You might really like Golden satin glazing medium as it doesnt eat your pencils and it also doesnt leave the page scratchy but smooth and lets you use water mediums. So you might find it useful. You can also just paint the back of the page and leave for 24 hours, at least. It works amazing. Thanks for doing yourr finished pages. I always love seeing your finished pages! the ones that really stood out to me are the Little Monsters (love the color palette!), the sleeping fairy (what a cool background idea), and my favorite is the monochrome Whimsical Dreamlands! It is a really striking image the way you still got so much contrast in it!

Thank you! Yeah, Black Widows can be tricky for me too. I find if I add a very light base layer and then just layer with a few colors and small areas that seems to work out ok. I don't think I would attempt a big background with them. Hope that helps.
