What relationship does darkness have with the light? We as a church get into a pickle when we start thinking on our own without using the word of God as a guiding light to our feet. Yes the children are not only listening to Christian music but this mingling of the world with what is Holy is unbiblical. That is not going to change hearts what’s is going to change hearts is you being the example of who Jesus is and following the word of God. Living Holy as our Father in Heaven is Holy.
While listening to this, it reminded me of an interview Whitney Houston did and she sincerely asked for prayer. Now she is gone and I wonder if her prayer request was taken seriously. Yes, we should pray for Kirk Franklin and others But, they need to not just " confess " their mess. We already know he does too much. He needs to repent ( make a YOU turn ) and change the behavior. If we know the scriptures tell us that Bad Company Corrupts Good Manners, then the next move is to check and deselect the bad company. The energized ego and self centeredness of not wanting to be forgotten is seemingly more powerful than him presenting his body as a living sacrifice for Christ. It doesn't matter if any of us confess to what is wrong and obviously known when our plan is to return back to the very thing that defines and defiles us. We all must examine ourselves to see if we truly are of the faith or of foolishness. None of us are perfect. We all sin and fall short. But, it is not a good thing when wanting to stay relevant to society ( the world ) is more important than staying in right relationship with God. We are in real danger of losing our soul ( mind, thoughts, will, emotions) ourselves and our salvation to the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. If he is truly sorry...a change is gonna come. Not perfection but maturity and change in thought and behavior 🙏🏾💙

I haven't heard any apology from Kirk, just excuses for his behaviour. He even referred to his behaviour when he was a child. What happened to our old nature being crucified when we accepted Jesus? I cannot claim to be the same person I was before I was saved. Am I the only one who believes that we are supposed to have transformed minds when we are saved?
