I agree with you in everything, I'm 16 and I'm really happy that I can see more and more queer characters in media, Heartstopper really has that bubblegum almost 'too happy' feeling, but I loved that, I needed this positive show. I figured out my sexuality 3 years ago, I hated myself but some shows on netflix, the internet and my friend group helped me to accept myself, and I feel lucky to have these things as a queer teen. And one more thing I love about the show is that the cast members are really teenagers and they shown their skin mistakes, and didn't covered it with makeup, it told me that it's totally NORMAL to have pimples, and not a perfcet skin. I loved your video and your cute drawing, today I will draw my friends in a heartstopper style💙💛
Thanks for this video, Anna. I watched this show all in one sitting, and my sole regret is that I'll have to wait at least one more year to see Charlie, Nick and all of our favourite characters again. 🏳️🌈💘👬
Anna!!! The drawings were amazing you have an amazing talent!!! I also was very happy that the actors were relatively around the age of the characters in the books.
I love the drawing but I adore the discussion even more 🤍 I really like how you put yourself side by side & didn't just do a voiceover or something like that
Ahh thank you! And yes I can’t quite believe how much the tickets are 😅 I wish they could do a longer run with actually reasonable ticket prices because it’s such a good play and I think everyone should be able to see it!
so a little bit of a hot take, I have read all the webcomic and I'll be honest, for whatever reason the relationships to me don't feel wholly genuine to me (Ah I think around 7:50 ish might be this feeling in hindsight). That being said, I think the TV show does this better for me personally. I love the art style and I have much respect for Alice Oseman and the representation is so so important. Cute as heck drawing also :>
That’s really interesting you say that! I also felt that the romance was more impactful and felt more real in the tv show - there were moments that seemed much more significant onscreen. And thank you! 🥰
What are your thoughts on Heartstopper? Would you like to see more draw-with-me videos? Let me know! 💕
