Hey Nic could you use flash powder as a lift charge obviously no where near as much as BP? Also is your lift charge granulated BP or just meal powder? Thanks keep the videos coming!
Use a longer dowel when you make the tubes, wrap the dowel a couple of times with plastic wrap. Afterward, remove the plastic wrap from the dowel, that will shrink its diameter down just enough so it fits easily into the tube. you can than use that same dowel for pressing the powder.
Use black powder coated rice hulls with some spanish booster an the results are suprising. Spanish booster is like flash but its potassium nitrate, potassium perchlorate, aluminum powder flake
The easiest is to make them yourself. But remember that it could explode when making it. I'm not responsible for anything that happens to you. Do it on your own risk.

Flash isn’t that bad. I’ve tested it’s resistance to shock, static, and flame, it’s very stable just don’t slam it with a hammer or put it in a fire. I handle it all the time, just don’t breath it in.
You can press it a little bit. I put a stick in the shell on top of the flash powder cearfully, no pessing, and use 2 meter stick and i tap the stick on the flash powder behind a door, the door is just enough open for the stick to fit. (The dor that leads outside so if it explodes it explodes outside) I hope you understand my terrible explanation

This was an awesome tut thanks! Have you ever made an Michael bay style explosion? Ex: ruclips.net/video/DBPYlJAeVGU/видео.html and if not do you know how they made them. Many people compare Michael bay explosions to fireworks and I can see why. Also they look really cool.
Lots of stupid questions in these comments. You do not want to mess with flash if you don't even know the basics of fireworks. Please do your research people.
It is safe when you have free fuse not attached to any salute, cracker etc yet. If it gets ignited this way will not do any harm. "Safe" in pyrotechnics means a risk at acceptable level. Cutting fuse was safe in this case :)
I am sorry but I must object. in the beginning of your video, you stated that you could make this with things you have lying around your house. Most of what I see you have is not just laying around anybody's house, and that includes the flash powder. You shouldn't make it seem like this is an easy project for anybody to tackle. These are dangerous projects and handling very dangerous compositions that if you don't know what you're doing, you can wind up killing yourself or burning your house down or both.

You can but it would have to be a much smaller amount. And you would also have to use a 5/5 mixture so it burns slightly slower.

Pyro Fan shells 3" and under generally go by a tenth of there finished weight. so a 60gram finished shell will need 6grams of black powder for lift
