Okay for the third problem..... you could have assumed day's taken by A to finish work as 'x'. Question says A is twice as good as B ... means A will take lesser time to do that work than B . So day's taken by B will be 2x.
Then by rule of flip... 1/x+1/2x. =1/18.
Solve for x... that's it answer... woohoo.

+Shivani Sharma Yes LCM for 8 &10 is 40 But He took 80 for simplicity and could have chosen 160 if he wanted..it doesn't changes the answer..
The number should be multiple of 8 & 10 that's it.

    a=2b,in that case,1/2b+1/b=1/18,solving it,we get b=27.

thanks a lot,but one suggsition instead of using that we can solve by unitary method is simple.that
A'S can do in 8hrs,B's can do in 10hrs here let total work 40units (take lcm of 8,10)
in one day A can (40\8)
in one day B can (40\10) both can(40\8+40\10)=9
in one hour both can compleate 9 units total units then can compleatein (40\9)=4.5hours

Excellent method for explanation by you Sir, It's really awesome. But in last example of this video we can do something like 1/A+1/B=1/18, 1/2B+1/B=1/18, where B=6 days and A=2B because A is twise as B than A=2*6, A=12 days. Is it not correct method?
    Thank you very much Sir.

    • @AudieEnguito

Jakvan Bhoira absolutely wrong interpretation. If A is twice as B and B=6 days, then A should equal to 3 days because A is twice faster than B.

    Hi @aptitudeacademy
I really like your RUclips videos series.
I am so curious to know about how much time and efforts did you put to make this kind of videos?
What kind of tools do you use to record these videos?
Do you record and edit this video by ownself or do you hire some company to do that?
What kind of benefits do you get because of these videos?
Do you do this full time or do you do it when you have time on weekends?
How much time do you give daily to make these videos? do you make it at home or you went to some professional studio?
How much money did you spend on this and how much money do you generate from RUclips monetisation?
Is it good idea to make video and give it for FREE rather then writing a book?

      +Haritha Siripi Guys,you can approach by so-called "x-factor",i.e,let B is doing 1/x per day & so A is doing 2*(1/x)=2/x.So,(1/x)+(2/x)=1/18.From that,x=54.So,per day A is doing (2/x)=2/54=1/27.So,A'll do the whole work in 27 days.Hope it'll eliminates your confusion.

      ✈1/B(1+1/2)=1/18
      ✈1/B(3/2)=1/18
      ✈1/B=(1/18)*(2/3)
