My first luxury watch was a Baume and mercier Hampton model I bought 32 years ago. Never any issues in all that time and it looks as new and fresh as the day I bought it ( just needed new leather straps over the years ). It’s a great brand.

32 years. Talk about passing the test of time.
I’m sure it would love a professional cleaning & Lube. It’s pricey but worth it. Especially for a caliber that’s been so great to you.

I own a B&M Clifton Club Chronograph, and it's freaking awesome. They are definitely a legit Swiss watchmaker that have been around for 192 years. Unfortunately they don't have much of a market in the U.S., because people here in the states are interested in Hype brands more. It's unfortunate cause B& M make great quality watches, and are definitely underrated. Great video!!

Buying my son step son a Baumé & Mercier Clifton chrono. Gorgeous, slightly pre 50s design. Not to flex but I get incredible deals.
100% historically awesome Swiss watch house!
Most people in the USA want bragging status so Rolex…..IWC or Jaeger if they have taste.
      Good video dude.
      Thankyou.

The Only interesting and handsome watch they made was the Hampton 10032 around 10yrs ago which retailed for a ridiculous $9.700. It had a jLC Chrono movement but was a huge failure ultimately dumped on the Gray market for around $3k. I found one on ebay 3weeks ago. I bought it for $2.704 and waited 2weeks. After reaching out to the seller...ebay notified me that the watch failed the ebay authentication verification and was sent back to Seller. Seller never answered my emails!

BM make very solid watches. My father has had a BM chronograph for around 10 years and it is still in excellent condition. The chronograph function still works perfectly, the bracelet is of great quality and the price he got it for has definitely exceeded expectations.

Yes Baume and Mercier are one of my favourite watch makers , i own 3 capeland models from the early 2000s , all 3 still working perfectly keeping excellent tiime . They get a lot of wrist time.
Many times i have attempted to acquire the capeland gmt alarm model which always sells well and holds its value.
Many thanks for giving them them the spotlight.

Nice job Jory. Just happened to have my Classima on when this edition popped up, so i'll tell you why i love it:
2 hander + nice date window at 3pm.
The only whitedial and only roman numeral i own, neither are my thing, this works beautifully
Quartz but with no seconds hand.
Finished with rhodium on applied romans and hands...it really sparkles
I paid U$1k cash, you can get them for 600 or so pre-owned
The bigfun: only 6.1mm thick and metal bracelet to match
It's a really elegant dress watch, one to wear for those evening occasions. Paying 1k for a quartz 2hander will make people sniffy, but you're buying the design (and yeah, the name), it's one of my top 5 watches in the box.

B & M do indeed make nice watches. One of the unsung heroes of the mid to high level brands. Maybe a series of unsung heroes at different levels of price could be a nice series of videos! Only a couple of weeks ago I picked up a very affordable and very nice Solar Chronograph from Pulsar, an old Hamilton company bought in 1978 by Seiko. Of course Pulsar is famous for that LCD watch. Now, they make some very nice watches (some stinkers too if I'm being honest) but they have some gems. The one I got is motorsports dial style with excellent build quality and it looks very cool. PZ 5115X is the model if anyone is interested. Seems to be only available in Australia and Turkey, where I am at the moment! It's one of those wierd chronos where one of the subdials is the chrono seconds hand instead of the usual big seconds hand. Not as useful as a chronograph but great fun and looks striking! Anyway, Pulsar!! Worth a look as an ignored brand despite over 50 years of heritage ??

Baumé & Mercier are outstanding. They don’t have the reputation & status of Jaeger or IWC but they have the quality! I use the later two as an example of Swiss watches because they’re well known, highly priced(overpriced) and they have some truly iconic watches in their collection. Who doesn’t wanna own a Jaeger lecoultre reverso?
100% Legit high class historical Swiss watch house! Deserving of high praise & respect. I wouldn’t recommend anyone pay retail for a B&M but ime only wealthy narcissists do!🤣
I have allot more respect for B&M than Breitling and they’re worth more than my B&M.
I’m buying my step son a B&M Clifton chronograph for his birthday. This will be his first Swiss automatic & chronographs are freaking awesome.
I’m not a snob though, I have automatics that I could sell for $7000 on eBay even & manual wind watches that I love that I got on clearance for 80 bucks.
