusWeAre u gotta be
One of the best interviews hands down...Black man that’s able to articulate himself and humble and of note...true icon!!!

K Swa more like 19
He himself said 17
i thought he was 19 or 20
The oldest one out of the 4 cast was Raheem, Raheem was 19 everyone else I believe were all 17 or 18. They would always make fun of Raheem for being the oldest.
He was seventeen years old
Q from juice, malik from higher learning, quincy mccall from love & basketball, jeff cole AKA “ you aint no cop j reid” from in too deep, mike or “big mike” as stacy would call him from the wood... just a couple of classic characters played by this man!
A true legend right here..
Lmao you ain’t a cop j Reid. LL was so hurt at that part, I felt sorry for the nigga
I just saw In Too Deep for the 1st time like 2 weeks ago. I liked LL's character. Pretty good movie.
He's a Doctor in 'House'.
First time felon was another classic bruh
I don't understand how that 29 year old didn't know who Omar Epps is lol. I'm 23 about to be 24 and I've seen just about all of Omar Epps's movies. Very underrated actor
When you call his name I was thinking about the dude from POWER... that kissed Bryounce'...why?... IDK
that moment DJ Envy talks about his car and Omar Epps just ignores him. 19:44

Before y'all say "Omar looks so good for his age" 45 is NOT old. At all.
willemdee thats cuz people see these white folk who look like walking beef jerky at 35. but black folk who take care of themselves stay shining!
I'm DONE! Walking beef jerky is SOOO accurate!!!!
Gary Phillips why yall always gotta bring race in to everything? thats the reason why racism will never end because of ppl like u smh
willemdee 45 is not old but he looks 30 thou.
Nah 45 is old, life is over by then
He is like the Redman of acting. The highest level of skills and never gets the credit he deserves.
Shaolin80000 * Couldn’t of said it better myself
Wow, I think this is my favorite interview...He's intelligent and self aware, humble etc ❤ Omar Epps
One of the best interviews I've seen..His MOM is truly the MVP! When we Mothers do it right, this is the instilled mentality of our children. I have that much more respect for this King.
I got mad respect for Omar Epps as a phenomenal actor and he taking on this mantle of responsible fatherhood. Responsible Black fatherhood is a salient issue that need to be discuss in the Black father. Being devoid of a father have a significant impact on a male and female psyche. Many of this young Black men are lost and need guidance from a mature father of Black man. And- definitely the adverse affect of not having a father have severely affected our young Black girls and ladies. Many are seeking male attention with no regards for moral or ethical standards. Sex, body image, and needy emotional attention compel women to settle for trifling immature men. I will purchase the book.
Louis Lark Chile , I'm trying to see when your book is being released !
every black man i know with kids takes care of them
The Truth Only naw it’s on the man to own up to his responsibilities
Tupac shakur was indeed a revolutionary
Omar Epps is very necessary! He’s such a great man, husband, father, friend, and actor! ❤️
This interview was excellent. He’s so humble and down to earth. Good to see this side of someone of his stature
He looks so youthful and his smile is amazing! I never knew his NY accent was so thick cause he rarely uses it acting. He is so dope.
Tee Tee right! I’m just now realizing his accent as well.

Its crazy because so many people my age look at Omar Epps the same way his generation looked at Sidney Poitier. This man is a legend walking.
Omar Epps is a very talented actor and I love his big eyes!
Envy: "I just bought a 88' BMW 325" ----that all I have to contribute to this interview, thanks

I was gonna say the same thing about the 696 🤦🏿♀️🤨🤷🏿♀️ STILL HERE FOR IT Sept2019 LOVE HIM!!!
Probably because people are tired of hearing black people only talk about bettering black people but white people are the racist ones. If white people talk about white people they are supremacist though. Just #FACTS stay "REALLY WOKE"
You always have a picture in your mind about celebrities who you like but Omar really impressed me humble well spoken and you can tell he's got some street in him, salute my brother!✊
He, Bokeem Woodbine, Adrien Brody, and Marlon Wayans were all at LaGuardia at the same time.
Royalty.
Bokeem Woodbine is so underrated.....
Legendary actor. Deserves more respect!
black god Well give it to him
I love interviews like these Omar Epps is a great actor and has put in the work. Not only does his work speak for him but the fact that his mother instilled in him what greatness is supposed be in spite of circumstances. She kept speaking King qualities in him...big ups Omar keep this going!!!
Respect to this man from Brooklyn. It's nice to see Omar talk. I feel a real connection in many was. God bless him and his family
Brooklyn in the houuuuuse
this was a really dope interview... his mom raise and enforced to him that he was a king and he grew up and married a black queen... we don't see many black men marry black women.. Its refreshing to hear him speak i like him so much more after this interview
Richard Chirino nah his wife is black
The vast majority of Black men I know have Black wives, myself included. This is a myth that needs to be dispelled.
Most black men marry black women more than 70% of the time
what I meant was most men in Hollywood
Nique at Nite well done you made it about race for no reasonx
Tupac will always be in our hearts RIP Bro Révolution for life...
Breakfast Club ~ I enjoy all of your interviews. The three of you work so well together. Please keep up the good work.
I’m showing this interview to a lot of pple . This touched on great topics and his journey !
Omar sounds very well spoken and educated. That's sooooo much better than mumble rap and that other street shit.
Great interview King👍🏾✌🏾
Business Man , did you forgot?
His Mom was a teacher.
Ben Macauley
...you knw? That important fact slipped my mind when I wrote that. frfr
That's was my "blond" moment..🤫
don't judge me...lol
what does today's rap have to do with a 45 year old actor?
DorianSucks word bro, get tired of seeing these generic ass comments, like nigga we get it, "You ain't fucking with new niggas they dumb."
Your comment reminds me of Chris Rocks "Bigger & Blacker" when he speaks about White folks saying to a young Black child, "You speak so well." Chris Rocks reply,"what he had a stroke the other day?"😀😀😀
Dude has an elevated clean power black man swag on movies
Ant Man it’s like all his movies connect to 😂😂
had a crush on him since Juice and Love & Basketball 😫
Relationships are a dialogue not a monoLo gue.....that was deep......great interview!!!
Juice is a classic
I think everyone in my generation should watch this. This interview was full of gems & reminders that I think we could all benefit from. A lot of us tend to gage our value & success based on social media, like Omar said. He said a lot of things I didn’t know I needed to hear. Interviews like this are my absolute favorite. So much knowledge was dropped.
Cheyenne Kali what year you was born I was born in 1988
i was born in 1990 and Tupac was and still is my idol, inspiration role model and legend. it was a special time in place in time and even now, Tupac FANS know wtf is up.. aint fame.. aint fortune.. its to make it through the struggle.. Rest In Peace xo
Legends never die
This has to be my Most Favorite interview, from any guest on the Show!!! This Man is definitely a King.....and I Love the fact that he's Intelligent and Humble. The way he speaks about his Mom's Life and influence. And how he speaks in forgiveness. My Sister Lives this Guy, and says my Oldest Son Favors him a lot. I have Mad Respect for him and his Craft!!!!!!!
This brother does not know how powerful he is......or maybe he does but does not wield it. Top 5 best Breakfast club interviews to date.

1 of the Realest interviews on the B.C. Salute to Omar he's a stand up guy.
This interview has soooo many lessons. I find Omar Epps to be such an inspiration and a vault of wisdom to success, being of service and healing. Can't wait to read his book!
This fine ass brotha has been acting since a young child; therefore, in the mess and microcosm of sinful Hollywood and maintained a sense of balance. You can see the positive influence from his mom and others in how he represents himself. This fine ass Black man is well-rounded and has not been isolated from his community. He is aware of current events and a force in our community. Good chocolate. Proud of his career success and his personal connection to his community.
A true black queen would love to meet his mother
Omar is the man much respect this dude don’t get enough credit ! He so talented and very intelligent cool guy much respect to him. He got that mad real juice!
Drea Love exactly
Facts
This was a great interview that just flowed naturally. You see the growth in him as a man... As a young black father it’s so important to stress these points to our kids... letting them know what truly being successful really means. Staying grounded, surrounding ourselves with genuinely great people that support you but still holds you accountable and vice versa. It touched on a lot of great points.
Such a great interview. This man is intelligent
"Success is achievement" Facts
Black don't crack. Omar looks great (only 45 years) & is well spoken. He's been in some classics but my favorite role was Jeff Cole (undercover cop) in In Too Deep with LL Cool J. Great interview !
Kras 4 you not 5-0 Jay Reed.lol
lol !!
"The Wood" is my fav from him..
Love all them hood movies but house MD is the Don and without Hugh Laurie and Omar epps it wouldn't have been close to the greatness it become.
