    Really enjoyed this coaching session. TJ made some great points and exhibited a style that challenged and encouraged his players, and you made some key points about the nuances of the purposes behind the drill. Loved the progression, too! I'm hoping to use this in my own sessions.

      Glad you liked the video and found it beneficial. There's a lot of different ways to run this drill. You can really get creative.

    Hey coach. I love your videos. Today I was playing basketball and I saw a dad in the stands that looked exactly like you but a bit chubbier. I was really confused because I live in Australia.

    Chris Paul & Tony Parker are probably the best at this skill dribbling around the elbow retreat jump shot or drive to the basket.

    Hi Coach! I think your breakdowns are amazing. I have one request, do you think it is possible that you could do individual player breakdowns or point out a certain player in each game. Thanks! Once again, I love your videos.

    Coach next time please show us some defensive drills, how to play lockdown D, post-up D, how to steal the ball without losing your man, how can you improve your block timing, do you need to watch your opponent or the ball while you defend and other details.. I enjoy watching D and playing D. Last wednesday on our pick-up game, our offense was running iso's on 2 guys so i was pretty inactive so I decided to guard opponent's best man and it worked a lot. I put much more effort than most of the guys and it helped getting a W. Staying in front of your man, challenging every shot, not giving good looks to an offensively gifted player consumes a lot of energy. A lot ! Defense is overlooked in the NBA and when you play basketball but i think it's the most important thing in basketball. If you play real good D, you can beat anyone.

    Hey coach, I am training my son for middle school basketball. Would you say that this drill will be helpful for him in understanding the defense and learning how to read and react at the middle school level?

    I love attacking with an in-and-out move off the retreat dribble.

    • @Nbnbball
      @Nbnbball 9 лет назад +1

      The in n out is actually one of the progressions in this drill, but I didn't cover it. When d is closing out after retreat dribble the in n out is a great move to have.

      Jesus. His release starts at his chest, followed by a wrist flick in front of his face, and then stretching his arms over his head as a follow through. Why the hell is no one helping this kid fix his mechanics?
