    Just FYI I'm pretty sure that the little hole is meant for a keyring to add it to your keychain, which is what I've done. Since I never leave home without my keys I'm never without a knife, and any knife is better than no knife. If it was larger I wouldn't always have it with me.

      Fair and good point - I would def rather have this little guy than nothing at all. All in the name of comedy 🤣. Thanks for stropping by!

    Ive got one, I think it's cool how small it is. I have the one like yours now and I think at some point I will buy the blacked out version also. I just collect these tiny knives but I don't use them. It is plenty sharp though, spyderco puts a decent edge on these bugs.

      Oh absolutely Paul! I def didn't mean to disrespect the blade for the capabilities it has - I just found the size so specifically non-recommendable except for people who truly want/need something this small...and for children's dolls😊. All in good fun - thanks for stroppin by to contribute!

    Had a knife called the mosquito skinner when I was a kid, even smaller honestly. But sharp as a fucking razor.

      I hope my lampooning of this tiny knife in the name of humor is taken as humor and not to discourage people from tiny knives which can be very useful. Thanks for stropping by to share - I think I was able to find the Alaska Skeeter Skinner researching on the web...on a keychain, which is probably a good use case for this Bug too. ✌

    Lmaooooo I'll be totally honest here....I bought the bug about 2 years ago.....solely as a joke... lol but after getting it and realized it was actually a functional small sharp slip joint!!! Lol

    • @MitchBollig
      @MitchBollig  Год назад

      I was quite surprised how functional a blade it was when I sharpened it, so though I joked about this knife, it's not a total joke. It's just built for those lbh's as you mentioned - haha!!

    How does it fit in chucky’s hand ?

    • @MitchBollig
      @MitchBollig  2 года назад

      From my independent observations, Chucky tends to prefer kitchen knives. Whether it be slip joints like this Bug model or other easy-to-deploy-with-one-hand folding knives, I think Chucky is just simply more likely to reach for a fixed blade that will not require opening, and also will not risk closing on his hand as he thrusts it into unknowing victims. So the question of fitting in his hand I think is simply not as salient as folding blade versus fixed blade...hahaha 😂

    They make great lanyard beads for real knives.
    Edit: Or a great large folder for Anthony Sculimbrene (everydaycommentary)

      🤣 I wasn't familiar with his channel, but checked it out...and yeah, that's similar to my in-video comment about this fitting Nick Shabazz. And I also like the lanyard bead option - though I'm tellin ya...you're gonna need to take out the core fibers on para 325 and only use the sheath to get it through this little bugger's "dental floss" lanyard hold.

      I tend to use higher viscosity Knife Pivot Lube (KPL as you'll often hear knife geeks call it) on *most* knives in general, whether they are running on washers or ball bearings. However, there are certain knives that I prefer to use Tuf-Glide (it's essentially an analog to Nano-Oil) on since it is a "drier" oil. The general rule is bigger bearings and bigger pivots get KPL, and tiny little bearings and pivots will get Tuf-Glide. The biggest advantage of using Tuf-Glide, which might apply to your case, is the lower viscosity will allow you to very easily drop a couple of drops in without any knife disassembly at all - it will just find its way there and then you can actuate the knife open and closed a few rapid times in success to spread it around in there...and lastly, always consider a splash of 91% rubbing alcohol and blow it out with compressed air BEFORE you oil it to loosen and eject debris.

      Tuf-Glide is a good old commodity - just grab from Amazon.com a bottle with the needle tip for like $12. You only need one drop on each side of the pivot between the scale/frame and blade (ideally would want in between washer and blade). I have a bottle that is over 3 years old and I'm not even half done. Cheers to you and yours too!
