This looks like a very nice vehicle by GM. I was cross-shopping significantly more expensive models but after seeing this it may hard to buy anything else. Value for money in the car market is a welcome relief.
They should have named it something different. It bears no relation to the old one. Only thing in common is where its made. "Trax" isn't exactly some legacy named they might want to hang onto. Its called the Seeker in other markets. But yeah, really great effort by GM on this one and an important car for buyers of modest means.
That’s it, I want one. Probably RS. Very good review my friend l Fantastic scenery too in Québec as usual. Hope your photographer grants you with a smile from time to time.
Should have renamed it, maybe "Tracker". There is no loyalty to the name as there is to Camaro or Silverado. I really like the entire remodel. This new Trax will appeal to all age groups. The first generation looked like something only your parents or grandparents would drive. The "Soccer Mom Jellybean Car".
many reviews on this unit. Sadly all higher $$ models. We R PO'o folk so needa basic/econo model. WAtched 6 reviews so far. Betcha tha'r R others like Us who need JuS Basic transportation now. TY ;)
first ever car review turned into a hotel review lol, pretty impressive hotel indeed, regarding the trax, its good for lease that's about it, because that 1.2L turbo engine will go kaput when warranty ends. Small under powered turbo engine that need to be pushed hard to get going all from chevy's reliability hmm...
Not against the body or tech, but the 1.2L turbo engine should come with some caution for Northern climates. 1. Cold Weather Alert! You gotta be careful with this engine during cold weather snaps. You get caught outside in 0 deg F and you will find that you won't be able to heat this car up the car past 1/4 without getting it inside a heated garage. 2. Also, it's the 1.2L ecotec-- that's a timing belt in oil design. Not sure why GM Korea didn't use the 1.3 with the timing chain. Keep your oil changes at 8-10000 km....the timing belt will need to be changed at 6 years/150000 km if it follows the same trajectory as the Peugot 1.2L turbo in Europe-- lots of issues with timing belt degradation and low oil pressure warnings before 150,000 km.
137 ponies 😂really!sounds like a gutless cutlas,GM quality and reliability still in question time will tell how this turbo holds up for my dollars i'll stick to old reliable corollas.
Sorrry sorry hadda fonecall U did do several models TY watching slowly nowv w/fone muted LOL Need boring basic tran's now. Had many Yrs of muscle camero's long ago now !!
The comment about passenger getting in and out really hit the spot. Nice call. Thanks.

Me too. Looking at CX50 and Tucson.
This Trax Active looks GREAT.
Screen projection? There seems a transmitter
Awesome review. The one I want is an Activ in that green color.
Me too!
Nice comprehensive review!
How is from driving up steep hills?
0:19 wow cool house!
Did you see inside?

Agreed 👍 It is nice to see something fairly affordable that offers plenty of value. It really does tick a lot of boxes.
It's made in South Korea by GM Korea, formerly Daewoo Motors.
its like saying nissan should get rid of the sentra name because it is garbage car.
I can’t believe they sold any of the former Trax cars.
@@JG90984 Young family member bought one. She's not really car savvy. She likes it though and after three years its been reliable.
Settle a debate between my SO and I, does RS stand for "Really Spicy" or "Ranch Sauce"?
😂
Nice styling.
Quite the place you stayed at 👍🏻
It was pretty unique and the story about it is equally interesting with 2 brothers fulfilling their fathers dream.
Let's see what kind of dealer mark-ups we are going to see
Hopefully none🤞
I don't expect much. The Trax is not a Honda HR-V or Toyota Corolla Cross.
My local dealership put a markup of 22% above MSRP 🥴 they're vultures though, it's actually below MSRP at a dealership 30 minutes away.
Can't wait until these hit dealers in Halifax so i can see one in person.

I only smile for coffee and croissants.
Awesome car, Price please
the car is already sold out in korea.
The Trax needs to have the automatic used by the Buick models.
I'm apprehensive about turbos. Lots more to break, and overheating and such.
I really like the look of the Trax. What was the name of place you stayed at in Quebec?
It was called Repere Boreal. It was an amazing experience. Talked to the owner as well and what a great guy with an amazing story
4,000+ Lbs. and only 137hp...
What could go wrong...
A lightly used Mazda CX-5 or CX-30 makes a ton more sense
The car is nice but you made me want to go to Canada 😊
That Chevrolet Trax is beautiful, but durability and reliability is always a big problem for American car brands.
I have a 2005 Pontiac grand am kept up on the regular maintenance and not one reliability or durability issue. Blame the owners for that one.
I had a 2003 cavalier for 20 yrs..so not too shabby.
Have you bought a European in last 25 years? They don't even attempt to hit that mark lol

When can Canada get this car? 😂
They’re coming now.
@@EverydayReviews2022 Do you know ETA??
It’s 11 inches longer not 6

Couldn’t help it. That hotel was so unique. Thanks for the comment.
Looks like a design from 5?years ago. Why do imports look so much better today
