- What is epistasis? This video explains that it is a form of gene interaction. It presents both its molecular basis and its genetic manifestation. It explains how to recognize recessive and dominant epistasis.
Finally, after read 2 books of genetics (only the epistasis chapter), many videos, help from colleagues, and even teacher's counseling... I understod everything with this video... THANK YOU!
Hey there, can u please recommend me those genetics reviews books please? I would really appreciate it.
I've watched this video for about 30 minutes cumulatively. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!

Please upload more videos
yeah i watched this video, still have no clue
i would recommend taking a page out of khan academy's book, and write and speak in sync. when words are appearing on the screen while you are talking, it gets hard to take it all in. this video would be better if you were in sync with your writing.
Great help thank you for saving me time.
Sir, I liked your video. Do you have any way that I can communicate with you (an email for example). I have other points I want to discuss with you about genetics. Thanks again.
Badria, my email is lcomai@ucdavis.edu. I will answer compatible with topic and time. Due to existing commitments and very limited free time, I cannot explain genetics to individuals by email. I welcome suggestions on how to improve these videos or on desirable genetic topics. --Genetics
Thank you, Sir. I have high hopes to get a high grade in my exam because of this.
TY
why is aaB_ , albino ? kindly explain, thank you
Both genes must have at least one upper case allele for the pigment to be made. Think of it as a pipe carrying water: if you break any segment (lower case homozygous) you fail to get water at the end. The genotype "aaB_" has a defective "A" gene: no pigment.
@@Genetics101 thank you
Your narration made me feel like I am at Hogwarts 😅
Thank you for this great video !
Is cryptomeria same as epistasis?
Cryptomery is a little-used term coined by Von Tschermak. It was used for latent traits that would emerge from certain crosses. With all respect for Von Tschermak, it is too undefined to be of any use.
